History:
This RP was my first creation as a GM. While it's original design was to allow players (both experienced and newbish) to interact with one another and feel each other's play-styles out, so to speak, with very little limitation on character creation, so as to not to limit it quickly became a loved story by a small group. However, due to the destruction of its original home (the LFG forums), it's original thread was lost. Through the magic of the internet, I was able to reconstruct the story and continue it through the creation of my own forum. Alas, while I managed to get some of the original players back together, as well as some new players as well, I needed more. Thus, this RP was moved to the Roleplayer Guild. Therefore, the story continues!

Ladies and Gentlemen, I present to you:

+-+-+

~The Playground of the Omniverse~
The Continued Story

+-+-+

[The Setting]
As in most cases, before one can ever begin to enter characters into a story, a backdrop must be created. The world where you will be putting your character is very unique, as it is literally the crossroads between every single world and dimension imagined. Obviously, this means that people from any universe possible could meet and interact: a stormtrooper can have a drink with a hobbit, Abe Lincoln can have an epic duel with Master Chief, a Dragonborn can have a dance off with talking koala bear, and so on and so forth. The possibilities are endless.

As for the lay of the land itself, the entire world is completely flat (yes, you can literally fall off the edge or spartan kick someone over the edge). Due to the land's history, the land is evenly split between two types of foliage: a variety of grasses (which naturally become fields) and trees (which naturally become forests) From an aerial view, the entire "map" looks like a checkerboard, red squares representing fields and black squares representing forests. However, in the midst of the organized cluster of nature lies a series of towering triangular rocks, slanting on random angles, twisting inward and outward from a city large enough to hold 90% of the world's population.

This city, known as Tutmose, is split into three sections of a unbelievably tall ring of wall. One ringed wall splits the city into three sections, which are known as the Lows, the Middles, and the Highs.

Beyond the walls of the city, lies the vast wilderness, lies The Wildwood. The last 10% of The Crossroad's population resides here, and are considered mysterious, dangerous, and savage. Likewise, the checkered land of field and forest is considered equally dangerous, with fearsome beasts prowling in its foliage...

[Characters and their roles]
I am allowing the incredible in this RP. For experienced RPers, you know that "end game" characters (characters that have an extensive history from being played in numerous games) or characters with incredible knowledge, power, etc. are more than likely frowned upon in new RPs. This is not the case in The Playground. If you have an ancient character, full of history and brimming with power, you can place them in this RP. If you have a character that is brand new (and maybe even specifically created for this RP), you can place them here. However, as much freedom of creativity I am giving you, there are some limitations I am going to place in the RP to prevent some nasty encounters between players and to prevent "Joe the Slayer mowed through a legion of soul stealing demons twice his strength because he has [enter item name here]." Here are some limitations that I know will have limitations:

!) Mind control powers/spells: Obviously, this can lead to some pretty sticky situations. If I make an exception, it will be extremely limited to certain npcs and definitely having no effect on PCs. Basically, you are going to have the power of Jedi mind control - the weaker one's will is, the better chances of you being able to control them for an extremely limited time
!) Powerful weapons: Again, this can lead to sticky situations. While I do believe in powerful weapons/items, this will be something that I will have to judge from character from character.
!) Anything Else: I'm not going to be able to cover everything in a list. Basically, when I look at your CS, I'm not going to be looking for anything about your character other than his weapons and abilities/spells. Once you enter into this RP, you're in. No if's, but's, or when's. However, before you enter my world, I might ask you to tone down specifics about your spells just to balance out stuff and to make it more practical towards Player vs. Player reactions.

+-+-+

[The Player and Me]
This is where you and I come in. As much as GMing is fun, I also would like to RP. Therefore, I'll be entering my own characters and interacting with your characters as well as NPCs. As GM, I will not be introducing you, like most play-by-post RPs happen. Instead, you will be telling me and your fellow RPers how you ended up in the Omniverse. After all, you know the world/dimension your character hails from much better than I. You can even start in the Crossroads if you prefer, pretending your character has shown up months prior or something of that nature. Or, if you're feeling adventerous, you can even have your character be a native to this land (this may take longer for a character to be developed, seeing that details of certain situations will have to be discussed :P)

+-+-+

[The number of characters allowed]
Most RPs are limited to the number of characters allowed, obviously to keep the story organized and to keep from the GM from going insane. However, this is not the case in The Playground. You can have as many characters as you want. But there's a catch - you can only play one a time. Meaning if you want to move from one character to another character, the first character either must go to sleep, sit idle, become K.O.'d, etc. Mainly, this is for my sanity and for the sake of my fingers (typing for +20 characters is insane).

+-+-+

[Player Interactions]
I highly encourage player interaction. I am only here to propel the different scenes. The rest is up to you guys. You can post a millions pages for as much as I care - if two characters are interacting that much, I'm thrilled (though I may call for a post halt if you guys get a little too far ahead). However, I need to establish some basic rules, that many of you should be familiar with if you're an experienced RPer.

1) God-modding
Okay, we get it. Your character is extremely skilled in fighting or is extremely smart and is able to figure out people/problems quickly. However, this does not mean you are able to dodge everything thrown at you and able to solve every problem at the blink of an eye. Take a hit or allow your character to become stumped every once in a while. It makes it more fun for you and the GM ;)

2) Forcing vs. Reacting
Giving a chance for players to react to your sword swing gives them a choice to dodge it or actually take a hit and bleed. It makes fighting much more intense and much more enjoyable. Even as a GM, I must follow this rule simply because it give a player a choice vs. me just shoving a blade up their abdomen and basically having the person declare "Welp, I'm fucked and I have no way to react to my anal rape."

3) Character Death
Killing another person character without permission DOES NOT HAPPEN. Do so, and by every GM power I posses I will smite your character's sorry ass and revive the one you just so ungraciously killed. Seriously, so much time and love is put into a good character. Don't just wipe it away by some random act of violence.

+-+-+

[Aaand everything else]
If you have a question or concern, do not hesitate to ask. That's why I'm here. Well, that and to make your character's life an absolute living hell. *Cackle* If you want to make a character I highly suggest using the template below I've provided (I'd prefer it, but that of course is your choice). However, one last thing - you cannot post in the IC until your CS has been approved. If you have interest in the RP, you will be placed on the pending list until your CS has been approved. Then, providing the RP is not filled up, you can enter the RP (if we are full, you'll be placed on the waiting list until someone decides to stop playing or if I feel I can open up new slots).

Also, take note: I will only be posting once a week, usually on the weekend! The pace of this RP could be considered slow, however, that is completely up to you as the player. If you're in the middle of conversation with another player and want to have a lengthy conversation, want to monologue about a certain ongoing event, or if you even want to have a flashback while quietly sipping a drink at a bar, be my guest. I love character development!

+-+-+

Welcome to The Playground ;)

~Cheers!

Number of Active Players: 7
- Pajamas
- Fitz
- Nilly
- King In The North
- Eraldocoil
- Sessamaru
- LionHeart

Update:
Due to the lack of players joining as I had hoped, I'm cutting off the allowed player limit and opening up the character limit - each player will now be able play up to 3 characters at once. Anything beyond this, the regular "KO" rules will apply. If you wish to join this RP, PM me We'll go from there. ;D

Name: Garret Llewellyn
Race: Human (Sort of)

Gender: Male
Age: 35

Height/Weight: 6'2"/ 230 Ibs
Personality/Interests: Garret is solid, spirited, caring. He is quite the jovial man, quick to smile and laugh, friendly to all he meets and doesn't hesitate to help those in need, a true knight. He is supremely gifted in martial combat, spending more then half his life training and mastering weapon after weapon, earning him great respect amongst his allies.

Appearance: A tall man standing about 6'2". He has dark blue eyes and neck length brown hair that's swept back, resembling a mane. He is a rather muscular man, remaining in peak physical form typical of the Knights. His unshaven face bears creases that come from smiling too often, as well as a few small scars.

Details:
Body build: Muscular
Hair: Swept back, mane-like
Hair color: Chestnut Brown
Skin color: Lightly tanned.
Eye/Iris color: White/Dark Blue
Notable Features: Full beard, crow's feet, small scars on his face, long pointed nose.

Clothing Description: Generally light clothes with standard leather boots, as well as a red waist cloth.

Equipment: Garret carries little to nothing, only a simple waterskin and some camping provisions, flint, dried meats and fruits, things of that nature.

Weapon(s)
Garret's only weapon is his greatest strength, and the power that gave him the title of One Man Army.

Knight's Raiment:
Proteus, the Master Arm.
Proteus' true form is that of a glob of liquid metal that shapes into whatever it's wielder wills it whether it be a weapon, armor, or a combination of both. It is ice cold to the touch and will never separate from it's bearer, additionally it can gain a will of it's own should the wielder fall unconscious. It's wielder can alter Proteus' physiology at any time, meaning he can throw it as a javelin then alter the head to that of a morning star after it has pierced the flesh. The limits being that Proteus itself will only become armaments suitable for combat.

Proteus can alter it's shape into that of any other armament from a longsword to a halberd, hammer to axe, greatsword to rapier, it can even form a suit of armor. As such it grants it's wielder great versatility, though only if the user is proficient with many weapons. However, in all it's forms it retains a few key characteristics.
-All forms are made of the same material, some form of steel or silver with golden etchings.
-There are runes etched into the blade or body of all forms, easily identifying the weapon.

Proteus itself is a magical force, and it somewhat has a mind of it's own. What it does is if any part of it is separated from Garret's body all it takes is a thought from him to instantly call it back to him, as it shares a fraction of his soul. So when I say thrown like a javelin he literally makes a javelin and throws it, only for that weapon to melt and be recalled back to his hand.

Aside from Proteus, Garret is proficient with a few Knight Magistra, spells from his world.

Magistra:
-Regeneration
By channeling one's energy, a knight can continuously heal minor wounds, even in battle. This Magistra is in effect as long as you keep channeling energy to it, though eventually it may drain life force. Be wary of the knight who wields this Magistra, for he shall not fall easily.

-Cleanse
A Magistra in which one focuses their energy into cleansing the body of all impurities. This act of course, takes time and absolute focus otherwise not everything might be cleansed.

-Shockwave
A simple Magistra in which a knight focuses his energy inward, then releases it in a forceful wave, propelling foes back and deflecting projectiles. An alternate method is to focus the release emitting a ball of force from one's hands.

Holy monkey on a pogostick giving Jesus his mail, this looks like a lot of potential fun! I'll have an CS up soon!

"Well, that was kind of depressing..."
Name:
Walter R. Cromwell
Race:
Human(?)
Gender:
Male
Age:
Unknown, but sounds like he's in his mid 30s
Height/Weight:
Stands at around 6'0 and looks as if he may weigh around 160 lbs
Personality/Interests:
Enjoys talking to people, learning about who they are. He's a skeptic at heart, always asking questions and being intuitive about his situation. He seems to take a particular interest in his work, the art of killing for money. While he seems very dark and mysterious from his very covered up figure, he's actually a very social, friendly guy. Even when your on the receiving end of his weapon, he still has a "its just business" attitude about it. Never takes much of anything personal and sort of drifts through conversations and life in general.
Details:
Details of his appearance are unknown as he is seemingly never seen without wearing his outfit.
Clothing Description:
As seen in the picture, he wears a black, formal trench coat, black gloves, black hat trimmed with white, and most notably the covered face with a single "eye hole" that is covered with a see through piece of black cloth.
Equipment
A few smoke and flash grenades are almost always at hand, a swiss army knife, and a spoon.
Weapon(s):
"The Storm"
Seen in the appearance picture, it is an enchanted assault rifle capable of firing a variety of different types of bullets with different types of effects, ranging from incendiary to stun. It has both a red dot and ACOG sight on the top and carries a wooden finish for class. Still needs ammo to fire, so Walter typically carries around nine or ten magazines on him. Usually holstered inside his tench coat.

Bullet Types:
Incendiary: doesn't do much physical damage initially, but very hot and can potentially light things on fire. Essentially like a tracer on super steroids.
Armor Piercing: A magical round that doubles its hardness and mass, making it deadly to armored targets (depending on the armor).
Magical Piercing: Used for piercing most regular magical or enchanted forms of protection. It really depends on the magic at hand.
Stun: The strange non-lethal hippy cousin of the bullet family. It stuns the target like a tazor upon impact and temporarily immobilizes them so that they may be secured. Also they're very painful.

"The Lucky 13"
A nine shot revolve that fires normal .44 rounds. This weapon has saved Walter's life on 13 occasions, despite its normality, thus it recieved its nickname "The Lucky 13".

"The Little Subsonic"
Walter carries two of these around with a few magazines between them. Used for quiet kills on soft targets, this pistol fires a .22 round that sounds now louder than a light cough.

"Daggers"
Sometimes, old fashion ways are the best. Kept hidden up his sleeves, the two daggers serve to be great at killing things and keeping quiet about it. The name, however, was something Walter simply couldn't come up with.
History:
"My story you say? Well aren't you the most inquisitive man in the bar Steve? Well, my story is a long, complicated one with lots of boring bits and little excitement. Only in my recent history, has life become more interesting and added some color to my story. I kill by trade, a profession I am most proud of. Little mess, normally, and very efficient, quiet elimination of targets how ever the client requested.... How many I have killed? I'm not crazy you know, that's not something I exactly keep track of. Killing may be an art, but you don't need to get all psychotic about it.
...
What do you mean "You contradict yourself"? What, I can't take pride in skillfully and masterfully taking down a highly powerful. well known royal by making it look like his notoriously jealous brother killed him with poison? Look Steve, you like to travel around town asking people about their lives, doing some work on the side, and other stuff while I like to do my job, and do it well, cause it's what I'm good at and pays my rent. We don't need to get all philosophical about our origin stories or professions, do we Steve?
...
Hey! I didn't mean it like that, come on! Aaaaand he's gone.... Why is everyone I meet named Steven...?"

Name: Kresnik Drakonov
Race: Dhampir
Gender: Male
Age: 128

Height/Weight: 6'2" 160 lbs
Personality/Interests:
Kresnik Drakonov is a brooding, melancholic figure. He is self-loathing, cynical, intelligent, and witty. Though prone to misanthropic tendencies, Kresnik is a deeply conflicted individual who has constant bouts with his own morality and principles, as well as questioning his own existence as a monstrous hybrid. He's willing to protect innocents, whether for money or if it's truly the right thing to do, but he's also willing to kill an innocent person in order to further his own agenda, whether or not they're being mauled by a werewolf in the process. His intelligence is sharp and perceptive and his cynicism is not without wisdom; and with that wisdom, more knowledge is available to him to use as a weapon, and Kresnik is fully aware of this fact and is prone to abusing it. The half-vampire is not above using tricks and mischief to get his way, but he often questions if it was the best choice at the time; unless he's getting beaten to near death, then those questions are out the window. Clever and witty, Kresnik often runs his mouth off far more than he should, perhaps a defense mechanism to mask his own pain and hate. He often appears as a stoic with a dry sense of humor, making him a snarker of sorts.

Despite being a dhampir, his self-loathing comes mostly from his tragedies; all of which are from his failures and shortcomings. In this sense, he's a perfectionist (yet not quite a narcissist), and if something goes wrong, he undergoes dark moods in the form of rage (which is truly his depression and sorrow, along with his own insecurities that fuel it). Because of his perfectionist mindset, he's an expert tactician and prefers to be a lone wolf in just about any job. Despite his outwardly cold demeanor, Kresnik is a very caring and compassionate individual, and is quite fond of children and animals. However, Kresnik is able to kill others with little to no compassion, showing a level of professionalism as a mercenary and assassin; though he does not enjoy the killing, he justifies it as a necessity to further his own goals and money was almost always required.

Kresnik has a fear of witches; or more specifically, Baba Yaga (the Hag of the Swamp). Baba Yaga warped him into the man he became, an avid scholar and exceptional vampire hunter (as well as a monster hunter in general), but not without mental scarring. He bears nothing but hate and fear for witches, despite being a powerful sorcerer himself, and is quick to distrust (and perhaps even kill) them. However, what he hates more than witches are lycanthropes, faeries, and especially vampires, all of whom antagonize, warp, and feed off of humans.

Even though the dhampir is a self-loathing hypocrite, he has a measure of self-respect and is quickly prone to vow revenge whenever he feels he had been wronged in some way. However, this would take much to sting his pride, something even he forgets about. In this respect, he is headstrong and not easily deterred; he fears witches, and fears even the dead gods more, but not even they can stop him in his tracks once he puts his mind onto an objective.

Appearance:
General Appearance

Details:
Body build: Athletic, muscular
Hair: Long
Hair color: Silver-white
Skin color: Pale with gray tint
Eye/Iris color: Violet
Notable Features: Slitted pupils, slightly pointed ears, gray tinted skin, and slightly pronounced canines.

Clothing Description:
Kresnik prefers to wear dark clothing, feeling the need to mourn for everything that dies whether it is people or the passing of days. He favors a black long coat, which appears often to be in tatters. He keeps his chest bare, despite keeping the coat buttoned up slightly past his torso. He wears black leather greaves and boots (which has steel plates at the toes and heels).

Equipment

Amulet of Lunathalanas (Pronounced: LOON-UH-THUH-LAY-NUHS)
A holy symbol of the moon goddess, Lunathalanas. The silver amulet is a disk with an apex that plays with the lighting of both moon and sun, capable of mimicking the many moon phases. It has no actual value aside from being a keepsake from his childhood, a toy he regularly played with when left alone and given to him by his adoptive/late father, Father Makarith. Lunathalanas is the goddess of the moon, the night, and the hunt.

Misc
Herb pouch
Coin purse
Small satchel full of vials (Blood Substitute Potions x10)
Razor wire (30ft coil)
Alchemy Kit

Weapon(s)
Rosaria- A silver-bladed, single-edge longsword forged with blood, the red-blade is enchanted to slay supernatural creatures, its arch-nemesis being the vampires. The sword possesses a magical glow that brightens in the presence of werewolves and vampires, and not even the Faerie like the bite of the sword. It has multiple abilities, such as the blade breaking off into fragments and being linked by magic, turning it into a scarlet whip. It can also explode into slivers, resembling a bloody mist or a flurry of rose petals, and can surround a foe or race toward a foe. It is also considered a vorpal weapon due to possessing an impossibly sharp edge.

Daggers x4 (one in each boot, one on opposite hip from sword, one hidden by coat behind)

Hidden Blade- Due to his profession, his right bracer is actually a weapon possessing a spring-loaded 6" blade. It is also made of silver, as is the rest of his arsenal, used solely as a last resort or to be used for discretion.

Spells/Powers/Talents/Abilities
Kresnik is a powerful mage in his own right, knowing many forms of magic. However, he has a mastery of sangromancy- magic that uses blood as an alternative source of power, capable of performing tasks directly and perhaps to use the blood in manipulative ways, even so far as summoning ancient and powerful blood elementals. Kresnik also has access to necromancy (expert), pyromancy (expert), aeromancy (adept), and electromancy (adept), allowing him vast access to spells and elementals. Due to his expansive knowledge of magic, he also possesses knowledge of various creatures and ancient, eldritch things. He specializes in the occult and the supernatural, making him an excellent Hunter.

Due to his lineage, however, Kresnik feels the insatiable thirst for blood, which (if untended) could leave him either weak/crippled or prone to blind survival. Because of this, and because his magical training, he is skilled in potion-making and often times poisons. Should he drink the potions that sate his vampiric thirst, he would not only retain his humanity, but would still possess the enhanced strength, speed, agility, endurance, and stamina of vampires; however, should he drink blood, he would not only increase his natural abilities, but would gain insight from the victim; however, the cost of this is the potential to go mad with combining their memories/identities to his own. Unlike the vampires, however, he can eat normal food and drink anything he needs to sustain himself (although this does not sate his thirst for blood by any means; it simply keeps himself alive) and he is also capable of walking out into sunlight without fear of being burned alive.

He has a slowed, if not an altogether halted aging process, allowing him to remain youthful and at his peak.

He's a skilled melee combatant, capable of using swords, daggers, and even whips. Because of his more physical nature, he prefers to augment his weaponry with temporary spells (though using a fireball or seven wouldn't hurt either). He can even augment his own body with spells, to increase his speed or strength, but his physiological spellcasting is merely at novice level, for he showed no legitimate interest in the field, making the spells relatively weak (but still somewhat handy). This makes him a tactical assassin, especially since he is skilled in tracking and stealth.

He can understand and speak five languages, verbally fluent in all five. He is also capable of seeing in the dark.

History:
Born upon the Isle of Blackwood, a nation covered in vast forests, villages aplenty, and scarcely cities, Kresnik was the sole heir to former King Ulrich Drakonov VI. Born half vampire, his father ordered both him and his mother executed when he was at the age of four years; this was enforced by his uncle, Vladimir Drakonov, who has been said had persuaded the king in doing so to keep in good grace of the people should such a scandal be leaked. Both mother and son ran far away, seeking shelter. They were founded by the Abbey of the Moon, taken in by a kind priest of Lunathalanas by the name of Father Makarith. Much of the clergy was in an uproar, protesting against taking in an abomination and the harlot who brought such a thing into existence. However, Father Makarith quelled their ire by taking responsibility and calling upon many, many favors that were owed to him.

Both the mother and kresnik lived near the priest's quarters, out of both surveillance and security. After only two months of hiding, the king's men found Kresnik's mother within the confines of the abbey, many dead priests littering the halls. Unbeknownst to them, Kresnik was hidden in an attic, where in between the floorboards he could see the events down below. There, he watched in horror as the guards beat, tortured, raped, and eventually killed his mother... and then proceed to defile the corpse further before the warmth of her body left. A guard eventually spotted a single lavender glow when looking up after hearing a sickly groan from above, in the midst of searching the room. The guards were alarmed of the glow, curious as to what could possible do such a thing. They found the secret door, the descending ladder, and climbed into the attic. The leading guard smiled as he spotted Kresnik and pursued after the young boy, who was scared and disturbed. Before the guard could continue his way up, screams and groans were heard below. The guard that chased after Kresnik was immediately dragged down the stairway and he let out the loudest scream of all. Kresnik looked over the small crack in the floor of the attic and saw Father Makarith covered in blood, wielding a longsword in one hand and a whip in another.

After the demise of his mother, Kresnik and Father Makarith fled from the abbey and into an isolated wood, living in a small shack. The priest then taught the boy many things. How to hunt, to fish, to pick berries, and how to perform alchemy. When Kresnik became older, he learned how to use a sword, whip, daggers, and many other weapons for self-defense. In between these times, he was also schooled in mathematics, literature, and philosophy, along with some history. At the age of fifteen, his adoptive father died of illness, leaving the boy alone. Kresnik cremated the man and left, seeking a new place to establish himself. He would soon find himself upon a cottage many months later, where upon he met an elderly woman, so ugly that he wondered if he truly was the monster or if she was. This old hag made a bargain with the boy. If he could beat her in a battle of wits, she would let him go free; however, if she won, she got to keep the boy. Kresnik lost the game and became her toy for the next ten years. She revealed herself to be Baba Yaga, the most powerful witch of the Isle. For those ten years, he was her servant, her student and apprentice, as well as her own personal play thing. Every morning was a routine involving some form of murder; forced to be quick on his feet, Kresnik avoided death by a hair's breadth. He would perform chores throughout the house whilst memorizing arcane mantras and spells. As he grew older, the tasks became more rigorous, the mantras and spells became more complex, and waking up became more and more violent. Near the final years as her toy, Kresnik fought and killed demons every morning, was taught by a devil in warfare and martial skill (nearly dying in the process each and every day), read texts on various creatures of lore as well as miscellaneous texts of medicine and medical theories, and began to master Sangromancy, the school of magic that he excelled in.

Kresnik fled the cottage after mastering Sangromancy, incapacitating the witch (for his magic was nowhere strong enough to kill the hag). In the end, he began adventuring, providing his service as a monster slayer, as a mercenary. He had picked up many jobs, such as becoming a butler for a wealthy count to protect the man from vampiric assassins. Many people he befriended died, even when the contract was fulfilled. His most recent adventure led him to a village that suffered from a plague, from a poisoned water supply that brought the dead back as ghouls. He formed a bond with a woman there, who was subsequently kidnapped by Xathrid Tharn, a necromancer of great power and influence. Kresnik fought his way through hordes of undead and fought Xathrid Tharn's masked bodyguard, Simon Chernobog. After cornering the opponent, Simon fled and Kresnik found Xathrid Tharn performing a ritual to resurrect a dead god, using the woman as a vessel. The dhampir interrupted the ritual, causing the dead god to grow furious, snatching the woman. Simon Chernobog killed the necromancer, cheating Kresnik of his revenge. The vampire hunter chased after both the dead god and Simon through a portal. He arrived in a shadowy, gloomy world; a darker reflection of his own home. Kresnik knew then that his own home was tainted, raped by the dark influence of the dead gods.

In his rage, Kresnik killed the inhabitants of the dark world whenever they crossed his path; men, women, and children, all of whom were grey-skinned, white-haired, slender, gaunt, and eyes that were of amber saucers. Upon nearing the dead god, Kryshiaak, Kresnik encountered Simon for one final time, who revealed himself to be an echo of Kresnik himself. His skin was of the finest tan, hair of the darkest black, and eyes of the sickliest of greens. Their features and skills were identical in every possible way. Kresnik killed Simon, first by weakening him and then forcing the man to tear out his own heart. The dhampir approached the dead god, a thing so hideous and incomprehensible that one must question its existence. After a long duel, Kresnik was near death. The girl he sought to save ran to him; his thirst kicked in and won over, his will too weak to hold it back. He drank her blood, drank her dry, and with renewed vitality, he sealed the dead god away with his own magic.

Several days later, after cremating and mourning her, Kresnik opened a portal to leave the dark world...

These characters! I love them! :D However, a few questions/clarifications:

@LionHeart:
Garret is a terrific character, I love it. However, his weapon, I'm going to need some clarification... When you say it never separates from his body... Is it "soulbound" (I guess this is the best way of saying this) or like Venom's symbiote (if you're familiar with this)? Also, when it is "thrown like a javelin," does it act like this? As in, it never leaves his body, but rather stretches?

Finally, how much of this weapon can covert as a armor while being wielded as a weapon?

@Kilo
Glad to see that you're excited about the RP! :D Also, love Walter. Kind of reminds me of Deadpool a little bit, haha. However, I do need one more thing before I can approve this character. I need to know the exacts of "The Storm's" bullet choice. I know this can be a bit of a pain in the ass, but I also don't want you resorting a situational bullet type to get out of a tight spot... You know, "Oh, I see you are using a fire-reliant baddy. It just so happens I have a cyrobullet that can freeze you right here, right now!" Wouldn't want to make it too easy for Walter, now would we? ;D

I'm not going to be able to he in this, sorry guys :(

And I'm sorry to hear that! :c

But yes. Looks like all the available slots are filled, so I won't be taking any more new players! However, if you want to be placed on the waiting list, I'll be more than happy to do so. :3

EDIT:
Added one important detail to the first post, but for convenience, I'll put it below:

Also, take note: I will only be posting once a week, usually on the weekend! The pace of this RP could be considered slow, however, that is completely up to you as the player. If you're in the middle of conversation with another player and want to have a lengthy conversation, want to monologue about a certain ongoing event, or if you even want to have a flashback while quietly sipping a drink at a bar, be my guest. I love character development!

It's not that it will never separate from his body but that he always has access to it, as in Garret can never ever be disarmed. Being that Proteus itself is a magical force, and it somewhat has a mind of it's own. What it does is if any part of it is separated from Garret's body all it takes is a thought from him to instantly call it back to him, as it shares a fraction of his soul. So when I say thrown like a javelin he literally makes a javelin and throws it, only for that weapon to melt and be recalled back to his hand.

And as for how much armor he can have whilst still being armed, he can make a full suit of plate mail and still have enough for a medium sized shield and weapon. Or two medium sized weapons. One of Garret's signature battle styles is fully armored with two longswords.

Edit: Also, I elaborated further upon his race. I keep forgetting that I should probably explain everything that comes up about my own world.

Ah, alrighty. That's fine then. If you wouldn't mind adding that detail to your CS, Iiiii think you're good to go! Feel free to post whenever in the IC (unless you would prefer to have me introduce you into the story).

Also, out of curiosity, does Proteus ever break/shatter if put under incredible stress?

I hear ya Rhaevnn, and I'll be more specific in the types of bullets he can change. I'll edit it tomorrow. I also have another character in the works that will be a good friend of Mr. Cromwell.

Alright cool. I'll post myself, I've already got an interesting idea I think.

Depends, any normal physical force, not unless it was supremely strong. As in, not something any human could likely achieve on his own. Add some kind of enhancement magic to it, far more likely. Though any piece that shatters or breaks off would melt and reform back where it belongs.

Fitz

Member Seen 10 yrs ago

Name: Fitz Alphagenoi
Race: Human
Gender: Male
Age: Physical Age: 22
Actual Age: Eternal

Species: Shaed/ God
Shaed's are creatures of the shadows. They are humanoid, however they lack facial features, their arms end in points as opposed to hands, and they bear no sexual organs. They usually do not wear clothes, with the exception of a cape and hood. Shaeds do not reproduce, but are created from shadow. They are armed with the ability to summon a single Shaed Sword out of shadow, much like Fitz's ability to summon. They can also use shadow like ki blasts.

Height/Weight: 5'13"/ 210lbs. 6% Body Fat
Personality/Interests: Outgoing, defensive of friends/ family, slow to anger. Fitz has been described as one of the kindest people in Invot. He has an undying sense of empathy, and puts his friends safety before his own. He is often reckless in battle, and inventive in his battle style. He is just as strong as Halcyon, if not stronger (due to the fact that he is able to hold him back at all times), however he does not know how to control the power, so he often channels Halcyon's power. Halcyon and Fitz often argue and do not agree an a copious amounts of things. However, there are a few things in this world that they can agree that they love; Battle, Food, and they're wife Ganti.

Details
Body build: Strong build
Hair: Short in the front, Long and tied into a ponytail in the back.
Hair color: Blonde
Skin color: White
Eye/Iris color: Blue
Notable Features: Scar across face from bottom of right eye, across nose, to mid cheek

Clothing Description: Plain Red V-Neck with Jeans and a Black Leather Trench Coat

Weapon(s)
Shaed Swords (two straight edged katanas made of shadow connected to his soul)
Sword of the Hero (long sword with a wide blade bearing the power of the godessess. It gives him unlimited energy. Fitz uses this to cut holes in time-space and jump dimensions. It has 3 stones embedded into it's hilt that give it power),
Shadow Aura: Formed and discharged portions of shadow. Depending on usage, these discharges can be destructive and can even cause cataclysmic damage depending on the ability and power of the person using them, ranging from mountains, cities, continents, planets, solar systems to galaxies. Fitz/ Halcyon can also use it for more practical reasons, for example as a defensive barrier (but this cannot be held for long by Fitz, 10 secs most. A little longer by Halcyon 30 secs most), creating darkness in a room or certain area. Shadow aura can be manipulated rather creatively which leads to Fitz/ Halcyon discovering new ways to use it often. Shadow aura is also the aura that flows out of Fitz/ Halcyon when they are powering up or are holding at a certain power level.

Talents/Abilities: Fitz bears all the same abilities of Halcyon, but is not as adept at using them, due to his limited knowledge of his power.
Fitz can store and summon his weapons from the shadow aura. All his weapons have a black shadow aura encompassing them when he summons them.

Power of the Goddesses (When Halcyon takes over Fitz's body, their power is increased extremely dramatically. They become almost invincible. Only strong attacks can scratch them. Any light/ holy attacks do weaken him immensely, but there is no way to kill Fitz/ Halcyon while they are in this form. However, the downside of this is that Halcyon is destructive beyond anyone's control and Fitz cannot contain him, so Fitz has yet to allow full control. Fitz allows for spurts of control, for brief increases in power. He rarely uses this to it's full extent.)
Equip/ Exquip: Fitz/ Halcyon can equip or exquip their weapons using shadow aura, summoning them at a vary of speeds, from instantaneous to 5 secs.

History: *Spoilers for my video game Razz* When the land of Invot was created, the 3 Goddesses created a being from the shadow. His skin was dark. His face lacked the features of a human: eyeless and mouth-less, yet he could still see and speak. His hair was like fire and whipped about over him. They called his race the Shaed, and they named him "Son of Peace of the First Generation", or Fitzhalcyon Alphagenoi, and gave him their power, so that he would govern the world they had created. However, Fitzhalcyon's soul became corrupted. He disowned the goddesses, destroyed them, and took on the name Lord Halcyon, declaring himself ruler of all and attacked the land. He ravaged the land before, finally, a young man appeared and split Lord Halcyon into 2: Fitz, the good, and Halcyon, the evil. The hero sent the two souls into the body of a young earth child in the far future. This child grew to become Fitz. Back in the past, the hero suddenly disappeared during a stormy night. The humans of Invot blamed the Shaeds, Lord Halcyons race, for his sudden disappearance and executed a mass genocide, effectively wiping them out. On a stormy night in the future, a teenage Fitz woke up in the middle of a Market Town, transported from earth and his memory gone. The town was under attack by a gang lead by the body of Halcyon, a Shaed named Mystery. Fitz fought off the attackers and saved the king using an unseen, dark power. It was revealed to the hero that Mystery and his thugs, Bilix and Trishtron, were searching for the Triangulivi. This object, once obtained, would grant the user omnipotent power. When he heard this, Fitz set off on a journey to the 3 temples that housed the 3 parts of the Triangulivi. Accompanied by the bandit Ganti and the sorceress Gaudete, the young one successfully cleansed the temples of evil and traveled to Mystery’s lair to end his chaotic reign. There, it was revealed that Mystery was under a dark mind control curse, placed upon him by Bilix and that he was actually Bilixor, a powerful sorcerer from the age of Halcyon. On the consecrated ground of The Place of Mythos, Fitz fought against Bilixor, and when the sorcerer’s anger transformed him into a terrible beast, Fitz took up the Sword of the Hero and was given new stones of power called The Stones of the Champion to replace the ones that were removed by Bilixor and, assumedly, destroyed Bilixor. What happened to him is unknown. It is through this course of events that Fitz became the Champion of Invot. Three weeks later, 3 of Fitz's friends, Broakes, Mikey P, and E.D., fell into Invot also. Through a startling turn of events, Fitz was possessed by the soul of Halcyon which had finally taken over their body, who then possessed Ganti and knocked Fitz's friends into the South, East, and West. After quite a few misadventures, the trio finally found each other again and made an attack on Fitz. They weakened Fitz enough to allow for Fitz’s soul to overtake Halcyon’s soul and reclaim his body. However, this happens just before Halcyon reveals to Fitz his ultimate plan; to repopulate the Shaed race using Fitz and Ganti. The trio of friends, finally finishing the goal that they were brought to Invot for, are sent back to Earth. 9 months later, Ganti gives birth to a healthy baby boy whom they name Hal. As of now, Hal is 4 and is slowly learning to use his Shaed powers while his father is slowly learning to control Halcyon.

++++

Fitz and Halcyon can communicate both using their voices, and using think-speak while Halcyon is in Fitz's body. Think-speak is designated by the use of Italics.

When Fitz and Halcyon fight each other as soul's in Fitz's body, Halcyon uses Shadow Aura, and Fitz uses Light Aura (identical to Shadow Aura, but has a holy, light presence as opposed to a evil, dark one.

He is malevolent, and will use any means possible to get what he wants, be it pretending to be somewhat kind or annihilating entire races. He is manipulative and despicable. However after his time in full contact with Fitz, he has learned to take a more sensable, genteel approach to somethings, and has become more mischievous rather than pure evil.

Appearance: Identical to Fitz except for dark skin, eyes are fully dark, and hair is fire,

Details
Body build: Strong Build
Hair: Short in the front, long in the back
Hair color: Fire
Skin color: Dark
Eye/Iris color: Fully black
Notable Features: When Fitz is in control of his body, he is able to float around and speak with him and others, but not interact physically. He needs to be given control of the body in order to physically interact.

Clothing Description: Red V-neck with Jeans and a black trench coat.

Weapon(s)
Shaed Swords (two straight edged katana's made of shadow connected to his soul)
Sword of Halcyon: (long sword with a wide blade bearing the power of the god. It gives him unlimited energy. Unlike the Sword of the Goddesses, the Sword of Halcyon does not increase his strength as much as Fitz's blade does, due to a large difference in strength between Fitz and Halcyon. It is connected to his soul and has 3 stones embedded into it which Lord Halcyon created called the Stones of the God which grant the wielder power.
Shadow Aura: Formed and discharged portions of shadow. Depending on usage, these discharges can be destructive and can even cause cataclysmic damage depending on the ability and power of the person using them, ranging from mountains, cities, continents, planets, solar systems to galaxies. However, the downside of this is that Halcyon is destructive beyond anyone's control and Fitz cannot contain him, so Fitz has yet to allow full control. Fitz allows for spurts of control, for brief increases in power.)
Regeneration: Small wounds heal rapidly. However, he cannot use this ability for large wounds inflicted by light magic.
Extreme Speed: Focusing his Shadow Aura, Halcyon can move extremely fast. It can only be used in very short bursts, but when those bursts occur, Halcyon can move at speeds that make his movement seem instantaneous.
Flight: Halcyon has the ability to focus Shadow Aura in order to propel himself through the air. He can only perform this when he is in full control of the body. Flight is more of an increase in speed than a way of travel for Halcyon.
Equip/ Exquip: Fitz/ Halcyon can equip or exquip their weapons using shadow aura, summoning them at a vary of speeds, from instantaneous to 5 secs.

History: When Invot was first created by the 3 godessess, they created Fitzhalcyon and gave him their power so that he could rule it. However, he was corrupted by the ultimate power he was given and disowned and destroyed the godessess. He named himself Lord Halcyon and began to ravage the land. However, he was stopped by the original hero. His soul was split between pure good (Fitz) and pure evil (Halcyon) and sent into the future into Fitz's body. There he assists Fitz until he is able to take over Fitz's body, and when he does, he makes the attempt to destroy the land again. However, he is stopped by Fitz's friends and Fitz's soul. Since then, he has become less destructive and more mischievous. He also has recognized Fitz as the stronger of the 2 souls. Halcyon is able to exit the body and talk with physical people, but cannot physically touch them. If he access control of the body, Halcyon's soul becomes extremely stronger, but Fitz has not given him complete control yet. He also remembers his time as Lord Halcyon and his time as Fitzhalcyon, unlike Fitz who has no remembrance of time before his time on Earth.

Ganti met Fitz in a small forest where he protected her from the Color Guard. Ganti joined up with Fitz, initially as his bodyguard in exchange for a portion of the money they make on the journey, slowly fell in love with him. 3 weeks after they defeated Bilix, Ganti was possessed by Halcyon and assisted him in taking over. During this time, she conceived and 9 months later she gave birth to Hal. Currently, Ganti stays home raising Hal, and still sometimes goes on adventures with Fitz. She also takes on side jobs for her father as an assassin.
