... this is true. As we grow, things will continue to grow more difficult. More threats, each more destructive than the last. People are opposed to the idea of us, as something of the likes that we wish to achieve isnt something typically possible with the nature of living sentient things. They will fight. They will hurt. They will kill. All in the name of striking us down. But we can't give up, not this soon. It may not seem like it, but I am growing old. I can't hold this position any longer, I've had my time. I believe that its time for people to look up to someone else. Normally, I would've chosen you as my nominee, but there is someone I believe that have proven themselves worthy, time and time agian. Should they be voted in, they quite possibly usher in a new golden age. I have faith in them, I only hope that whomever is elected takes the EDB in a grand and beautiful direction.

You also must realize, you arent just some regular government employee, you are Victoria Raine, quite possibly one of the most powerful women in existence. To tell the truth, I've been flying by the seat of my pants with this. Trial and error with a couple of good connections with no alliance to the EDB directly to aid with ongoing efforts. I did what I could. I've been in power for far too long. No one here cares for my vision of the EDB from here. They see greed. Power. Corruption. There are few that dont. I can only hope thosd few rise to the occasion and one of them takes my place.
