Right. It's a train of runes that light up one at a time and stay lit. You can deactivate any rune you want, but as long as the front rune is active, it'll continue activating the rune ahead of it and so on. It's kind of like a signal being sent down a wire, and they can't stop it until they cut the wire where the signal hasn't yet reached.

You can use them for direct communication to another individual via a private channel if the speakers are on DataNet (name pending). Effectively, if they're communicating via a private channel, it would be theoretically invisible to everyone other than those on any platforms that information leaks to.

It's kind of complicated and the Guild isn't very conducive to that kind of system. When MR was on iFunny, it was effectively necessary since no beings other than humans could read the private chats.

Yeah, the only difficulty is that I'm fairly certain the Guild isn't canonically synced to DataNet's chat system right now, which is why we get what is closer to security camera system footage than direct messages, where things like () would come in handy. I suppose it could always change if someone wanted to use the messaging system though.

I also hope that makes some amount of sense.

Going back through old stuff because why not, and I find this concept again.

So if I understand this correctly, things in parentheses () are basically open messages that anyone within the chat group it's posted in can see unless leaked, of at which point anything else can see it as well?

Parantheses were representative of sending PMs about eight years ago on another site. They're pretty much deprecated, but could conceivably be brought back if someone wanted to invest the narrative energy to do it. I would look closely into whether it's really optimal for what you're interested in doing, though.

Gonna just toss this out into here to get feedback on it. It's gonna be the foundation of which I build other stuff off of.

I Belong to Me (Pwr): The foundation of their powers, this is the fundamental reason why they are even able to do much of anything. In essence, they have insanely high authority over everything about themselves and their own concept, but they cannot control what isn't already there.

Fracture Field (Skl): By spreading out their own concept of self and then using their authority, they can essentially create a psudo-reality that lets them interact with dimensional realities. Often existing as the focal point of the field, it's user tends to be smack dab in the middle of it. The size of the field itself however is inversely proportional to the total level of authority they can exercise. The ratio of this proportion is [1.00e^x : 100%*((1/2)^x-1)] with scale on the left and total authority available on the right. At x=1, the field's size is exactly the size of an iteration's form. Additionally, using the field past a certain scale creates vulnerabilities related to manifesting and imposing one's will.
