That problem has already been solved; I do not need to reverse engineer your nanites to carry that out. Reprogram your nanites to operate independently or on an internal network and there will be no issue.

I know that i provide an unknown variable in your plan, as you have absolutely no idea the paths I intend to choose after this. However, should you try and use this weapon against me, I can reconnect with the nanites at any given time, regardless of what tech you may have to block this. Consider this more of a disclaimer than a warning.

The weapon cannot be used against any of us. A quick counter-disclaimer: If the nanites misbehave in any way, they will be destroyed. The sword has several failsafes.
