Full Name: Jodi Wallace Winters

Gender: Female

Age: 31

Branch of Service: The FSA Navy

Rank: Commander

Military Occupational Specialty: Chief Medical Officer

Personality: Jodi is... well, let's just say that she is a bit unstable. Jodi is basically a ticking time bomb. One moment she can be cold and serious and in a matter of minutes she can become a explosion of lighthearted joking. She has never been one for subtilties and always starts out conversations with her patients by stating the obvious. Jodi is always comfortable in social situations but isn't so comfortable when the conversations stops for too long. It is hard for people not to like Jodi's bubbly and vibrant personality.

Biography: Jodi wasn't born like a normal child, she was born dead. It was by a turn of fate that the doctors managed to revive Jodi. Ever since Jodi was told the story of her birth at the age of ten, she has wanted to be a doctor. Yet, Jodi rarely had the best grades in school and medical colleges were extremely strict on who they accepted so she couldn't get in to college or afford to pay for it even if she did get in. Instead, Jodi turned her eyes towards serving with the FSA Navy. Jodi entered training as a Medical officer when she was twenty years old and entered full service at twenty one years of age as an esign. Jodi has worked as hard as possible since then to become the Chief Medical Officer of the Vigilance.

Full Name: Henry "Wretcher" Fletcher
Gender: Male
Age: 27
Branch of Service: FSA "Landers"
Rank: Chief Warrant Officer 3
Military Occupational Specialty: Combat Engineer specializing in ship systems and armed drones.
Callsign: Hat Trick
Appearance:

Personality: Henry has a problem with authority. He often feels that many officers don't deserve to command him. He especially has a problem with Naval Officers, quoting, "Landers do the dying, Navy just does the flying." Although Henry has no formal education, he is very intelligent, and takes every opportunity to show up the superior officers, which explains why he hasn't been promoted in a while. He enjoys working with his hands, and will often spend time tweaking his drones. He's a capable leader, but tends to step on too many toes.

Biography: Henry had a fairly normal childhood, did well in school, had a few friends, nothing out of the ordinary except for his hacking and mechanical ability. However, instead of going to get an education as his family wanted him to do, he went straight into the military at age 18. Right away they had him pegged for a tech specialist. During his first official boarding simulation he made the navy re-think their security protocol for secondary systems, like gravity controls. Henry was largely responsible for the single fastest time of taking over a ship in simulation, as within a minute he was able to reverse the orientation of gravity, incapacitating most of the crew almost instantly. He earned his first promotion to warrant officer shortly thereafter. However, his attitude towards superior officers (often believing them to be inferior men or women) has really put a stopper on his climb through the ranks. During his years of service he earned the nickname "wretcher" from his tendency to cause many of the landers to vomit from the repeated change in gravitational orientation on ships he boards.

Of course.

@Dawnstar Looks good. Though that hair is definitely not within Navy regulations. Please see ordnance 347-33C for proper hair grooming procedure and report to a barber immediately before you board the Vigilance. We take uniformity very seriously here at the Federation System Alliance Navy

@Nerendier Looks good so far. Please finish it when you have the chance.

I'll add you both to the front page in a bit.

Full Name: Miranda Chevalier
Callsign: Mirage

Gender: Female

Age: 29 Years

Branch of Service: FSA Navy

Rank: (O-7) Rear Admiral Lower Half [RDML] - One Star Admiral

Military Occupational Specialty: Captain of the Chevalier-class Battlecruiser "Vigilance"

Appearance:

Personality:
Miranda is intelligent, young and confident. A habitual smoker and off-the-books type officer, she is not afraid to break military protocol when getting the job done. She has large shoes to fill, being the daughter of one of the most renowned military officers in Federation history. She has a deep understanding of advanced naval tactics, having written two award winning manuals "The Intricacies of Naval Command" & "Three-Dimensional Chess" before she had graduated from Earth's prestigious Sigma Federation Naval Academy. Many consider Miranda a prodigy, others a pretty face with no experience and a famous father. Either way, she cares about her crew and hopes to bring her knowledge to further her father's legacy.

Biography:
Miranda was born a single child to James A. Chevalier, the former Grand Admiral of the Federation System Alliance Navy before his legendary death at the Battle above Lazarus ten years before the completion of the Vigilance. In his respective honor, the six battlecruisers sent to space were named the Chevalier-class Battlecruisers and the Vigilance was named after Chevalier's flagship "The Vigilant" which was overwhelmed and destroyed by rebel forces in the decisive battle. At the age of 17, Miranda was enlisted in the Federation Naval Reserves and sent to the Sigma Federation Naval Academy, where she graduated from the four year institution in just two years after scoring a perfect score on the Naval Officer's Exam, a feat unheard of among the service.

At the age of 19, she was already a Lieutenant and a master of naval strategy, writing several books and developing many theories on advanced strategies. Despite her overwhelming lack of combat and command experience, her advice was commonly sought after by her senior officers, and before long she found herself serving as a personal aide de camp to the current Grand Admiral of the Fleet, Markus Aurelius, where she displayed an overwhelming affinity for command.

When the Chevalier-class Battlecruisers were laid down and the sixth ship was christened as "The Vigilance," The Federation Naval Brass had no capable members of the admiralty to command it, thus a vote was declared for a suitable commander. By a narrow margin, Lieutenant Commander Miranda Chevalier was selected to serve as the captain and commanding officer of the Vigilance. To bring her up to the command level required of her station, she was promoted a full three grades to Rear-Admiral, a position where many question if she is capable of handling.

Full Name: Classified
Callsign: Akula

Gender: Unknown, Presumed Male

Age: Unknown

Branch of Service: FSA Navy

Rank: (O-2) Lieutenant Junior Grade [LTJG]

Military Occupational Specialty: Fighter Pilot - Red Squadron Leader

Appearance:

Personality:
Akula is cold, calculating and cunning. He is an ace pilot that cares not for the safety of others. He is obsessed with the concept of victory, and yearns for an opponent that can test his mettle. An enigma, he does not socialize or even acknowledge the existence of fellow personnel, only able to acknowledge the concept of orders and his enemy. Casualties for Akula, are just a statistic.

Biography:
Much of Akula's life is shrouded in mystery, his service record and even his medical history are classified to everyone but the highest of the command staff. As a result, many rumors have spread across Akula's service history, including his gender, age and even his existence has been often scrutinized, with many service members considering Akula's exploits "impossible by any mortal pilot"

Akula is the poster child for the famous Aurelian Industries, the designer and sole manufacturer of the HI-10 Whirlwind. He was the first pilot to fly and test the new fighter, and the exosuit that he wears is a prototype flight interface system that is currently unavailable for Whirlwind pilots. His helmet is commonly found plastered on Aurelian Industries advertisements, and when he is not flying for the Federation, he is commonly reported testing new designs for the company. This has been the cause of many ill-rumors, many of which claim that his true loyalties lie towards money and glory rather than the good of the Federation Navy.

Akula's service history is as mysterious as Akula himself. The only factual history dates only several months ago. Former Commander Akula was one of the most decorated ace-pilots currently flying for the Federation. However, a freak accident where one of Akula's wing mates was suddenly sent spiraling into a pirate frigate during an ill-fated ambush sent Akula to the Court of Military Justice, which tried to prosecute Akula on the claim of murder, stating that he "...deliberately and intentionally engaged his own wingman, sending Lieutenant Seraph straight into the bridge of an enemy frigate." While he was accredited yet another astounding victory, the murder of one of his squadron was considered questionable.

Akula was found innocent to the account of murder, though many in the military who had analyzed the evidence found his acquittal incredibly suspicious. Because of his nonchalant attitude to the ordeal, and Akula's outright refusal to attend his fallen comrade's military funeral, the Federation Brass found Akula unsuited for the rank of Commander, demoting him a full, three grades to "Ensure the safety of military personnel under their respective command staff."

To many's surprise, the Demon of the Round Table has emerged once more, to command half of the 53rd Fighter Wing as "Red Squadron"

I guess I've finished editing my CS.
Additionally I've noticed that my character is the only one that isn't a commissioned officer.

Here's a question: Would we address Rear Admiral Chevalier as 'Captain' or 'Admiral'? I didn't serve in the US Navy but I know that ship Captains don't necessarily hold the rank of Captain.

"Lead me, follow me, or get the hell out of my way!"

"Anyone who says the pen is mightier than the sword needs to get a good look at fully automatic weaponry."

Full Name: Lieutenant Colonel John Harrison

Gender: Male (cis scum accusations abound)

Age: 41

Branch of Service: FSA Landers

Rank: Lieutenant Colonel

Military Occupational Specialty: Field officer, tactical force commander

Personality: Harrison is a cigar smoking, gun laundering, man with a lifetime of experience with weaponry and the military. Harrison is a well trained man with an arrogant, yet disciplined attitude, with the constant look of a iron willed man on his face. Wry and taciturn, he's known to be stubborn in his practices, and is considered a mental fortress when it comes to a fight. He will obey orders from his superiors, and usually get what's wanted done, but has a certain dislike for being commanded by other's, which isn't visible. He's also a natural born fighter, who know's exactly what to say to his men, and when, and usually treats his men harshly, but is well known, wherever he's known, for being very fair. He's also quite patient with most things, although he puts up the farce of being uninterested or impatient in technicalities, details, and slowness on the part of his men.

Biography: John Harrison is one of commanders of the legion of Lander's that's stationed on the Vigilance, and a highly decorated marine officer, having served in multiple combat situations, both official and technically non-official. He was born into a military family, his parents both having been doctors in the Navy, serving in the out rims of the Empire, and since his mother wasn't able to get maternity leave, since they were quite far away from any kind of properly colonized planet, he was born on the ship, which isn't a first but it was a rare of an incident. Only a few months later, the ship returned to a proper colonized dock, allowing John to finally have his first glimpses of a planet, and somewhat tellingly enough, his first steps on that planet were in boots.

After his birth, his parents retired, having served enough time in their lives to finally settle down and perhaps give a better life to their son, one in which he wouldn't have to join the military in desperation and would be able to achieve fame in science, business, or maybe even politics. Unfortunately for their desires, Harrison was a restless kid, entirely uninterested in academics. When others would dream of discovering new planets and phenomena in science, John dreamed of fighting in the name of his nation, and his home. It didn't help with Call of Duty releasing its games every single year, which sort of distorted his view of the military, but fact was fact, and John got himself involved in the military. He joined the National Cadet Core at the minimum required age, and quickly found that while it wasn't all fun and games, the people he met, and the stories they had to tell were something that inspired him, and gave him the ability to finally set his mind to it.

Coming of age at seventeen, he joined the Marines, to the crossness of his parents, and quickly found that it was exactly as the veterans had told him it would be. Going through boot camp, he was quickly suggested for the Officer Candidates School because of his recognized leadership qualities, and because of a certain incident during a live firing exercise. Of course, this suggestion would the reason behind his commissioning as an officer in the future, but it would a while before that occurred.

His first deployment was against insurgents in the rim of the nation, where his first combat experiences was. He would later describe the feeling of punching through the enemy ship's hull for the breaching as "exhilarating", and then storming through the ship with the intensity of Stalingrad was a bit of a dampener, but he and his squad moved through the opposition like a nuke into a wooden shack.

He came out of his first battle scarred, but also with the determination to fight for the Federation, and a patriotic pride unrivaled. He continuously volunteered for field deployments, and slowly, but surely, he made his way up the ranks, before being commissioned as an officer for superior characteristics of leadership. While many of his deployments were peaceful, he started to realize he was being deployed in different locations quite quickly, and all of them being combat zones of some sort, to which he came to the slightly narcissistic conclusion that perhaps one of his superiors had noticed him and his record, and decided to put him on a more combat oriented deployment schedule.

Over the years, he's become less enthusiastic, quite a bit less, but his pride and determination haven't wavered one bit. His combat service record include multiple planetside experiences, and even more ship-based combat.

Medals (US names, assume Federation equivalents):
Outstanding Volunteer Ribbon
Six Purple Heart's
Two Silver Star's
Navy Marine Distinguished Service Military Medal
Multiple Campaign Ribbons and Medals
Medal of Honor Nomination

I would like some more info on the propulsion systems if you don't mind. Since "Nuclear Thruster" is a fairly vague term. Also I'm not really sure how the IWDS is supposed to work either. I need to have some kind of basic understanding of how it works if I'm going to be the Chief Engineer I think. I could come up with something for both of those systems if you don't have any ideas.

Hey guys, just a quick question before I finish my app. What occupational specialty would a Corporal have in the Landers? At the moment my character's a field officer and fire team leader. Would those positions be right?

Well, Field Officer wouldn't be right at all. Because a Corporal isn't a commissioned officer. As far as I recall, a Corporal isn't even an NCO

True, true. I do know that Corporals lead fire teams though. So would the term foot soldier be more correct? I'm sorry, as I'm not very familiar with military terms and ranks.
