Harry Potter Slice of Life [Interest Check]

Hello!

I've been wanting to do something like this for a long time, and though there has been a few Harry Potter Slice of Life RPs, most of them all died after a few days... Anyways, the story will probably be set during the time Harry is at Hogwarts, although our characters don't have to be good friends with him. We can focus on character interactions and stuff like that, and how they feel about Harry getting all the attention and obviously being Dumbledore's favourite student.

Cast Size: 7-9 players

Frequency of Posts: At least 1 paragraph

Length of Posts: At least once every 3 days

I'm looking for people who can commit, so please don't sign up for this if you're going to quit in a few days.

@Whirlwind: No. In fact, you could make a super mean Malfoy-type character or something just to add to the mix... And as we'll probably start out following the first book, I'll have to say that the students should be first- or second-years (preferably the former), so there isn't super-advanced magic and more chara interactions. On second thought, I'm afraid I'll have to withdraw interest. It's too hard for me to get into the mindset of an 11-12 year old anymore =P I hope this takes off though and ya'll have fun!

Well, I will be honest with you- I don't know the Harry Potter world that well as some. I'm familiar with it to a sense, but I'm not by any means a super fan. However, I'm very interested in something that does not as you mentioned -die in few days-. So I will say I am interested- but I will have to also say, I might be a total noob, and you are more than welcome to yell at me if I slip up :D

@Serendipity23: Nope! The students will just be 1st-2nd years, so there won't be any super complex spells. In the books, lots of advanced spells are mentioned, but I'm pretty sure most first year students wouldn't learn those things (ya' know, 'coz Harry's special).

In this roleplay - I would imagine that we could incorporate plenty of HP facts - but are we only sticking with canon facts? Because I've seen some awesome headcanons stating that some Muggleborns hooked up some wi-fi in the Room of Requirement.
Just think: Movie marathons from netflix in Hogwarts. It would be awesome. Especially when seeing Purebloods react to epic space battles and fantasy films. XD

I like the thought of my character biting into an electric circuit and learning the absolute beginning of molding lightning.

Or something of that accord. On his own free time, he'll make his own lightning spells. They'll probably be useless and meaningless in the beginnings, though. Maybe. Is that possible, GM?

@Soul: Yup, that would be fine, as long as he doesn't spew out some 'Lightning, I summon thee' spell out of his wand or something ^^

@MiddleEarthRoze: No, I think it would be kind of boring to stick with the book stuff the whole way. And yeah, that would be pretty funny to write/read! :P
