How does X-Ray vision work? I could probably make something up, but Im surprised that this is the thing you question out of all the crap I invent.
But seriously. Scientific accuracy has not been achieved yet.

Okay so this is my super fast introduction explanation that doesn't say all the important things:The Codex are 32 beings who deal with physical laws of Existence, like thermodynamics, entropy, the Pages (complexity levels, a big thing for another time), in Elkepzel's case atoms and molecules, etcetera. Ranks are I believe the precedence of one Codex or another, although it's only intuitive to me so Nimda/Legend can explain it better than I can.And this is David's not as fast full explanation that does say all the important things but not the unimportant things. It's not very long don't worry.Codex are keepers of laws of physics. They used to be guardians of Triggers, the eight items and eight being that could destroy code, basically what everything is made of. But all the Triggers were destroyed in the war, leaving the thirty two Codex completely free. Each one has a different ability, and all of said abilities require incredible calculation skill on the Codex's part to actually perform his or her ability. Ranks (also called "Levels" and "Priority Ranks") are how the Codex council determines the strength of the Codex in question, and when put directly against the physical law control of another Codex, which will take priority and overtake the other. Rank is based on both the calculation skill of the Codex and the ability itself.

If I knew how most of the stuff worked though, it wouldn't be sci-fi.

Oooh. So something I'm not capable of doing. awesome.

Knew you were going for that. It's supposed to be realistic. It can be possible but just not exist. What? Why so negative and self depreciative?
Revolutionary said
Knew you'd go for the realism argument too. Just because I'm the one who loves using tech chars doesn't mean that anyone else's superhuman chars are always realistic.

*Raises hand*Ask me about anyone. I have a scientific explanation for every character of mine. Though, I personally RP as fantasy, and not sci-fi.

Because I know I can't do it if I want to.
Revolutionary said
I know you do. And with enough time, I can have a scientific explanation for each of mine as well. (At least almost all. A couple have fantasy influences).

I don't know if my characters have scientific explanations or not. I actually don't know whether I've come up with one. I feel like I have an intuitive scientific explanation, but I don't actually know if I do. And I'm too lazy to think about it and see lel

Why do you say that? What about that can't you do?See? We always prided ourselves on our realism.

You did. I prided myself primarily on creativity, by more than a longshot.

Reading the discription, I can see 1) I will not be able to explain whatever char I have about what they do and 2) I'm not not even close with dealing with those subject.

Codex emit specific frequencies in brainwaves to alter physics.

As a collective we did. Dark more so than me, even.1) It doesn't have to be complicated. Jibril just controls pressure.2) Dealing with what?

I probably did the least.Would gravity control be a viable option for Brutus?

You just have to think about it a bit. Lay down in bed and while you're trying to sleep, let your mind run with ideas. That's how I get most of my story ideas: I wait to fall asleep and in the meanwhile think really really hard. Also I believe I already have a full drawn explanation of how Ruby's powers work, but I'll write that out after chores. I also have something for Harmonised Chaos and (the so called badly named) Harmonised Order. Maddie has the Pages already. I don't know if I'll ever use Ken again. Eventually, if I think of something to make him not bland and spur of the moment unconscious imitation of PD.whatfrequencies of whatexcuse me this sounds crazy but I don't know everything about science so explain please

Brainwave frequencies. Basically waves that react with surroundings in specific ways, each with its own unique effect, which results in the "control" of physics.Yeah, but I'd do another force that includes gravity.
