It hasn't been established in the IC though, nor has anything referred to it or implied it that I can remember. If it hasn't happened, it can be changed. Shows do that all the time.

I don't change my ideas. I have so many underworking systems and logic beneath the IC that can't change at all. This isn't a show, this is a reality.

Well if you really really want him go be a Codex, there was another one that Baphumey killed, who was a Rank F, because she basically gave up her status of Codex. Each Codex has something within them that means that they're a part of the Codex, so while it didn't kill her, the fact that she gave it up could mean that the next Codex born received it.
