I thought the Knights went off with the King? I would figure it safer to preserve the King's personal guard, since an Evoker can have unpredictable powers, and could possibly eliminate or even turn them over to the Evoker's own cause. Archers would be more suited to the Evoker-killing cause.

Then you didn't read my post, and your character is seriously over powered. There is no reason you should have been able to do that from the center of a ring of swords, the most logical thing for you to do would have been to lead off with your lightning powers and break a whole in the ring so you could escape to the outside and then your speed would actually matter because you wouldn't let them reform around you.

his Knights sprung into action. "Seize the relic user! This is his doing! Get the King to safety!" There cries frightened the nervous crowd which began to flood towards the exits as Grand Master Estyn and several other Knights surrounded the King and began to pull back into the safety of the building, rushing through to the hidden chariot at its back door. The guards, and the knights made a circle around the young man and began to close in,

Edit: Further more, these are knights. They've been training since they were squired as children. Which means anywhere from fifteen to thirty five years for most of them.

Edit(2): provided we are ready to accept any consequences that comes with revealing our powers in this dangerous time for the Relic-using kind. <--Looks like your character did not adhere to his own words.

D'ah, shit. I missed quite a few OOC pages. Got caught up in the IC, though. Mobilize the Constabulary! For King and Country!

Thanks Spark ^-^

By the way, I just assumed that there were at least 15 Vocator girls at the arena (that number stood out to me but reading back I realised that was the girls' age), if that should be more (or less) just let me know and I'll edit it!

Hey, looking at the map, wouldn't it make more sense if the invading army was to the south, not the east? I mean, unless they're invading by boat.

You're welcome.

@Chukkles, the south is occupied by the Kingdoms of Lendria and Cerania.

Not that far south, I mean just that space below the city. You know, so they don't have to march around a lake from their camp which was described as "To the east, between the lake and the mountains"

Also they're kinda blocking Artemis's escape route right now.

What your saying makes perfect tactical sense, but it is more difficult to execute geographically. They would have had to spend days or weeks more arcing tunnels that could collapse at any moment into the proper position, or risk discovery by surfacing and traveling over land.

I thought them not to be Knights, but just guardsmen. However, I will take out the entire fighting part, and next time, he'll only use swords against opponents with light armor that the swords can cut through, such as leather or chainmail. Instead, he'll just be responding to stoneman. I can't remember names very well in this rp >:/

That's alright, just try to pay attention. And remember that other people sacrificed the ability to use cool lightning bolts, and explode stuff, so they could use superhuman fighting skills. Nobody should get both.

Here's the "Remnant Building" outline for Artemis's "Temple"

Name: Refuge of Moonlight

Purpose: According to Artemis's findings, the Refuge served two purposes. It was used as both a kind of "Rite of Passage", where holders of Relics would prove their worth by completing challenges, both physical and mental, and as a place of rest and an outpost for battle weary soldiers.

Unique Aspects:

Besides these, there are a multitude of rooms locked by the Rite. As more of the Rites are completed, these rooms will become available.

Status: Functional. The Refuge has survived remarkably well through the passage of time. It seems to have been built to truly last.

There. My character used electricity to use the armor of the Knights against them.

Is this better, or should I have something else?

ALSO: [This is an Edit] When Myth said 'consequences,' he was referring to the Idris peoples coming after them.

And, technically, Myth did sacrifice something to use his lightning. I will now make it so that he absolutely SUCKKS at fighting groups. Too many people to keep atrack of. If they're inexperienced enough, then he'd beat them. Bandits wouldn't be too much of a match. However, a squad of soldiers would be. He has to take them on one-by-one, or, max, two at once. Otherwise, he'll not be able to keep them within his mental vision of his battlefield, and be open for an attack.

Aerii people?

And I'll let that slide, partly because they're not trained to handle evokers. But for future reference, both the glove and the grip of the sword is usually wrapped in leather and that is not highly conductive.

Is my temple of trials acceptable my liege? Also the leather would melt under the voltage of a lightning bolt, making very little difference to the conductivity of the armor as a whole. (Moral: Don't walk around in a thunder storm in full plate armor holding a sword above your head just because the hilt is wrapped in leather.)
