The festival certainly was impressive. Being from a small town, Florence had never really seen anything more than a street fair. Before, he had always thought the midwest as a barren place where people sometimes farmed. Seeing something like this, though, gave him a new perspective. Maybe they were onto something, at the very least, it seemed like a more peaceful life.
He still didn't know if he even belonged here. After all, he had never seen himself fit to be a god. However, someone had to fill in for the god of Fortune, and he couldn't trust his life to just anyone. Maybe being a god wouldn't be so bad, either - He could, for once, decide what to do without financial restrictions. It wasn't surprising to see the amount of people at the festival, and it made him a little nervous. What would the competition even be? He could fight, but he wasn't the brightest. A lot of people here would surely be more qualified. But he couldn't think like that, or there would be no way he would make this trip worthwhile. Florence, pushing the negative thoughts out, went to go sign up.
