The morning air was crisp and dry, there wasn't a breath of wind to be felt on the skin of the students walking around the campus in no hurry to get to which ever class they were attending, Karah hurried along, she stopped momentarily to dig through her satchel making sure she had all her books. Lord knows that she didn't know that her classes were going to require so many books or she would have applied for more financial help before classes had started. She stood in the middle of the walkway, pushing her hair out of her face and trying to dig in her bag when someone bumped into her causing her to drop all the books she had pulled out of her bag.
"Watch where you are standing FREAK." Karah looked up at the words that stung her deep, she hadn't been called that in years. In front of her stood a beautiful blonde bimbo and her dumb jock boyfriend, who stood behind the girl laughing and encouraging her barrage of insults on Karah. "Don't you know that the 80's called and they want their outfit back? Jeez you look like you walked out of an ad for MTV or some shit." The blonde kicked her book about arithmetic across the sidewalk, which then resulted in a few more people kicking it on accident till it ended up in some bushes. Karah slowly bent down to retrieve her other books, trying to ignore the pair so that they would just go away and leave her alone. "Hello? I expect some sort of answer from slime like you when I speak to them..." Karah looked up at her and glared, "Go bother someone else, I don't have time to listen to your shit this morning." The blonde bimbo's boyfriend started hooting with laughter until his girlfriend looked at him and he stopped abruptly, then proceeded to kick a book across the walk way also, ending in the same result as her arithmetic book. Karah sighed and stood, "Look I didn't start any problem with you, I was standing here trying to figure out my books, and now your bothering me. I didn't speak to you, nor did I look at you. You accidently bumped into me and now your kicking my books around...I should be the one that is upset, not you." The blonde looked miffed, she was still stewing over her boyfriend. "Whatever bitch, if I ever cross paths with you again, I will claw your eyes out. And by the way, the tattoos are simply disgusting. Have a horrible day." The blonde turned and stalked off, her boyfriend running after her.
Karah sighed trying to control the unshed tears, that was pure hatred she had just experienced from someone she didn't even know. She could barely handle it from someone she knew, let alone someone who didn't know a single thing about her. She was really hoping that this school would be better than the city she had grown up in, but her hopes were getting shot down every day. She bent down to retrieve the two book that were still on the ground in front of her, then stood to go collect the two that had been kicked.
