“Day 366? Was this leap year? I don’t seem to remember. Other than the case, it’s been a year. One year in this forest alone, with literally nobody except for the supernatural at the hotel, and I’d rather not say hi to those guys. Ever since the humans and supernatural escaped last year, the supernatural that stayed are the ones who still their daily torture of their precious humans, and as my girlfriend-am I allowed to call her that?- is a human we can’t really be that good of friends.
“The town. The town I was in that was completely empty with only the word CROATOAN carved on a streetlamp. It was where I led everyone because I believed the town would be better than Danny’s little complex he just found. Speaking of which, I haven’t been able to find that either. Both of those places are just...gone. I went out of the town for a single moment to go prove that dryads were real and I went back to the town just to find grass. Don’t know how I lost a town, but I guess if anyone were to it would be me.
I haven’t had the luxury of looking at myself in a mirror, but I can guess that I’m pretty hideous. My eyes have become bloodshot since the only thing I’ve been able to feed off is animals, and it’s making me really twitchy. Fortunately since I’m already insane, it’s taking longer for me to lose my head and die. The only thing I’ve been able to cut my hair with has been my own dagger, and without a mirror I’m not that successful, nor am I an experienced barber, so I can only assume that the results are horrendous, and I’ve already cut my skin with the dagger. My facial hair has grown a bit, but I’m at least a bit more successful cutting the beard off since I can at least partially see it.
I finally found my tape after fifty days in the forest, and I’m keeping it with me this time. I think I dropped it sometime when I was travelling to the hotel. Oh those were fun times. I’ve replayed the tapes constantly since it’s the only person I can talk to. Yeah, I’m pretty much talking to myself, but Kate is in there a few times so I guess that makes it better.
I’ve visited the grounds where the town has been quite a while now. I’m going to visit it one last time, then I have to leave this forest. This is Nixon Anderzel, and if you find this tape look around, because I’m keeping this thing with me so that means I’m dead if you find it and my corpse should be somewhere or my enemies removed it.”
Nixon flipped off the recorder and put it back in his pocket. He was shaking now, but he knew no amount of animal blood would fix that, he had already tried. Nixon was going to die soon if he didn’t get human blood, and he was already on cheated time. He walked back to where he remembered the town was. He knew this forest like the back of his hand now, but he still had never seen a dryad. He supposed they really didn’t exist, or they had been hiding from him this entire year.
Shoving past several bushes revealed the initial small dirt path he had formed to know the exact place the town was. He walked down it, scratching his stubble. He heard absolutely nothing from this forest anymore, his senses had been extremely dumbed down from taking animal blood.
Nixon shoved past the last bit of bushes that hid the field where the town was supposed to be. There he saw what he-Nixon abruptly stopped.
It was there, it was back.
Vlad awoke with a bright smile on his face. The shapeshifting vampire got up from his oversized and comfortable bed, and quickly made his way into the shower. About fifteen minutes later, he was out and dressed in his usual clothing; a dark colored suit, and a cape that flowed down to the floor. He picked up his sword from the top of his chest, and strapped it to his waist.
A couple of minutes later, the man was walking down one of the many hallways of his beloved castle. He passed the numerous doorways and finally smiled when he came to a familiar one, with a small plaque that had the name “Ivan” on it. Vlad knocked twice before entering.
Ivan’s eyes shot up from his female guest in the bed with him as he heard the sound of a couple of knocks on the door, and at the sound of a door opening. He looked back at the unnamed female, one of the townspeople he had chosen for a little fun that night, and brushed her hair back as she cowered in fear and disgust. When he looked back, Vlad was standing at the doorway of Ivan’s bedroom, a frown on his face. With a small smile, he started to rise from his bed.
“Hello sir,” he said politely as he slipped on his robe over his pale and skinny, yet muscular, body. “I didn’t know I was expecting company this morning. If I would have known you were coming, I wouldn’t have had a girl with me.”
“It is no problem, Ivan,” Vlad said with a smile. “Listen, we have a big day today. I need to go find my ‘daughter,’ Lilia. Send your little, pet, back to her cell, and then go get a search party together. There are bound to be some stragglers, so we can snatch them up. Now, up. Go.” As soon as Ivan told him he understood, Vlad turned on his heel and walked out of the door, whistling a small tune as he did so.
Another twenty minutes later, the shapeshifting vampire was at another room with a placard on the door marked ‘Hammond’. After a couple of knocks, he walked in. He nodded to the trickster in the room and greeted him with what could be described as a half-smile. “Hello, Hammond. Hope you are doing well. I have a question about your little illusion you placed on that town, and the people in it. When does it wear off?”
The only thing that could be heard below grounds, aside from the occasional faint groans and screams of those being tortured, was the click, click of shoes on the cold, hard, stone floor.
Hammond looked up at Vlad, giving a small wave then disappeared. The real Hammond appeared to Vlad’s right, whose hands were currently soaked in blood. “Oh Vlad, I’m doing just wonderful after my five month nap. It really helps a man out after he puts an entire town in a one-day time loop for an entire year and make it invisible to everyone outside. But, let’s see, the time…” He looked up at the ceiling, and a clock appeared, spinning very fast but then suddenly stopping. “Today, glad you asked, I would’ve forgotten to check. I assume it’s time.”
Daniel looked up after coughing blood, and saw only small lights from candles passing by before blacking out again. When he finally came to, he tried to look around, but couldn’t see anything from the blood that had dripped into his eyes, blurring his vision. He could, however, make out the distinctive sound of the opening of a door to his cell, and before he knew it, he was thrown roughly into his cell, where he again blacked out.
When Daniel finally came to, he sat up against the wall, and looked across his cell, listening to the silence. That’s all there ever was for however long he was in the damn cell. He moved his head to look at the rest of his cell for the billionth time. A small, shabby cot that smelt of mold and blood and sweat from his now endless nightmares, and from various wounds around his body. If he tried really hard, he could hear the soft breathing of somebody in the cell next to him. He couldn’t really tell who it was, but if he had to guess, it would have to be a female. He looked over at the wall behind him, in the direction of the other cell, and knocked on it once, twice, three times. Hopefully the other person could hear the knocks. He needed someone to communicate with. Anyone.

Kaori ( castle cell)
Day 336, or whatever the hell day it is

What am I suppose to write now? How do my days in the castle dungeon go?

Wake up in a cot that’s probably had at least 20 people die in. Sometimes i sleep for days if the last torturing session took its toll. Stare at a wall. Try to use my powers that never quite work or are completely gone. I guess that happens when you’re human, and the guards inject you to keep those down. Stare at a wall. Ignore who ever is in the cell next to me. Stare at a wall. Eat the ‘food’ and water they give us and try to keep it down. Stare at a wall. And then Sleep, while staring at a wall. Oh, and there’s this guy i think about every now and then. I call him daniel… this notepad doesn’t have enough paper to expand more on that one. but he was there, in the hotel, from day one with me. We’ve kissed a couple times. Maybe it was once, or never… i can’t quite remember, these years are getting to me but i know he’s kind of..close to me. There’s also Nixon, who is whenever. The lycan brothers...er cousins Kain and alfons.
.

Kaori dropped the pencil and notepad next to her cot she sat on, crossing her arms and pushing her back against the stone cold wall as the small bunch of paper protesting being carelessly tossed about with a thump, the sound of it’s papers whooshing in the short current of wind after it going along with it.
Kaori’s Brown eyes skittered across the surface of her cell, hardened from years of anything but an easy life. The fingers of her right hand tapped across her elbow over the rip in the cell clothing. She reach up to run her fingers through the matts in her chocolate colored her, grimacing as she forced a few of those out. A breath left her lips.

Knocking. She count them in her head. One. Ignore it two. Glare at the wall. than three. “WHAT?!” She lashed out, her voice cracking from never saying much and fuming pieces of anger. She wasn’t mad at the person, but her total situation, thinking her final resting place would be the dead-people cot. Her head throbbed and pound as she overexerted her body by merely trying to sound angry, to which she put her hand over her forehead and sighed. For the love of god, talk since you pretty much haven’t for past year. After fussing at herself mentally, she walked over to the wall and crouched down next to it.

“You know, normal people knock on doors, not walls.” She said coldly. Her people skills weren’t the best, and to be honest, she didn’t think it was worth refining them anyway if nothing ever stayed. What goes your name, stranger? Where are you from? You can call me that-girl from the hotel, or just...ka..” Her voice cracks on her and she coughs a few times. “Kaori”.
Delilah, nickname: Liliah (Castle bedroom)

The 4’8 young girl dug her pale fingers into her bedroom desk that held a wooden antique mirror, pressing her weight into her toes so she could see what would stare back at her. It was someone her age, and oddly looked alot like her. A pale, flawless complexion, crystal blue eyes, and blonde locks that cured slightly at the ends, all paired with a set of a sandy fox tail and ears- all of this looked inhuman, she was after all part werewolf, vampire, and kitsune.
She waved with one small hand, opening and closing her fingers. The girl in the mirror waved back, her pink lips starting to twitch up into a childish smile that’d never quite make it there fully. Although beautiful, she’d always feel a gulf pit of sadness deep in her stomach that a five year old could never quite put into words . This castle treated her well, but never had her mother’s worried gaze and fluffy 8 tails she’d run up to squeeze them all into a hug- the white fur always made her sneeze, but she didn’t mind. Where was that?

Father was also confusing. After leaving her cozy bungalow at the hotel, there was a point in the pathway she felt really tired and had fallen to sleep. When she woke, daddy looked different- instead of having striking features with hair like her own, he turned dark, with gawky-vampiric features that didn’t match her outspoken blood-wolf father. Oh well, who was she to judge? Dad changed faces, but after all, he still was her ‘dad’.

Liliah threw open her tall bedroom door, her tiny legs sprinting down the hallway. “Daddy?Daddy’s dog( werewolf) ?
Kate (With Nixon, forest)
“Hey, you found it.” The sound of Kate’s combat boots shuffling through dry dirt while snapping a couple of twigs came up behind Nixon. She took in the site with silence, save a few chuckles that escaped her lips after hearing Nixon record his ‘adventure’. “I thought you were talking about nonsense- well, maybe part of it. The only forest spirit here to torture you, is me. Your kind-of girlfriend?” She proposed, coming to stand next to his side. Nixon was and would always be tense upon the topic of romance, but the human female quite liked flustering her kind-of boyfriend vampire.
She knew the absence of human blood took it’s toll on him without the hotel’s supply, but leaving that place was the best thing. Ever. Memories from the past 3 years was all that she still carried with her from that place- sometimes it was like she never left- dreams of torture were so surreal that the pain she felt while sleeping would bleed into the real world until she-or someone else- helped he come to her senses. She hid an extremely thin body under the black shirt she wore. Meals were a blessing, coming in abundance during summer and as scarce as an ocean in the middle of a desert during the winter.
Despite that, she still treasured every moment of freedom she could keep under her fingertips. After a few moments had passed of swallowing the fact that Nixon found a whole town, she spoke softly, her words almost being carried away with the wind. “So...What ...now?”

“My name is Pyotr Nikolai. Twenty-Three years of age, Serial code 040147. My name is Peter Nikolai. Twenty-Three years of age, Serial code 040147. My name is Peter Nikolai-” The hunter repeated these words as a mantra, the only words he said while he was imprisoned at Vlad's complex. He carved another tally mark into the wall with one of his fingernails. If he hadn't lost track of time, it should have been one year, one day, fifty-two minutes, and 33 seconds since the moment he had been captured.

Being a hunter, he didn't get much in accommodation from supernatural scum. Just the cold hard ground. Maybe some food and water when they decided to remember. His physical state was very very critical, any wounds gathered from torture sessions were left largely untreated, but the pain subsided after a while at least. but at least his mind was intact, for the most part. Those cowards didn't even fight fair, he was ambushed and imprisoned. Now, he had to figure out a way to get out, and kill every single supernatural bastard he lay his eyes upon.

The worst part of it was that he didn’t even know if his cellmate was a supernatural or not, or even if the cellmate was still alive. Pyotr hadn’t bothered checking, he knew that if it was a supernatural he’d probably make a mess out of the cell mauling he or she, or have his guts splattered all over the wall trying. Besides, he needed to keep what little strength he had to prepare for any chance he got at escaping.

Pyotr glanced at the wall carvings he had made…. all he knew was that someone named Vlad ran the complex he was in right now, from conversations he had overheard from guards and whatnot. But he had nothing else to go on… the place seemed inescapable from the places he had been taken too.

It got harder to think as outside noise became louder for a bit. Pyotr couldn't tell where it was coming from, the complex played tricks on his mind anyway. The source of the noise could be right next to him, or the cell block next door. He muttered again, just in case his tormentors had decided to come for another torture session again.

“I am only allowed to discuss my name, age, and serial number under hunter code B66-666. My name is Pyotr Nikolai. Twenty-Three years of age, Serial code 0401…”

Aniela

It has been at least a good three months since Ani had gotten word about the Manager and his hotel, she thought she was actually quite close to tracking it down until she came upon a town earlier that day. No one was in the town for what Aniela saw. It was empty, a ghost town. It puzzled her really. She wasn't quite sure why everyone had dissapeared. The last time she had heard of a missing city, was almost 200 years ago. The Lost Colony, she had been one of the ones to descend upon the colony of Roanoke only to find a word carved upon a tree, and that word was CROATOAN. Ani sighed as she thought of back then, human kind had barely even spred across the world yet, as for now they dominated the Earth. But the supernaturals would always over power them, she knew of that.

The empousai walked through the streets of the town, no one had heard of this town from whom she had asked before she came. She had met many other so called supernaturals (Mages), on her way here, she had asked them about the town, but no one had a clue. That, too, also puzzled her. It was a leap year while at it. These many things clawed at her mind asking her what sense did any of this made. She didn't know, nor did she ever know.

Ani did admit, she was crazy. That was why she enjoyed the things she did, seh absolutly could not wait to get her hands on a human, preferably a hunter. They were the funnest, she could picture everything she would do. She would, first of all, tie them up, then she would begin cutting every part of the humans body. She would laugh as she saw the human squirm, cry out, scream for her to stop, but no she wouldn't stop. She was just that crazy, then last she would rip the human's throat out if she could, then suck their blood until they were dry. She could imagine all that right now, she craved it all. But she would first have to find someone to do it too! If she couldn't find a human, she would use a supernatural.

Andrew's place/complex:

Eline was deep in though. Sience a year had passed alot of unnatural things were happening. Hunters had gone missing along with several humans that were involved in the hotel liberation. Wondering who survived and who vanished was something she had been looking into. However there was no evidence. The boy who called himself Daniel was also not found.

Streatching she sat up. She had just finished a nap to clear her mind of all the troubling events.

(will post for Luka and Vivian soon...need to think where they could be.)

Mason and Aaron were glad have finally been far away from that damned hotel, such a place shouldn't even exist in their opinion. There were some pros and cons to it though, they met people, a lot of people, some they doubt they'd ever forget. The bad side was that they had no free will, no rights to do as they pleased, their "handlers" always had them on a tight leash. They were glad it was all over, they had followed Nixon and now they ended up in a town, an empty one too with a carving of a word on a street lamp post. Aaron was familiar with the croatoan mystery, the missing colonists, it put him on edge, who carved this and why? Mason brought his hand to the post, gracing his fingers along the carved in letters and looking to his brother.

Daniel, Cell
K-Kaori!? Daniel thought to himself. The vampire shot up as quick as he could and opened his mouth. He wanted to shout, yell, scream for joy that he had found her, and that she was at least alive, but nothing came out. All those days of almost endless torture, all theose days that he had cried out, begging them to stop, all those days where he showed his true nature; nothing but a pathetic, scared, sad creature, had left his vocal cords so messed up, they barely worked. Not even his powers worked. Being mentally drained every day had taken a toll on him, and his thoughts would never have made it passed the cell wall. So, instead of a shout, all that came in response to the girl's question was a couple of quick knocks, hopefully showing some kind of urgency.
The vampire tried to force a smile, but he didn't have the energy to do so. He was glad that she was alive, glad that she had made it through, glad that she had stayed(as far as he knew, which was basically nothing) strong all this time. Knock, knock, knock once more, he knocked. Kaori, it's me...
(Will write for my other characters and guards tomorrow, once everyone had posted.)

Mike:
Once again, being chained and tortured while being kept apart and unfed. Mike was howling in anger and rage, never had the bloodwolf been angered this much and this had been happing for a year just how long did Vlad think he can keep Mike away from his daughter and fiancé. Not much longer it seems as the chains were tore down from the wall and killed the guards that had been there.

Sashia:
Sashia was sniffing the ground and all around as she tried to find her brother scent to find out what had happen to him, it had been a year since he had vanished and she was worried. Her relationship with Luka had grown a lot stronger over the year and Sashia loved having her around. She loved Luka dearly.

Nayra:
Nayra was busy doing ... well nothing really apart from sorting out her gun. She had a goal in her mind and she was not going to let anything stop her. She would kill the manager in vengeance for all her hunter friends she lost and then she would kill Vlad and Daniel for leading the second group into a trap. She loaded up her gun and looked around for one of the friendly supernatural she had started to get on with.

Raphael:

Blood and pain was all that he can rememeber happening the past year...or has it been only a couple of months that passed, he couldn't remember. It was hard to keep track of time when you're the subject of countless of torture sessions. Raphael winced as he pulled the hood of his jacket up to try to hide his now half healed wounds on the lower part of the left side of his face and neck. Those and any small cuts and bruses throbbed in pain everytime he tried to move caused him to hiss in pain. "There's people actually talking some..." He muttered when voices drifted into his dirty, bloody cell. It was somewhat a nice change of pace to hear someone talking, and not screaming their voice hoarse like he did when his scars were reopened. Screaming and pleading was the only things he could remember now that he took the time to think on it. The sky seems now a foreign thing to him now. Raphael pulled his hand away from his face when fresh blood coated it after he absently scratched his cheek. "No, not again. I can't aford to loose any more blood. What if they come to get me again?"

Kaori
Knock. Kno-knock-knoc-knock .
Despite her subtle insult to the prisoner, they continued to knock, except more rapidly this time. Even more so, there was a hunter chanting the same words over, saving a few times when he’d switch his name from peter to pyotr. “ Insane. These people are all insane.” she said to herself, casting a glance up to the stone roof. It wasn't exactly plain- an observant eye could tell there were small indentations of lines there. She’d sat there and counted them all once. “2056…..2056...” Okay, maybe i’m part insane too. They say the first part to fixing a problem is recognizing you have one, right?
Staring at the wall like it was it’s fault the sounds had happened, she pick up a rock that could be described as a little bigger than a pebble, and threw it. The rock made a white mark in the place it had rubbed against the rock wall, but did nothing more to her dismay. The knocks still came through loud and clear. She caught onto the urgency of whoever was behind that wall- how were they not driven away by her bitterness?
She took the notepad and pencil still laying there messily about her empty cell and did a mixture of walking and crawling when her legs were too weak to carry anything to the front edge of her cage. Whether there was a rock wall or bars there too, she’d look for an opening to get the supplies coated in dirt to his cell.
Why am i even concerning myself with this person? Do they honestly think i could explode this place and whisk everyone out of here to safety? We’re screwed. If i haven’t learned anything in the past year i’ve learned that. Kaori twisted her lips into a pitiful smile as more thoughts raced across her mind.Everyone’s lives here were walking on a tightrope, and if they were to fall, it was all over. No one could save you. Falling would not be death to her, that was way at the bottom… falling off would be losing her sense of strength or herself. This, to her, was death, living as the breaking shell of someone you once were.
“Well stranger… Do you see it? Take it, it has writing worth nothing to you. Use a blank side. ”

Luka watched her lover as she was walking along the town. It was so empty and barely any signs of life. "So again your brother is missing." She said to Sashia. "Any clues as to where he was going at the time?" Luka had been helping Sashia find clues to her brothers wereabouts for a year now. During that time she and Sashia had grown to be in love more then ever and Luka was even planning to discuss the possibility of marriage as soon as Sashia was ready.

Vivian stalked the forests by the now abandoned almost hotel. She would often come there to hunt for prey. Food was not easy to come by in a place where not that many people or supernaturals were around. She was slightly surprised that so many could vanish without a trace..

Mike had been fast approaching the levels of a feral bloodwolf now and Spike was waitingfor Mike to snap once more but Mike bit into one of the Guards necks and drank all there blood. Mike had slowly been returning to drinking normal blood since his Medical blood supply was gone this was slowly making him go insane.

Sashia sighed and wiggled her wolf nose which returned to normal as she shock her head "Nope, no luck. How can a scent just vanished into thin air epically Delilah unique hybrid scent" She sat down on a bench and closed her eyes.

Ani seemed that she could not find anyone in the town, until she happend to approach an area where a post was. From where she was, she could read the word CROATOAN, which confirmed her rising suspicion, but she could also see two boys, one with his hand on the post, and the other was near by. She grinned slightly and began to approach them. Instead of taking them first hand, she would play with them, she would make them think she was human, or their friend. "Hey! Where did you guys come from? There's no one around this town, its beginning to quite freak me out!" she hollered over to them to catch their attention. Her black hair bounced as she took each step towards to the boys.

She reached them eventaully and looked around. "Do you know why everyone has left? I-It's so confusing. I was coming here to see a family member, but they are gone!" she exclaimed then looked at the post, "Croatoan? Isn't that something that happened a long time ago? Like colonist days?" she asked, trying to sound panicked, even confused.

Luka heard what Sashia said. "If I had to guess there might be something preventing you from tracking them down. Scents usually do no just vanish." Having said that she sat down next to Sashia and wrapped a reassuring arm around her. "We will find him and Delilah if it is the last thing we do.."

A massive creature prowled the halls of Vlad's complex, it's heavy steps were accompanied with the sound of a low growl. An apex predator searching for prey, sniffing the air and listening carefully for anything, it stood at a towering height of just over 3 meters tall. It's rounded snout showed only slits for nostrils and no visible signs of a mouth. In human form it would be referred to as Cassius, but in this monstrous form it was called Petentem by the one's who new of its existence which was rare. So far within the complex, he had devoured many supernaturals who either attempted escaped or failed to fend him off when he hungered. He needed to find food sooner or later, at this point Vlad himself was an option. His stomach growled slightly as he sniffed around, he could smell blood, lots of it.

Luka smiled. She kissed Sashia back and then nodded. "No matter what happens I will always be by your side. I will not allow myself to be used again. If there were she would ask them what happened with everyone a year ago..

Nixon looked over at Kate, then looked at the town and give a small grin. "Well, I hope they've been running things well without me, and I'd like to know where they've been. Then, I'd like to have some food. Food would be awesome right now," he laughed. And blood, he thought. Or I'll probably die. Fatigue pressed hard on him now, and his bloodshot eyes were getting worse. He could drop dead soon, but hopefully he just faints instead, and he'll probably die in his sleep afterward.
Anthony sat up in the old hunter base where he had fallen asleep the night before. He gave a small yawn before standing up. The hunter grabbed his dagger on the floor then picked up the strange sword Kaori had given to him, putting it in a sheath on his right hip. The day before hadn't been too exciting. Wake up, eat something he found, talk with Eline for a bit, look at the strange CROATOAN markings, make several plans, investigate the old hunter base, and then fall asleep. It was what he had been doing the entire year. But finally the repeats were over, but to him it was just the next day. Outside of the hunter base, Anthony looked over at the center of town, finding a girl talking with Mason and Aaron near the CROATOAN sign. "Where's Nixon?" He wondered aloud quietly. The vampire had been gone for a day on the promise that he would be back soon, but it had been an entire day. Anthony probably needed to go look for the guy, even though he was insane the vampire kept the group together. Anthony knew he couldn't run it, being a hunter most of the supernatural would probably just kick him out or kill him. Anthony sighed and walked down the center road, looking around for Nixon.
Rand shook unsteadily, shivering from the cold. They had been using temperature mixes on him for the last several days. At some times Rand would think he was lit on fire, and on others the hunter was sure he was going to get frostbite. It wasn't terrifying, but the long unending hours of screams kept him up. One year of this and he still hadn't seen anyone, literally no one. Not even a single torturer, yet here he was lying on the ground freezing to death. Just kill me already...
Seven Perrin wrote down on his pad of paper. The guards in the complex were nice enough to give it to him ever since they cut out his tongue several months ago. I've rammed my head seven times against the wall and that's when it finally hurt. Since the initial count for insanity is twelve, I am only partially insane. The pencil's led broke off so Perrin grabbed his sharpener and scraped it to get more led out. This is what I get for trusting a supernatural, now it's been 33,421 days since I lost saw the hotel and 33,321 days since I met Hammond. I hate tricksters more than sirens now.

Sashia smiled and held Luka hand as she kissed her on the lips again and said "I know Luka, You are my true love. My heart has never pounded so hard since I've been with you"

Vlad nodded his head once in response to the trickster. “Good. Then I will have a search party ready to go to pick up any stragglers. I should have done it when they were in the loop, but I couldn’t risk having them trapped there. In any case, you will go with them to make sure all goes according to plan. However, if we fail, you need to conjure up some illusions so that my guards can get away. But first, I want you to start assigning captives to their torturers. ” At that moment, a familiar voice rang through the halls, and a small smile flashed across the Vampire’s face. “Now, if you will excuse me, I have a daughter to attend to.” With that, he turned and left.
Not even a few minutes after stepping out of the trickster’s room, Vlad saw his ‘daughter’ Liliah bounding through the hallway. The smile returned to his face as he stooped down and picked the little girl up. “Ah! There she is! How are you this morning, pumpkin? Did you sleep well? Shall we get something to eat?”
Vlad looked down at his fairly new daughter with something no one would ever see from him; love. Had she been a human, he wouldn’t have cared that she was being taken to the cells to be starved, but she wasn’t. She was a supernatural. He couldn’t do something like that to a little supernatural girl. Plus, he always wanted a kid, and as soon as he saw her, he had a chance. She didn’t seem to notice (or if she had, she didn’t say anything) anything odd with the fact that he looked different from her real father, and that was okay with him. As soon as he set her down, he turned to the sound of quick footsteps approaching the two of them. It was Ivan.
Ivan stopped a few feet in front of Vlad and his daughter and gave the small girl a nod before turning his attention back to his boss. “Sir, we have a situation. It seems that one of the inmates have escaped, and has started killing guards.”
Vlad shook his head and sighed. “Well, you are head of security detail, are you not? Get on it. Now. I will not have an inmate causing a ruckus in my complex, so we will torture him publicly to make an example. Now take care of it.” As soon as Ivan left, he turned back to his ‘daughter’ and smiled. “So, how about that breakfast?”
A hand shot out to grab the pad and pencil, and quickly retracted, taking the stuff with it. Daniel picked up the pad and quickly sifted through the pages, looking for a blank piece. He stopped when he saw his name mentioned in the previous entry, and just stared at the words scrawled out onto the page. “ Oh, and there’s this guy I think about every now and then.
The vampire felt a lump in his throat as he read the small passage over and over again. After a few minutes, which actually seemed like an eternity to him, he picked up the pencil and quickly started writing, with a shaky hand, onto the piece of paper. KAORI! It’s me, Daniel. Listen. I don’t know what is happening. I just remember seeing this guy, and then the next thing I know, I was here. Locked up. They’ve been torturing me for days, not even telling me why I am here in the first place. I had been thinking of talking to you for a while now, but I didn’t even know if you would have responded, I didn’t even know it was you. Please tell me you are all right, and tell me what the Hell happened…
Ivan, with a few other guards, got out of one of the service elevators leading to the dungeon, armed to the teeth. Not only did they have the standard tranquilizer guns, but they carried with them tazers, actual guns with silver bullets, net guns, nerve gas, gas masks, and knock-out gas. By the description of how he got out, they were able to tell the kind of tranquilizers they would need, so they were all stocked up with tranquilizers powerful enough to knock anyone out as soon as it was injected. With a quick signal, Ivan had them spread out to take multiple directions.
Ivan, aside from Vlad, was the only one who knew the complex like the back of his hand. He not only oversaw the designing and construction, but being in the complex with often nothing to do left a lot of time to wander around, so of course even the difficult maze in the next level under the torture chambers was of no difficulty to him. Sooner or later, the footsteps of the escapee were able to be heard, and all four of the guards were on him immediately.
Luckily, they managed to stop him in a hallway intersection, and all four of them raised their tranquilizer guns. Ivan stepped forward, and wordlessly shot a round into him. The other guards followed in their leader’s footsteps and fired as well. The darts made contact, and within seconds, the once free roaming blood wolf was on the floor, out cold. Ivan stepped over him and scoffed. He looked up at the guards and smiled. “Take him to the torture room. Strap him down good. Make sure he continues to take dosage of the tranquilizers until we need him. Get that supernatural, Cassius, to help you. Then tell him to report to me immediately in my office. Also, if you run into Leon, tell him to meet me as well.” He watched as the guards pulled the knocked-out blood wolf, then turned and walked back to the service elevator. Supernaturals these days. Such disorderly creatures. What ever happened to manners. We keep them alive, and this is how they repay us? By killing guards and trying to escape? Pitiful.
