Tressa Corcoran
Age:
22
Nationality:
Celtic - Iceni
Rank within nation:
Roman Slave
Appearance:
Tressa has fiery red hair inherited from her parents and naturally pale skin, she stands out somewhat in the Roman world and as such this is why she has been selected for her particular role. She is quite thin, both naturally but also because of her lifestyle as a slave. She is fed appropriately but almost never enough to fill her up completely, as such she remains thin and lithe. Her clothing is simple and basic, being provided by her owner. She is considered more valuable than most slaves, being able to read and write as well as possessing her βwomanly attributesβ that Roman men seem to be most interested in. She also occasionally carries the signs of a swift backhand to the face, some of the Romanβs around her obviously enjoying the power they are able to wield upon her.
Background:
Tressa was only a young girl of ten when her village was slaughtered, the Roman legionaries slaughtering her entire family after they took up arms in a futile attempt to defend their land after Boudicaβs failed rebellion. She was captured as a slave, sold into slavery and trafficked back to Rome through a series of venders and slave dealers. Her brother was sent to a Ludi (Roman gladiator school), she has not seen him since. She was sold to a wealthy Roman Senator, a filthy old man who had his own reasons for wanting a girl so young. He died two years later, her ownership passing to his son. Initially his son had no interest in her and as such ignored her and left her to be raised by the other slave woman, who managed to teach her Latin and βtameβ her more savage side into submission. She was content to live as a serving girl hiding in the shadows, but unfortunately as she grew to be a beautiful young woman, her appearance became her curse. On her sixteenth birthday her master once more noticed her, and took a far greater interest in her than she had wanted. She has since continued her service, both within his house and his bed. Last month her owner married a wealthy Roman woman, one who unfortunately has noticed her new husbands infatuation with his barbarian slave girl, as such Tressaβs life is becoming more and more miserable.
Strengths, weaknesses, phobias, et cetera:
Tressa does not know her strengths, her weaknesses being that of any slave. No power, no respect and no life of her own.
She can speak, read and write Latin as well as any Roman can, she also remembers the majority of her natural tongue however has not been able to use it in over ten years now.
Though she detests it she also knows what men want, and how to best please them in the bedroom. As a slave to a wealthy Roman family she also knows all of the etiquette attached to such a family, as well as the workings of a Roman senatorβs house. She often carries out any task given to her to more than adequate level, having long since learnt that to disappoint her owner is to bring pain and punishment upon herself.
Ambition: What does any slave desire? Freedom, the death of her owner and if possible the downfall and destruction of the Roman Empire for the pain and misery it brings to all it touches.
