Yeah, the one I'm referring to is one of my main D&D characters. She's conflicted and a bit evil because her wood elf bloodline was tainted by a drow.

I don't get to play much either, and I only just recently started playing in college. Now that I'm graduated and moved away, I don't have any friends to play it with, and I feel too noobish to play on the tabletop forums on this site. xD

I don't wanna play on the internet, cuz then I may as well play a video game. The thing about D&D that intrigues me is the pen and paper analogue aspect, the dice rolling and miniature painting. There's got to be some players around here, but where? They're such elusive creatures...

The best way to find players is to find you local hobby shop that sells board games, card games, and figurines. Those kinds of places often host D&D encounters nights and other events that people who play those kinds of things would hang out at. Just know that if you are a girl, you may have to fight off hormonal mouth breathers and neck beards... I say this with unfortunate experience. >.>

Such is the plight of the average girl nerd. I'm glad that I am not one of those guys and treat women the same I treat the guys that go into hobby stores. I pride myself as the least socially awkward Magic player in my area :P

Sure. There is usually about 3-5 players and a DM (dungeon master). The players have characters that are built according to a specific layout, skills and abilities etc etc and the DM starts the game with a setting and has to accommodate the actions taken by the party. The DM also controls all monsters and NPC's.

So for a quick analogy. The DM is the Game, the players are the players :P

Neat, I just looked it up. Apparently a comic book store near me does D&D stuff Tue and Wed. I hope they allow beginners in.
