There’s also the implicit "always-improving" outlook, which is deftly woven into their characterisation, wherein the value of another individual's opinion on the internet is inversely proportional to what percent of said opinion is present on the internet- the ideological philosophy draws heavily from ancient Japanese tales like Journey to the West, for instance.

Yes, but quality if the production also does not equate to its entertainment value. The only way to objectively gauge something's ability to entertain is to see how many it entertains.
