Alright, so I and a friend of mine co-own a modded 1.7.10 server, and we could use some help testing the new mods. All you have to do is just play! Here's the requirements and the recommendations to get whitelisted on the server.
Requirements:
1. At LEAST 4 gigabytes of RAM. No seriously, any less and don't even bother applying. You won't be able to start the pack.
2. Must be okay with occasional lag and crashes. I do my best to keep things running smooth, but almost all these mods are alpha/beta versions.
3. Must be at least a regular of Spam/know me from other RPs. This is not a bukkit server and has no plugins to prevent griefing. This is on purpose, as almost no mod developer will accept crash reports if the server is running bukkit. Therefore, I'm not letting random people on so they can break everybody's shit.
4. Must be able to respect other people's property. We're all friendly people and are willing to lend you resources, we just don't appreciate raiders.
5. You must NOT share the IP with everybody and their friends. This is for security reasons. Our host has pretty good security measures in place, but I'd prefer not to have to make use of them. Besides, this server is whitelisted, so no point in sharing the IP anyways.
6. Must be okay with frequent updates.
7. MUST HAVE AT LEAST JAVA 7.
8. No Optifine. Optifine will render any crash reports invalid.
9. MUST HAVE A 64 BIT OPERATING SYSTEM.
Recommendations:
1. A halfway decent computer. As a rule, if you get over 60 FPS in vanilla(without Optifine), you should be okay in modded. If you get less then 30 in vanilla however, you're gonna have a bad time on here.
2. Previous modded MC experience. Several of our mods have been around since 1.2.5, some even earlier. But don't worry, as I'm more then willing to help you out!
3. Knowledge of MultiMC. You'll have to dedicate at least 2 gigabytes of RAM to minecraft, change permgen to 256, put in mods, and install forge. All of this is relatively simple, and there is plenty of tutorials on the youtubes.
4. Being okay with pranks. We do a lot of that on here. If you aren't okay with that however, just say so in your post.
All people who are accepted will get a PM from me containing a link to the download of the pack and the server IP. Just remember I need your minecraft username so I can whitelist you!
