Tyler - Motel - Scarlett

"Guess he thought ahead," Tyler said slowly, trying not to giggle at Scarlett's delicate touch. "I'll shut up, sorry." His eyes watched her as she moved back and forth, setting up a rhythm between washing the blade at scraping at his beard. He tried to keep quiet, but he found himself giggling once again, shaving cream falling to the floor from his movements. Tyler figured Scarlett would think he was drunk at this rate, considering he was normally not one to be giddy.

But, being here, in this moment, Tyler felt something powerful about it. It was one of those times in one's life that felt like it meant something compared to all the other chaotic moments. The stars were aligned, and Tyler felt oddly fulfilled. He'd tried so hard-- too hard-- to obtain this kind of feeling; Clumsily flailing his arms at everyone and everything in an attempt to achieve some amount of inner peace. Perhaps if only Tyler had not been made the leader of that group, if he and Lynn had gone off on their own with Katie to some far away place, then perhaps Tyler would have found this kind of moment sooner.

Strangely, Tyler was unsure he'd ever felt this kind of moment when living with Helen.

Scarlett asked him to lower his head, so he did so obediently. He felt a flush rise up from his, heating his face and turning it red. Maybe Scarlett would think it was red from the hot water, or maybe she really would think he was drunk. Was he drunk? "Scarlett," he said, reaching up and gently taking one of her hands. "Just leave it, okay?"

Silence. Tyler's head was still lowered, even with Scarlett's. He wasn't sure if this was a right or wrong thing to do, but Tyler figured he hadn't cared about that for a long time now. Gently, ever so slowly, he leaned in to kiss her.

---

Tina - Front Lawn - Abram/Sam/Turisa

That made Tina pause, her arms lowering slightly. "Looking for people?" A shudder ran up her spine at the thought. Had Tremblay captured more people? Either way, it meant this group didn't intend to leave. Just looking at man standing before her, Tina knew he wasn't one to speak lightly. It bugged her that he didn't care for her warnings, but what could she do? She'd given the warning-- how he proceeded from here was on him and his group.

"Tina," Caleb said, giving her a vexed look. "This is ridiculous." He stepped forward, moving to lower Tina's weapon to the ground. Looking toward Abram, Caleb offered an apologetic smile. "We're sorry about this. We're just on edge. We're not kidding when we say some bad people hang out around here." He paused, seeming to think something over. Tina saw it on his face-- Caleb was about to do something she wouldn't like. Though, she had to admit his Southern drawl made him sound rather sincere. "We'd like to help. You have no reason to trust us, I know, but we're tired of dealing with this. We can shelter you."

Tina glared daggers at the back of Caleb's head. "Caleb..." she said with a sigh. "Well, he's right. We're not here to hurt you. If we were, we wouldn't have bothered to talk."

---

Monica - Streets - Emma

She sharply breathed in, moving away from the car to hold Emma by the shoulder. "Oh, honey, it's okay. I have supplies, but we have to hurry." She moved forward now, guiding Emma around and back toward a collection of buildings. "I was waiting nearby, hoping I'd find an opportunity... but the explosions... the fire." In the darkness, the woman noticeably shuddered. "We'll rest for the night, and you can stay as long as you want. Give it a day, and then I'll try and find Danny, okay? I know he's coming."

---

Danny - Office Building/Baton Rouge - Alex/Zoe/Andrew/Rob

They'd entered Baton Rouge only the day before, hot on the heels of Enrique's pack, or so Danny hoped. They'd found a small office building to settle in to plan their next move. Scouring a city for a group that could move on at any moment would be no easy task, and Danny didn't think it would be possible to follow Enrique any further if they were to lose him now. They'd arrived late in the evening-- far too late to do any serious searching. Besides, a few of the team were exhausted and needed some time to rest.

That didn't stop Danny from staying up late into the evening, a candle lit beside him to illuminate a map of Baton Rouge. They'd picked it up at a gas station on the way into the city. Others joined him occasionally as they plotted a steady route throughout the city. If they wanted to do an effective search, they'd need to split up. Danny was just thankful they had the two vehicles.

"Everything good?" Elliot signed as he entered the room. Danny gave him a weary smile and rubbed at his eyes.

"Nope. Briefed the others on what we're doing tomorrow, but I'm not sure if it'll even fucking work out." Sighing, Danny looked back at the map for a moment, finally choosing to fold it up and put it away. He turned back to Elliot and said, "You know you should be sleeping, right?"

Elliot rolled his eyes. "Can't sleep. Actually kind of excited. We have to save that girl, you know?" He moved forward and sat beside Danny, resting one arm on the desk. He was about to sign more when Shannon ran into the room.

"I saw movement outside," she breathed, pointing to the next room. She looked alarmed, her eyes wide and a rifle gripped in her hands. Danny nodded and followed her into the next room while Elliot tagged along behind them. At the window, Shannon nodded to the building across the street. He couldn't see much in the darkness, but a pair of binoculars that Shannon handed him showed him clearly the room in question. From the corner of the window he saw the unmistakable sight of a gun barrel. It could have meant one person, or it could have meant an entire group, Danny couldn't be sure.

He rushed back down the hall and into the room where everyone was resting. "Everyone, get up!" he cried. He waited for everyone to start rising from their sleep before adding, "Might be nothing, but I need you all awake in case--"

A deep bang and rumble shook the building, causing Danny to almost fall to his feet. A second occurred soon after, sending Shannon beside him falling to her knees. Before Danny could even understand what was happening, he realized he smelled smoke. "Fuck! Everyone out! We have to evacuate the building!"

Scarlett - Motel - Tyler

Even with all of Tyler's moving and laughing, Scarlett had successfully managed to not get any shaving cream on her. She stood now, in front of him, her eyes locked onto his.

"Just leave it, okay?" Tyler's voice left Scarlett speechless, her eyes widening as she simply nodded. Her cheeks turned a faint pink as Tyler leaned in, and for the first time, she felt like a normal person in a normal situation. Without hesitation, Scarlett leaned in and placed her lips on his, dropping the straight razor and lifting her arms to wrap them around his neck and dig her fingers in his hair. Part of her mind was stuck on the fact that she now has shaving cream on her face and on her shirt but she didn't care. She let herself immerse herself in the moment.

————————————

Samantha - drive way - Abram/Tina/Turisa

Samantha had stayed behind Abram for the most part, but she kept Leah in front of her, wanting to protect her from both in front and behind. Her eyes darted from the strangers to Abram, worried that either one of them would do something irrational.

"Shelter?" Sam looked up at Abram, confused as to why some strangers would offer them shelter. "Abram... What about Jess?" For the first time since the encounter, the young woman spoke up and stepped out from behind both Leah and Abram, giving the woman named Tina and her companions a once over. "Can we trust them?" Her words were laced with fear and uncertainty as she spoke, yet her demeanor gave nothing away.

Liam-Motel-Katie/Scarlett/Tyler/George

Liam focused on the gun...

Practice....that's all. Practice...no wait, focus? they didn't have enough bullets to practice....so...focus. Though it was hard to focus when you had a gun in your hand. He couldn't help thinking that the gun was going explode and send his head flying into all the walls. Did he have to use a gun? He had a knife...he was quite good with a knife. That tended to happen when you use it everyday for the last year. To use a gun seemed to be a bit of a waste if Liam really thought about it.

George was helpful enough....lot's of adjusting Liam's aim with pinching though. Why always the pinching? they could never tell you to adjust by itself...always had to pinch. Constant pinching....How they would like to pinched.....Pinch back from the pinches...

"Is it okay if I take a break for a few minutes...Need to make sure I don't tire out and...umm...yeah" Liam left before George really had a option to say anything.

Where was he going again? Liam didn't really care. Somewhere to crawl into a ball and cry. Something along the lines of that. Yeah...that would be it. Somewhere.....to be left alone. Like the Bathroom....No one is ever in the Bathroom. Who goes in the Bathroom. People who go in the Bathroom lock the door.

When Liam almost clumsily entered the Bathroom and saw the scene. Admist the confusion, regret and general cringe that was sweeping his mind at the moment. the first real thought that Liam could think was "Why does no one lock the Bathroom"

The first feeling he felt was shock...this was bad, he had "intruded upon them" then a split second of anger as to why they couldn't do this anywhere else. A spot where he wasn't going to cry. Then just general confusion, He thought there were angry at each other like five seconds ago. Do adults always do this?

"Umm...."

He stared for a few more moments of silence...his jaw hanging open. Letting the stench that useally came from a bathroom in the end of the world. The smell of the word "Unclean". He should say something...wait....no, he should walk out. Or he could just become a ghost and float away. Anything would really be better then this.

But then something happened that hadn't happened in more then a year. A feeling that in most humans have been oppressed and locked in a cage with the key dropped in a drain. Beaten to death by sadness and anger. A feeling that Liam had honestly forgotten to properly feel for so long. Though he was certainly happy to have it back.

Laughter. Laughter exploded within him, like a bomb went off. Many bombs, one giant bomb of bombs that were made of laughter. Laughter that brought tears to his eyes and made him weak at the knees. He didn't really find this funny, but yet...here he was. Rolling around on the ground laughing at Scarlett and Tyler.

Hilarious.

--------------------

Rob- Baton Rouge- Scouts

They were resting for the night...Tomorrow they would venture out and do something great. Soon indeed. They were hot on the tail. Soon they would find them and take Emma back. Well...Rescue.

Danny entering in cause Rob to put his feet on the ground. Danny rushing in never meant a good thing. Especially since as soon as he started to speak a explosion rang in his ears. And the building jumped like a frightened cat. Causing Rob to wack his head off the wall. Though the wall did make sure that he certainly kept his balance for the next explosion.

"Shit, Come on everyone!"

---------------

Kerry-Baton Rouge-The Pack/Jamie

Kerry patted Jamie on the back, "Job well done" Kerry smiled as they finally started to round up the captured group. Which was most of them to be fair. Feisty little buggers, though a good wack on the head does great to ease that.

They didn't have a chance to be honest, from the begginning to the end, it was over as soon as the bombs went off. Numbers and surprise. That what was Magnus told him....something along that. He was never good at remembering these things. Too many words that didn't make sense. He more liked the shooting things till they obey you part.

"Right...Let's get back, and remember. Tremblay's got his eye on us!" Laughs were heard throughout as they started to pack the group into the vans.

-----------------------------

Magnus-Baton Rogue, Office Building-His soliders and the people he's gonna shit on

Magnus was good at multi-tasking. If you asked any of his men who was the best at Multi-Tasking...they would say Magnus. Given, if they said anything else Magnus would probably drug them and use him as his subjects but never the-less. Given the chance that Kerry didn't fuck this thing up for once...which he really couldn't as Magnus had taken great care to make sure that everything was going to go straight by the way it was supposed to be.

This, should be equally as easy. He was actually there....which helped. Given that he actually took less men with him. But he was there...and that counted for ten men if you thought about it. Plus, explosives help.

Explosives always help.

Scarlett - Motel - Tyler/Liam

Scarlett had enjoyed the moment while it lasted. Other than wrapping her arms around Tyler's neck, she made no other movements. Once they stopped, she still held on, not opening her eyes as she tried to wrap her mind about what exactly had just happened. If she let go of him, she would have probably collapsed onto the floor, so she merely let her arms around him and rested her forehead on his, trying to steady her breathing.

A million emotions ran through her as she gathered her thoughts; confusion, happiness, excitement, lust, and maybe a bit of regret? What exactly had she just done. It didn't matter. The sudden abrupt sound of laughter made Scarlett jump and quickly back away a few steps from Tyler.

"Liam" was all the young woman could mutter as she watched the boy laugh himself to tears, her mouth gaping open as she glanced at Tyler then back at Liam. Her cheeks turned a bright red before she reached up and wiped off the shaving cream from her face. She cleared her throat and grabbed her back from the floor along with the straight razor. "I.... I think you can finish on your own." Her voice was filled with embarrassment and she spoke fast as she left the straight razor by the bowl of water and shaving cream. She smiled apologetically at Tyler before practically running past him.

How could she have slipped up like that? She barely knew him! What about Roy?

Scarlett wasted no time in grabbing Liam by the arm and pulling him alongside her back to the room they were staying at. She feared there would probably be a worse future for the kid if she had left him in a room with Tyler. She hadn't noticed it, but the sky seemed to have darkened rather quickly. 'Hmm. Maybe a storm is coming?' She thought to herself before turning into the room and shutting the door behind her and the laughing boy. "Liam!" Scarlett practice ally hissed, still a bright Crimson. "Liam stop laughing. Listen to me!" She sat him down on the old bed and sat next to him, grabbing him by both of the arms, "Liam.... You can not tell anyone what you just saw. Especially Katie. Please. This needs to stay between us. Are you listening to me?" She moved around trying to hold eye contact with the boy, "Please. I'm begging you." Her eyes were wide as she pleaded with him, wanting nothing more than to see the boy either nod or say yes verbally. Truth be told she just wanted to laugh from how nervous she was but her fear that Liam might go off and tell Katie was greater than anything.

Alex Clark - Baton Rogue, office building - The Scouts

The sleep he had been longing for the past few days, a decent period of rest, was cut short by Danny running in screaming blood and murder when suddenly an explosion teared through the building. Alex instinctively grabbed the rifle lying besides him and crouched out of his sleeping position. Somewhere he found it horrifying that he was this alert and prepared for danger. Why had it become such a necessary skill? As smoke and dust filled the room from the explosion downstairs, Alex quickly reasoned that they were being attacked. No time for thinking about uninmportant stuff. He scurried over towards a shattered window and saw a relatively small group of heavily armed men rush inside the building. "Bloody hell!" He cursed as one saw them and send him scrawling on his hindside as bullets struck around the window. "There's a group of armed men inside!" He yelled as he got up again. Looking at the surprised and terrified Scouts with their little armament present here, he knew the odds definitely were not in their favour. Already hearing quick footsteps rush up the stairs, their time was limited at best.

Floyd Conlon - Baton Rogue - Tremblay/Jon

As the covering blindfold was removed from his filthy face, Floyd squinted his eyes at the sight of the illuminating sun. The rays burned his pupils, providing him with a desired discomfort. His eyes flickered open and closed as his vision adjusted to the lighting of his surroundings. He couldn't rub his face because his hands were still shackled together with numerous zip tie. Hair falling down over his face like a rough rider. He looked nearly like a homeless man - which in reality they all were - but he had never been labeled one in the real world.

So as this mysterious Tremblay spoke, Floyd lifted his chin and looked towards the standing form. The sun was right behind him, so his facial features were covered by a beam of white glare, only the outline of his body was visible. What wasn't coated was everything he was spilling from his mouth. Floyd believed it all to be bullshit, not lies, but bullshit. Their entire situation didn't seem to change, because they were slaves with Robert, and they're slaves now with Tremblay. Floyd despised being beaten by such animals, lowered to the rank of property. He hated the fact that he couldn't do anything about it. This was their reality now, there was no time to grieve, no time to reminiscent on past events. Floyd didn't even allow himself to recall what happened to Hank and the others, he pushed it aside and deep down into a the hateful void in his mind. It was so easy to hate and to forget.

With burning eyes and a ring shinning blue around his pupils, Floyd let his body heat increase, fighting the urge to attack the ravages before him. He was using all of needed strength to hold himself back, both mentally and physically. But aside from his rage, Floyd did indeed feel. Like everyone, he was human, but tempted to push aside all those unpleasant memories so he wouldn't reveal that weakness to anyone. He becomes loud in order to hide those true emotions, an near-perfect barrier around his sentimental side.

Floyd turned to his left to see Imogen and Aidan alongside him, both still chained up as well. He frowned, not because he preferred other individuals beside him, but because he was tired of losing people. Everyone he has come across has either died, vanished, or will soon be killed by an outside force. Jess was the first to go. Abram followed. Where they dead? Floyd was still unsure what to believe. He was skeptical, wanting to assume that Abram had got her out, but couldn't bring himself to even think of them. He would rather just forget than believe they were dead. So as the man before him continued to lay down the foundation of this community they'd be entering, Floyd drifted his eyes towards the ground, taking it all in.

He suddenly jumped when a guard came out of nowhere and started to unzip his hands. Floyd twisted his neck to the right in attempt to get a good look at the man, but couldn't see him. He felt uneasy having his captors so close to him, grunting as he was forced to move. Then his eyes caught a man with a familiar voice, the same man who loaded them to the truck in the first place. He had him so close that he could tear his throat off with his mere teeth, but that would only get everyone on his side killed. This was their reality now and they were going have to adapt to it to survive, or fight it and hope they can beat it.

Liam - Motel - Scarlett\Tyler

Liam was still laughing as Scarlett took his arm and basically dragged him along to their room. He was still laughing when she sat him down, though he did stop when she asked him to. Ending it in a short giggle.

He seemed to swing side to side giddily. When Scarlett finished he seemed to pause before giggling a bit more. "Oh...." Liam seemed in thought for a moment. "Yeah...of course....I wasn't going to....." Liam looked up at Scarlett and stared thoughtless.

"I won't....do......that...." Liam eyes drifted to the side before smiling again.

"So are you and he?....you seemed awfully angry at each other a short while ago"

Jessalyn / Ben - Plaza - Could it be...?

Jess followed the girl, Becca she had said her name was. She kept looking around as if she expected to be attacked at any moment, holding Ben close. At the mention of Kerry's name she flinced. "The men who were with him tried to take my baby from me," she said. "I haven't killed anyone before, but I will if anyone else tries to take Ben from me," she said firmly.
She could see the questions in the girl's eyes but was glad she refrained from asking them, except the one about Jess' group. "I was with a man named Abram and a couple of women : Turisa, Leah and Sam. Before that I was with a man named Floyd," she looked at the girl closely, hopefully. "Have any of them come here?"

Before the girl could answer a few men walked by close enough the girls could hear their conversation.
"Any of the new people worth anything?"
"Women are always worth something. The boy doesn't look like much but the guy looks strong and tough enough. But he also looks like he's going to be a bastard."
"The way the world is now you have to be," one the men pointed out. "Besides with the way things have been going with Magnus we're going to need a few bastards on our side of things."

Jess looked at Becca with questioning eyes. New people? And one looked strong and tough? Could it be Abram and the others? Had they been captured too?
"Can I see them?" she asked. "They might be my group."
Without seeing if Becca said yes or no Jess hurried off towards the warehouse where she had been brought when she had first arrived. She noticed a man following close behind her but Tremblay had promised her that she wouldn't be harmed here, so she'd see if that was true. He was probably assigned to be her warden in a sense, making sure she didn't try to run off or do anything stupid.

She reached the warehouse but stood off a ways, watching the door intently. She didn't know if Becca had followed her and right now she didn't care. Jess was trying not to get her hopes us, having been disappointed so many times, but maybe, just maybe this once things would go her way. Fate had not been that kind so far. Perhaps Jess was due for something good to happen.

The door opened. She held her breath.
Tremblay came out first followed by a few men, then a woman followed by a teenage boy. Then...

Her breath caught.
No....
It couldn't... be...
But it was. It was him.

Tears flooded her eyes. She opened her mouth but nothing came out. "Fl..." she stammered breathlessly, almost afraid to move in case this was a dream. After all this time... all the weeks and months of searching...
"Floyd..." she whispered.
Suddenly her heart burst in her chest. Pure joy erupted from inside of her, bubbling over in the tears that flooded down her cheeks. Ben let out a squeal just as she screamed.

"FLOYD!"

Scarlett - Motel - Liam/Katie

Scarlett looked at the boy, worry etching her every feature. When the young boy finally stopped and seemed to understand, Scarlett relaxed a little and smiled at him. His question did take her off guard though, not really expecting him to need or want any explanation of what he just had witnessed. "Oh... uh... No... No we're not. Um... Yeah no." Scarlett was at a loss for her and she ended up laughing at the whole mess. "Just don't tell. Or else I'll pour cold water over you while you're asleep." Scarlett grinned at the boy and ruffled his hair as she stood up. "Come on. I got some stuff for you and Katie." Gesturing for him to follow her, the young woman made her way out of the room and into the hallway.

After a few knocks on the door, Scarlett opened it and saw that Katie was on the floor playing with her kitten while George was on the bed looking outside, with Tyler no where in sight. "What a babysitter.." Scarlett muttered as she entered the room. "Hey Katie bug. I've got a couple of things here." Scarlett walked over and stopped a couple of feet away from Katie, sitting down on the floor in her criss-cross applesauce style that she always told her own gymnastic students to sit in. "Look." Scarlett opened her backpack and took out a couple of shirts. "I thought you guys would like something clean to wear. I've got long sleeved and normal sleeved." She sat the shirts down, two of Katie's size and two in roughly Liam's size. "I also got this for you... Think fast!" Scarlett tossed the new toothbrush to Liam and then went on to take out a princess toothbrush out for Katie. "And this one for you.... I didn't really know what to take or what to get. Oh and this!" Scarlett was exited to show Katie what she had gotten. Maybe it was just a girl thing? "So you can brush your hair and put it up or braid it. Something a girl always needs." She placed the box of hair ties and pink comb on Katie's shirts, feeling a bit nervous of how the little might feel or react. "I thought we might have a little girl to girl moment and maybe I could braid your hair? I always braid Samantha's hair. She usually puts mine in spikes." She sat looking at the kids expectantly. All Scarlett wanted was their approval, that way she could offer them the feeling of being safe and comfortable. It was the least she could do.

Tina - Streets - Abram/Turisa/Samantha

A tense moment passed between the two groups. It was silent, everyone waiting on Abram to make a call. However, before he could say anything, Jace spoke up, asking, "Have I met you before?" He was looking at Samantha, squinting at her features. Tina gave him an annoyed look before giving the girl a closer look herself. She did look a little familiar, in fact--

"Are you Sam?" Caleb asked, confirming Tina's thoughts. The girl looked enough like Scarlett to be related to her, and that Scarlett had been looking for possibly meant that this was the one. "And the girl you're all looking for... is her name Scarlett?" Caleb added, connecting the dots further.
