2 the way i read things, it wa les of a tournament but more of an ongoing thing. Like letssay Sol beats everybody. They fight amungst themselves and set up a social ladder of sorts with Sol on top. And whoever wantsto move up the ladder has to fight the person above them.

yes. Also thats kind of a side thing. Say this tournament has no effect on rankings but the winner still gets prize, other wise rank progresses like normal. That or its a way to force up to date rankings. Need to ask GM about that
