It hurts my head. And kills my wallet.
I've long since decided to go ahead with Temur, and am going to run at least one of this guy Surrak Dragonclaw
The five cards that I'm definitely going to be running are:
Boon Satyr x 4
Temple of Abandon x 4
Chandra, Pyromaster x 1
Temur Ascendancy x 2-4
Rattleclaw Mystic x 4
The first three choices are based on the fact that I already own those cards (the reason I chose Temur is because most of my rares are Red/Green). And then I decided that I wanted to do as much with Boon Satyr and Temur Ascendancy as possible. And Rattleclaw Mystic because it seems absolutely necessary for Temur, and would even be fine if I reverted to Red/Green.
I actually pre-ordered those last two today. It costed $25 for a playset of Rattleclaw Mystic. I would have saved 5 bucks if I did it last week, but I'm hoping to save some dough before the predicted price raise.
Savage Knuckleblade seems like a good choice, but I'm hoping to get it for less than $5 each. And I do think the price will go down for this one in particular.
Prophet of Kruphix doesn't cost too much $, but is a pretty big commitment for a deck. It would combo with my 4 power creatures and Temur Ascendancy, but would probably force me to go more towards control or tempo instead of creature aggo. And I haven't quite decided which way I'm going to go yet.
There are a few good Mythic rares that would help, like Stormbreath Dragon, Polukranos and Clever Impersonator. But $$$.
Also a couple people have Keranos and Goblin Rabblemaster in their builds, but both of them recently shot up in price.
There's a bunch of valid options for Instants and Sorceries. Haven't decided on much of those besides Stoke The Flames.
People's lists also include Chord of Calling ($$$), but I'm considering running Yisan, the Wandering Bard insead.
Oh yeah, and I'm likely going to run four Elvish Mystic, but those are nbd.
Anyone else looking to play the new Magic Standard?
