*sigh*

And what should I do with the roleplays im in? The ones im GM of? While I have awesome co-GMs, my word is final on serious issues. I usually can reply in the morning, but with some roleplays I prefer to take more time in writing a post to make it decent and to figure out how to reply. If I didn't have roleplaying or reading, I'd fell like...I'm being sucked into the ground. It's how I escape. So no, I cannot give it up even for a short time. That sounds totally dependent. but of course the last Time I did that, even if it was for five days the site went down and here we are.

I did not mean to make you feel like a jerk nor for the guilt trip. I was merely stating that a large portion of roleplayers (at least a those i roleplay with) have things they have to do. Even if it was a round about way of doing so and a bit of a whinge feast on my behalf.

Also timezones play a part. It's late here, I'm tired and after I finish catching up on roleplays, I'm going to bed.

Fair play. I RP to practice my writing skills, if I'm honest. I don't need to 'escape'.

But that's exactly the problem! It's Catch-22 - You RP go escape the problems of real life, but struggle to do so because of those exact problems. You need to RP to escape lives issues but those same issues stop you RPing

Also, sleep is very important. I used to stay up until midnight and beyond trying to make a post. The result? Someone who was grouchy, unfocussed and unable to work effectively. I mean in terms of both RP and IRL. Don't skimp on sleep, especially just to hammer a post out.

Also, take a break every so often, just to do nothing. Don't write or draw or anything else. Just relax for five minutes. Trust me, it helps. That's probably more effective with the assignments than anything else, but it might work for everything else.

It sounds hypocritical of me to say RP less when I was complaining about lack of haste, I know. Is there not something - anything - else that has the same effect? Something that isn't subject to the volatile nature of your (or others) timetable(s)? Read a book or play a game or smoke some weed?

I'm kidding about the weed. Don't actually do that.
