Name: Cora Rishaw


Age: 18

Element: Lively Ice
Cora can convert water in the air to ice with such precision, it's possible for her to animate the ice. Example: Emerging from a burst of ice, the Ice dragon looks fluid and lively as it swims through the air, snapping its jaws and blowing shards of ice. But its intelligence is artificial as Cora controls it like a puppet on strings. But it definitely looks more formidable. She usually sticks to only a few animations; it's easier to think creative when there's less going on. Using her power too much results in a ripe migraine. 

Appearance: Cora is way too skinny, you can count her ribs. Scavenging for food when there is none leads to malnourishment. Her skin has a constantly clammy, cold feel to it. She's pale, almost sickly so. Other than the dark circles under her eyes, her skin is smooth and unmarred. Her hair is a chocolate-brown, messy and layered short; it barely reaches the bottom of her neck. She parts it from the side, letting her feathered bangs sweep across her eyelashes. She typically wears a thick, black hoodie and mask scarf around her neck. Ripped jeans cover her legs, and she has tattered shoes on her feet. 

Personality: She's insecure, and will do backflips (literally) for warmth and comfort. Those who have done a kindness to her she never forgets. She seeks happiness in other people, and in what little nature there is left. Though occasionally she is ruled by high emotion, and easily upsets herself if 'it's not fair.' People have called her a 'survivor' of sorts, she is well at adapting to her situation. Smart with her tongue, Cora is a decisive girl that can talk her way out of plenty of things. 

History: Off and on throughout her childhood Cora had instances she couldn't explain. Like waking up to her window covered in frost on a summer day. Or breathing mist in a warm room. The cold never bothered her, so it struck her weird when people told her how cold she felt. But she brushed it off as nothing.

Cora and her boyfriend attended Kung Fu for three years before the dojo shut down due to bankruptcy. Occasionally they took advantage of their complex roof and sparred each other, just to keep sharp. But they practiced less and less when they started skipping dinner.

Ever since Cora lost her job being a house cleaner for one of the rich snobs of the city, she had to turn to scavenging and stealing to live. There were no other jobs to be found, and her boyfriend, Jesse, couldn't support them both with his miner's paycheck. For almost two years she's gone out every day, but old food from before is hardly good anymore, food stamps are hard to swipe, greeneries are guarded like the holy grail. Plus, other scavengers are merciless.

One evening she actually did manage to break into a greenery and sneek away with as many plants as she could carry before security even knew. Jesse came home that evening to their small flat spruced up with so much green, he was speechless. "...Cora, you know this is illegal." 

"I did it for love." She smiled, offering him a carrot. "We're not going hungry tonight."

Presently, only a few plants remain in their secret garden flat. Food and water run thin once more.

Feel for element: Cora considers herself the closest thing to an ice cube--cold, solid, icy. But in the right arms she loves that feeling of warmth, melting her slowly. It's that philosophy that nothing's permanent, it's a destructive beauty that disappears when you glance away.   

Enchanted item: 
--Twin daggers that act like elemental conduits. The inscribed blades have a coat of frost patterned across the metal. 

Guardian: Irys, ice spirit



Looks very similar to the picture above. Irys is made of crystalline ice that has a faint glow, she can change her size and bioluminescence easily, sometimes pulsating light to communicate. She hovers effortlessly with subtle movement similar to a jellyfish. She speaks telepathically only to Cora. And although Irys has no combat skills, her sixth sense allows her to feel the location and emotions of living beings in a 20ish foot radius.

Here is my finished cs. I went with a girl since they seem to be the minority. Her appearance is mainly based off of Lupita Nyong’o and Samira Washington. I hope you don’t mind her history. I know there are no forests, but I figured cities still have parks/lots/fields.

Appearance:

Personality: Will is very laidback and is usually very casual but this does mean he may seem like he doesn't care but this is far from the truth and can be more than serious qnd even overprotective when needs be. When fighting, he seems cool and collected but thks is merely the calm before the storm as he hits hard and fast

History: Will hasn't had a very interesting life outside of his fightning days. Will was a boxer and very good at it too. Spectators said he moved like water and flowed in and out of rhythms but his punches hit like a hurricane.

Feel for element: Will flows with his element and fits him very well.

Enchanted items: A whistle which he uses to control his Guardian. 

Poseidon's Wrath
A spear which edge can split into three parts, the tip can come of, turning it into a dagger. This leaves the second part as a staff which can then split further into two seperate batons.

Kraken
A whip made out of water except for the handle. This can be used for movement and attack.

Guardian: A Water elemental wolf called Tsunami which is quick and can get through small narrow passages as he can turn into water and back into a wolf again.

Name: Phil Ripley

Appearance: 


Personaliy: Serious, Apprehensive yet Calm and Sociable around people he trusts.

History: Phil's Parents where miners within the rock hills when they was murdered, "Too-Much up-keep" and "A drain on our resources" a couple of the guards said with certainty. Phil escaped the mines at the age of 16. he didn't want freedom though, he wanted revenge. he walked around for around a year, fighting to survive and find a way to mould his revenge. At the age of 18 somewhere in Atlanta, He awoke with a shock, his hands glowed a gentle white that made the people around him, not run in fear, but just stare with a calm gaze. This happened, at least, until his hand erupted with a blinding light which caused a small dragon, the size of someone's head to appear. Phil was... calm as the dragon spoke " I am Toran, The dragon of knowledge and light" He spoke with a wise tone "You must leave, they are probably looking for us as I speak, Just know I am here to help and will always be with you". Phil escaped Atlanta with his haste and decided he would make his way towards Nature's Haven.

Feel for element: Phil can altar light around him which allows him to conjure weapons or use light to distract, heal and (Temporarily) blind people and animals. The problem is, Phil needs Light to do anything, but only a little.

Enchanted items:
A glove that conjures a ball of pure light, It has infinite charges but it can only summon one charge per day.

Name: Gilfred Mason

Age: 20

Element: Metal

Appearance: Gilfred stands at around 6’2’’, and of a normal build. His medium length, dark brown hair hair is usually combed to keep it out of his face, though that seems to not have worked on a few rouge strands that fall back in front of his face. His eyes are a deep emerald, framed with a look of alertness, but with a twinge of tiredness. His face and nose are a bit angular, but not overly so, this results in his face appearing harder than it otherwise would.

his clothing style (without the gas mask)

Personality: A smile can almost always be found on Gilfred, even if the world is coming down around his ears. He also tends to keep his head very well, making decisions more off of chess like moves than impulse, but made with the fervor and conviction of a crusader. He will also see a task out to the end, not matter the cost to himself, and takes oaths and promises very seriously.

History: Gilfred's family was not much to look at, they weren't poor, but nor were they rich, so in essence they were what passes for middle class these days. It was here that Gilfred grew up, and though his family was not special, Gilfred was not content in the background and as such he often found himself on the opposing side of the law, though his intentions were always to help someone. When his family discovered his... abilities they sent him away as much to protect themselves as him. He was to be sent to a relative's in another city, but decided against it at the last moment, a feeling of wanderlust stopping him from continuing.

Feel for element: He wields it as one would wield a sword properly, as an extension of one’s self instead of a foreign tool.

Enchanted items:
Gauntlets Of Vulcan:

    Each of these Gauntlets are a deep brass color and look to be made of highly stylized plate mail. On the center of the forearm guard of each is a silver shard which seems to be the center of the stylization.

  • Shatter: Worn of the right hand Shatter is the most offence oriented of the two, as it is able to be fragmented into razor sharp shards and reconstituted with little power drain .

  • Unity: Worn of the left hand, Unity is the opposite of Shatter, as it is able to fuse metal together at a molecular level, in essence it is able to cold forge pieces of metal. Some items, such as the Aegis, gain interesting properties when unity affects them.


Clarent:
"The Sword of Peace" and "The King's Betrayer", Clarent is a strong, old blade that shows no signs of age or weakness anywhere. The blade of the broadsword itself has a sheen like freshly polished steel, and is set in a hilt and cross guard made of a darker metal and strong wood.

Immunity: the Aegis of the Behemoth: Gilfred's immunity takes the form of heavy plate armor that forms wherever he is attacked (eg. if a bullet would hit his chest it is deflected off the breastplate that formed, a knife aimed at his legs would bounce off the grieves, and so on). Under certain situations the entire suit can materialize. Unity can be used to fuse the Aegis into a solid suit, with a bit of concentration and power drain, though it still remains flexible, as if the chain link joints were still separate peaces

Name: Alex "Yahtzee" Stone

Appearance:


Personality: Alex is almost always bubbling with enthusiasm in every situation even in battle. On the few occasions that he does lose his upbeat personality he instead becomes bored and hyperactive. He is distressed by criticism and is constantly seeking other people's approval all the while trying to convince himself that he can handle anything.

History: At the age of thriteen Alex left home to join up with a traveling circus. His home life hadn't been bad but it had been boring and he found it difficult to cope with mundane everyday life. At the circus he adopted the name "Yahtzee" (which he uses to this day) and trained under one of the Fire Tamers there and excelled immensely and soon the circus began to use his fire show as a central attraction. Several months before present day a horrible accident occurred and he became completely doused in oil and fire. Despite this however he felt no pain and instead felt perfectly in control. The people loved it and word got out quickly and the old Fire Tamer took him aside and warned of the dangers he would be facing soon. From then on Alex left making his living with his showmanship and earning just enough to survive as he traveled alone from place to place. Once Alex was trying to push his abilities to create shapes and his flames condensed into a small dragon the he named Salamnder.

Feel for the element: Alex treats his ability like an art and is constantly using fire to create small shapes for entertainment however when it comes to actual battle he surrounds himself with his element and uses it to boost his own physical attacks.

Name: Sigismund the Mole

Element: Earth
Appearance: Looks like a badass (I typed "badass dude" in google but nothing really fitting came up). He is average height, black longish hair, wears brown clothes and gloves as well. Leave the rest to imagination O-o
Personality: "Fuck off" would petty much be the first thing he'd say to you. He doesn't get attached easily, but when he does he won't give up on his friend. He has a distrust towards all people, specially the guards. He only trusts his family and as the eldest son, sustains them all.

History: Sig grew up with his best friend. They were just poor village boys playing in junk heaps. He would've been happy like this if one day, his friend wouldn't have been beaten to death by a gang of robbers who wanted his few coins. Sig arrived too late to help his friend. He killed the robbers, he doesn't exactly remember how, as blinded and mad he was because of sorrow and rage,, he only remembers that he did something supernatural. From that day he would go to the mines in the mornings and come back when it was already dark. No one knew where he'd go each day, so they starting to call him "the Mole". Its needless to say he hated this name. The truth is that Sig went to the mines to find answers, he slowly came to realise he has powers, and he learned to control them. Down in the mines he met a new friend, Spike, the giant turtle. Soon after, he received a vision. He said goodbye to his family a few days later and set off.

Feel for his element: Earth is his Element (obviously), metaphorically. He feels safe underground and the mines have been a peaceful place where he could be alone, surrounded with the calm and resilient earth.

Pet: His pet is just a giant turtle, with a shell that's flatter and wider than a Galapagos turtle's but not as much as a pond turtle's. It has a short neck which it can retract, just like his legs, into his shell. It can stand upright on its hinds legs but prefers to be on all fours. The turtle's body, except for the shell, is covered with a very tough hide.
