It all started in 2057. That’s when they began their conquest of the world. Nobody believed that the motley crew of villains could possibly succeed as well as they did. It was something so far out of left field that nobody could really stop the conquest once it’d begun.
Shocking at it may seem it all began with The Leader, the enemy of the Hulk with seeming limitless Knowledge. He, using technology, found a way to integrate himself into a technological marvel of a machine. It was far greater than the armor and technology of Dr. Doom or even Iron Man. How did he manage this? Nobody knows. But it was done.
The Leader’s next step was to capture and put the symbiote Venom under his control. This was a fairly easy task with his new found strength and power, coupled with his intellect. The Leader latched Venom onto a controllable host. It was just someone to keep the beast alive. Still he retained some sort of control. However, only enough to fight and make minor decisions. He had it in his grasp. From there he made it spawn other symbiotes and created a sort of symbiotic army. This was the first of his forces.
Following his exploits with the symbiotes The Leader moved on to a dismantled Ultron. He put the former technological marvel back together and used his new abilities to take control of it to an extent. Unlike the Symbiotes he could not afford to give it even a bit of freedom. Should he have done that it would possibly be able to rise up against him.
With Ultron in his grasp he further strengthened his army with robots of varying shapes and sizes. This made some things easier. He even began to create his own artificial symbiotes using Venom’s genetic code. However, he was able to alter it. They were more like parasites. These parasites would be bonded to many robots as well strengthening the army.
Even with all The Leader had managed to accomplish he knew that he needed more power if his plans were to come to fruition. He continued his scheme by persuading Blastaar to join him. This was actually much easier than he expected. With just a few well-placed words and a guarantee of partnership the living bomb would be one of The Leader’s main generals helping lead the armies of robots and symbiotes into battle.
Next on the list was Graviton. He took a bit more persuading. Why? He was skeptic. He was old. His age was actually a factor in which The Leader used to recruit him. The leader opted to give him a way to return to his prime. Graviton, of course, didn’t believe this. However, when the Leader provided a serum which caused the Master of Gravity to return to his youth he could not bring himself to decline the offer given to him. He would become another of the generals.
Still this serum had a limit to what it could do.Graviton would soon realize that if he wanted to keep his youth, he would need to continue to use the serum every 3 days. Should he not take the serum he’d revert to his decrepit state. It was a sort of failsafe. If Graviton chose to betray The Leader, all the man would need to do was cut off the supply of the serum.
With Blastaar and Graviton leading the army of robots and symbiotes side by side Ultron and Venom, who unbeknownst to them were under the control of The Leader, the war began.
So much time has passed. Sure there was the occasional quiet moment. A sort of calm before the storm. But the battles would begin again. Always and without fail. Time seemed to move so fast after it started. Minutes turned to hours and hours to days. Pretty soon weeks passed by and then months and years.
It’s 2088 now. After what seemed like a pointless struggle that group of villains have almost completely taken over. So many heroes have been killed, locked away or forced into hiding. Budding mutants were forced to choose between following the villains or death. It seemed as though there was no stopping the villains anymore. The only thing anyone could do was live under there rule and hope they survived.
There is no help that can be gained from off world. The leader made sure of this when he erected his control barrier around the planet. Nothing is able to enter or escape Earth. He intercepts any attempts at escape, or contacting those off world. As far as those off world are concerned there’s nothing really going on down on the little blue planet.
However, this isn't where the story ends. Despite how bleak the future looks, a group of new heroes is being raised and taught in secret by a few heroes who refuse to give up. The team is young, but right now in a world where heroes are short on supply they're almost all we've got.
Training these young heroes are Wolverine, The Hulk, and X-23. Of course, there is one more member of this team though. He helps keep the team running. Everything from the base to the training simulations is handled with his help and expertise. He was the last gift of Tony Stark before his untimely demise. Yes the final member and mentor of sorts is J.A.R.V.I.S. He is occasionally capable of uploading himself into small robot bodies to handle more physical tasks such as repairs while also remaining linked to the core of the base. He keeps the computer system fairly unhackable always updating the system and servers so as not to be caught. He is truly a guardian angel of sorts for the team.
As he fulfills his role, so do the other mentors. X-23 handles showing the kids how to fight and sometimes instructs them. However, Wolverine handles much of the instruction and planning for training. Why does he not join in the combat training most of the time? The Leader created and infect him with a virus. This virus at first didn’t seem to do much, however, over time Wolverine began to age. Though he has begun aging somewhat faster he’s still fighting. He’s giving it all he has. Thought he may not have time left. So far there doesn’t seem to be a way to save him. However, he continues to do what he can. He won’t quit until he knows the world has been saved.
Hulk isn’t a picture of health either. The leader created weapons made specifically to kill him. With the advances he made this wasn’t too hard. After multiple battles the Hulk still remains. However, he’s been considerably weakened. He occasionally helps fight, but for the most part assists in teaching the kids. His combat courses tend to hurt. But it could be worse.
Okay so with that stuff out of the way I guess we can move on to the rules. But first, regarding the little bit of history and set up for the story I’d like to add a few things regarding the beginning of the RP and the general layout as to how things are in the world as of now.
> The world around us has formed into a dystopia of sorts. The villains pretty much rule. Heroes are either in hiding, dead, or trying to lay low. You know some want to protect their families and stay alive, some tried to fight and couldn't last, some joined the villains. It happens when life is on the line. The Leader has taken over North, Central, South America, Europe, Australia and is almost done with Asia. Tokyo in the past few years has gotten really high tech and advanced and has been able to keep defense. The current one in charge there (Not sure who as of yet) May or may not join The Leader. The Leader split the world into parts. One for Blastaar, One for Graviton, One for the Symbiotes, and One for Ultron. As you know The Leader has control over Ultron and for the most part Venom. Basically anything in their possession is actually his. For the most part all those who aren’t villains live like caged animals. Only it's even more terrifying. Some die. Some don't. More minor villains are assigned to or choose factions as they wish. I hope this provides a fair idea of the world around us.
> We'll have already kind of begun getting to know each other and train together, but we're still not completely a team or really ready. Our base is hidden somewhere in the depths of the arctic. It’s big but you know we’re safe. Highly sophisticated cloaking/untraceable/unhackable whatever stuff to keep us safe. For now anyway. Also... We should have a fair grasp on our abilities, but not complete control. I want us to have room to grow. Not just power wise, but as characters too. In addition to that, being that we're heroes we're going to try not to kill. This does not mean we won't be put in situations where it might become necessary.
Back to Rules:
1) Don't be overpowered, godmod, or anything of the sort. Please I cannot stress this enough. Please I do not like to be a bad guy (depending on the circumstances).
2) It is likely that there may be death. There will most certainly be destruction. Some gore may be allowed. Within reason, of course. >_>
3) Romance is allowed. However, please take sex and stuff to PM or fade to black or whatever.
4) Have fun and try to be as active as your schedule allows. Let someone know whether or not you'll need to go if you can.
5) Listen to me and any and all Co-GMs I may appoint
6) I honestly don't mind cursing or course language too much. However, please do not go overboard.
7) Being that this is a low – mid level casual roleplay I expect at least a paragraph per post. Please and thank you :3
8) I reserve the right to add and change rules as I see fit.

Skills/Abilities: {In this area of the CS you tell us what your character can do. However, everything here correlates to things that anybody could do if they practiced, studied, learned, etc.}
Powers: {If your character has superpowers, this is where you tell us what they are. Do not simply apply a link or something. What are the powers limitations as of now? Will they fade? Etc. Give detail because as I stated before I do not wish for us to have full access to our powers or full control. Leave room to grow.}
Weaknesses: {This kind of reiterates the limitations of your powers. However, in addition you may add any added fears, traumas, or other afflictions which may plague your character. In some cases, the weakness may be a permanent defect. In others it may simply be an obstacle to overcome which will help make you stronger. This may help with Character development throughout the RP.}
Personality: {I don’t require you to describe your characters personality. It may simply be shown throughout the RP}

Other: {Did I forget something you may want to add? This is where ya do it.}
Name: Tyler Stilinski {Yup... I'm using this name... If you know it... Awesome XD)
Alias: Nova
Age: 16
Gender: Male
Appearance: Tyler stands at about 5'7" weighing in at about 127lbs. He's lean, but muscular due to the physical training from Wolverine and the rest. It was kind of necessary to turn the scrawny runt they found and make him into someone able to fight and wield his power.
Equipment: Tyler has an altered Supernova helmet. It attaches his Nova uniform and allows him to breathe in space while also making him slow down when approaching something in his path and then speed up again when there is a clear path. In addition to this, the helmet records and displays holograms, while feeding available information to his brain. It also translates any language in the universe into English for him and translates his voice to the language of whomever he may be speaking with. It also acts as a communicator patched into the team’s network which again is ever changing due to J.A.R.V.I.S. so they don’t run as high a risk of being hacked or traced. The helmet also provides him with the Nova HUD which displays a person’s name and affiliation. It essentially does everything it did before with a few alterations. Still above all else its primary use is to help him keep his power in check after the accident.
Skills/Abilities: Tyler holds a slightly above average intellect for his age due to his work ethic and constant studying. Still he could never really match the intellect of a true genius. He has very little real combat experience outside of the combat lessens he receives from the teams mentors with everyone. He relies mainly on his speed and wit. Additionally, he is a very good cook, and good at doing various house hold chores, which he usually does since he doesn't like the way any of the mentors handle such things. He can play the guitar, the violin, and drums. He can also sing fairly well, but would probably never sing in front of people unless he didn't know they were there.
Powers: Tyler is the host of a portion of the Nova Force, a vast energy source that he can access to grant himself a number of superhuman attributes. The Nova Force, which was said to have been used empower all members of the Nova Corps throughout the universe, allows him to possess tremendously augmented strength and durability as well as enormous quantities of energy that allows him to hold his own against other powerful beings. Still it is only a portion of the energy source, so of course he is not on the level of say Richard Rider.
Weaknesses: Tyler unlike other Supernovas does not have the limitation of losing his power when the helmet is removed due to special circumstances. However, the effect of it being removed from his head is pretty similar. Without the helmet he cannot properly control the output of power among other aspects of his abilities. Because of this he makes sure not to use his powers if he can avoid it unless his helmet is on. However, they are much harder to control then one might think. In addition to this problem he possesses a severe lack of experience which can be fatal in a real battle. He has a bit of a temper and may act reckless if the right buttons are pushed putting himself and his comrades in danger. Tyler is also cripplingly claustrophobic. If locked in a small dark place logic might as well fly out the window. He'll just shut down. (More may be added here)
Personality: I have trouble describing the personality of my characters. So I like to RP it. However, Tyler essentially has a strong sense of justice, and responsibility. He also has is fairly kind albeit his sarcasm and small attitude. So yeah... That is a basic idea of it. He'll be a fairly average guy.
History: Tyler was born in the Summer of 2072 on August 1st. Given this information he doesn't know a time when The Leader among other villain's didn't have all the power. For the most part he had a nice life. Sure he lived under the thumbs of villains, but he had his parents. Even with all the horrible things that were going on they managed to keep him happy. And if they couldn't do that they kept him busy. Lesson in music, academics, etc. He had their undivided attention. Sure sometimes it was a bit annoying and frustrating, but looking back he really misses those simple days. Days he spent wrestling and messing around with his dad while his Mom cooked. It was the life. Seriously it was.
He never really knew how much he might actually wish for the days of the past he never even really knew about. Or at least wish that he wasn't such a nosy brat. What can he say... He was only really 12 on that day. No... He should have known better. He was just being stupid. That day when he went into the basement and started rummaging through his dad's old things. That day he found the helmet. That day that he was ACTUALLY STUPID ENOUGH TO PUT THE DAMN THING ON EVEN THOUGH HE DIDN'T KNOW WHAT IT WAS! If only he'd never done it... His father might be alive... His mother might actually have been able to get away with him.
Unlike the base, his home didn't have security systems and the like capable of concealing the power of the Nova Force. The power and light emitted in the brief moment before his father snatched the thing off his head was just enough... Just enough to alert The Leader's forces. The door came crashing down. Tyler could here his mother's shriek followed by the voice of a young man. The stomps of metal feet on the floor could be heard along with the hissing of the altered symbiotes. He doesn't remember exactly what his father said to him that day. But he does remember seeing a symbiote wrap itself around his mother's flesh as she tried to get to the basement and the look on his father's face as the man pushed him out of the basement through the cellar door and told him to fly.
Tyler didn't want to go. He remembers that too. He even remembers taking off. Of course, he got away. But while he was flying he took a blast to the head. It damaged the helmet. This wasn't go. The Nova Force needed a vessel. Seeking shelter it stored itself in the twelve year old's body. He doesn't remember this... The blast had knocked him out. Luckily he was found by X-23, after his crash landing. Of course, he doesn't remember that either. It's been 4 years since he woke up in the base. He started off a bit like a whiny brat who spent the brunt of his time complaining and crying, but he's grown quite a bit since then. And he's ready to take on The Leader and his forces. And maybe... Just maybe his mother might still be alive and be capable of being saved.
