We were established when the leader of our lands was killed by Yoma. There are 42 of us, each assigned to one of the 42 districts. The 42nd district is the easiest to handle, so the 42nd Claymore of the organisation is the worst. That position belongs to my sister Clare. The skill gap between ranks is very large, and I am the Claymore ranked 2. We get the nickname from our swords. We get the name "Silver eyed witch" from our eyes colour.

Yoma are hellspawn. Literal hellspawn. They are demons. They can disguise themselves as human, too. They are the natural predator of humans, so they decimate them. Claymore are half Yoma, and only females can be Claymores. The organisation used to make male Claymore, but they all failed quicker than the female. All Claymores have their turning point, as Yoma blood flows through our veins more over time. We can control how much Yoma power we use. 0.1% would increase our power by 100%. 70-80% released is when you hit your turning point instantly, making you turn into a Yoma.

There's female Yoma, then there's male. Male are more powerful than female. There are female and male Awakened Beings, which are ultimately more powerful than any other Yoma. They are born from Claymores who go insane with their power and become Yoma.

At 5% our eye colour turns to that of Yoma. At 30% we get obvious physical changes. At 60% we resemble Yoma somewhat. At 80% our body becomes Yoma. At 100% our mind becomes Yoma, and the human side is killed.

We often don't have a choice.
We can also detect any Yoma power from 0.3 and up. Claymores tend to idle around 3%, so that means we can detect eachother and Yoma.
