I buy it for its OS. But yes, that was a stupid decision. Their damage control, releasing both an adapter and lightning headphones, however, was excellent.

Agreed. Audio quality has almost reached its peak, and they exchanged a fully functional solution for a proprietary one in order to sell licenses.
