RP General Plot:

Survival (Walking Dead RP) is an on-going story about a group of people trying to survive a zombie apocalypse.
The world we knew is gone. An epidemic of apocalyptic proportions has swept the globe causing the dead to rise and feed on the living. In a matter of months society has crumbled. In a world ruled by the dead, we are forced to survive…

Our Story

We'll be a group of around six, maybe seven people all from different backgrounds who have come together in order to survive. However anyone taking part should note that this RP will focus heavily on realism, which means you will need to eat, drink and sleep in order to function and I'll be noting who is and isn't taking care of themselves. For example if I notice that your character has gone a few days without sleep, I'll warn you that you'll start experience symptoms such as dizziness, tiredness and headaches. You will need to watch your carry weight unless you want walkers outrunning you. Everyone must all bare in mind that the way you act towards NPC's we meet in the world will have an effect either latter in the RP or in that moment of confrontation. So chose wisely and consider your friends before you act.

I would like all characters that are submitted to have an in depth background and be reasonable as well as believable. I may not ask you to present this in your CS, but I would expect a well developed character with a rich history befitting a normal person. I don't expect a novel to follow your character, just a healthy bit of information so that you can bring up some interesting developments in the IC. For example, if you're an ex cop who once shot a kid by accident, it might effect you if you happen across a child who is alone. Just for example. So really it's to help you out so you can enjoy the experience a little more and introduce you're own drama's, plots and flare to the IC. Preferably I'd like one ex military character maximum, as I'd like for most of us to be normal people.

Assuming the relationships in our group go well and we all meet up on good terms, we'd be traveling from place to place, discovering new plots, new places and maybe even new people and other groups along the way. Remember we're all trying to survive so staying in one place for too long is dangerous, especially if a cluster of walkers is moving in our direction. As a group, it will be all of our decisions for where we go and in what direction we move, you may appoint a leader if you want to once we're IC, however until then we'll probably want to go on a majority vote type of thing.

Finally, you may add in your own plots at any time. Anything massive should probably be ran by me so we can talk about how to comfortably fit it in, but if you have an idea feel free to put it in there. The choices you make and the things we do will have an effect on what happens to us as a group, so bare this in mind at all times when confronted with situations.

5) RPs with a lack of communication die, so I'd appreciate it if we all got to know each other, besides it's more fun to RP with someone you can call friend.
6) If you vanish for a week without warning I'll send a PM and give you three days to respond. If you don't then I'm sorry. If you ask in advance though then that won't be a problem.

Personality:

Despite her young age, Leah seems to demonstrate an intelligence and maturity that goes beyond what her age suggests. However, at heart she is still a young girl and because of this she is prone to trusting too easily as well as becoming quite frightened when confronted with dangerous situations with walkers or other people she doesn't know. She's seen much more than a girl her age should ever have to and because of this she has been forced to mature earlier in order to survive her environment. Because of her age, Leah doesn't hide her emotions very well which means it'll be quite clear if she dislikes or likes an individual, she also seems to lack fear in certain situations when dealing with people, which is to say she will be outspoken if she feels you're being an ass. It depends on the situation and whether she feels threatened or not and on occasion she can sometimes pretend she'd not afraid when actually she is.

Bio:

Leah was traveling with her parents after the outbreak hit, having gathered their things and hitting the road as soon as possible. For a while it seemed that was all they were doing, bouncing from place to place as the world gradually descended into hell. They had set off from Birmingham but by the time they'd hit New Orleans it was already a level nine catastrophe. They'd gone there in hopes the coast was safer, which was true for the most part. However it wasn't long before people began getting desperate and more of those things began to appear, eating, never sleeping. Her mother died during a situation at a superstore where they'd taken refuge with some other survivors. Leah was separated from her father and sister since then.

Personality:Travis is a man whose in it for himself, he cares about no one but himself, but is capable of working in a group as his preivious occupation required it, he has a soft spot for kids always going out of his way to help them, a thinker and a fighter, and people can tell just by looking at him he's a conflicted soul
Bio: Travis was born into a broken home and a broken family, his father leaving and his mother marrying his step father just made it worse, he still refuses to talk about what happened in his household. But it haunts him and sometimes he wakes up screaming,somewhere later in his life he fell in with the wrong crowd and became a bank robber. Something he was doing until the start of the outbreak. Where he was found by survivors and taken in.

Graham is a cautious and wary man. He prefers to do what is safer for the group rather than what may be better, but riskier. He has it in his head that he could drop anyone if things got bad but to tell the truth, he'd probably only leave some people if he had to and try to save the ones he liked.
Bio:
Graham was born and raised in Aberdeen, Scotland. He was raised for the most part by his mother and father up until he turned 16 and dropped out of highschool. After that, he decided to go up north to the highlands to work with his uncle on his farm. He attended agriculture college for a few months before he went up, but his uncle ultimately decided it was better he just learn on the job. He worked there for a few months before he found something really fun to do on the farm. A fox had gotten into the chicken pen and was becoming a big nuisance. His uncle decided it was time to teach Graham how to hunt, small shotguns were of course legal in the UK and were used by many farmers to take care of foxes. His uncle taught him how to hide himself and how to move silently amongst the foliage. He got rid of the fox and worked with his father up until the age of 26. It was at that point he met the girl of his dreams, an American who charmed Graham and eventually convinced him to move to America a few years later when her Visa ran out. He got a job there in construction, and made a few friends with the local deer hunting club and sold the deer meat and furs as a part time job. He would do this for another 9 years before the outbreak would occur. During the outbreak his wife died in a car crash that happened when they were escaping the city. Graham made his own way after that.

Personality: Jason is a perfectionist. While that sounds like it would definitely not translate well into the situation that has befallen society now, it does allow him to stay alive. He tends to think about little details, things that others would not think about while they are too busy focusing on surviving against the horde, such as keeping as clean as one can in such dirty circumstances, and minute details about how they can do tasks efficiently around camp. He has always bee very practical about these things. Unfortunately, this means that he takes time to do things, just to make sure they are done right, and this can possibly be his downfall. Other than that, Jason is a hard-working, caring guy who wants to be as useful as he possibly can, and he tries very hard to keep people from internal conflicts, because he knows that it could become the end of everyone.
Bio: Jason was born and raised in a small town somewhere in the US (Depending on which area of the US we'll start in). He had always been one to pay attention to details and was very interested in the way things fit together around the house, and how without one element, the others would fall apart. His pedantic nature was probably taken from his mother. Eventually, as he grew older, he moved away from the house and went on to study architecture in New York, whilst his younger brother Alex stayed back at home with mom and dad to go to school. Jason was a very good student at University, and called home frequently to talk to his family, as he was very close to them, especially with Alex. He decided to travel back home to visit for a week around his birthday, and that's when the outbreak hit. He had been searching for his lost brother ever since it began, and had to see his mother and father die in front of him. (I tried very hard not to reveal too much.)

Personality: Michael is usually a compassionate and kind-hearted man, but due to the terrifying events of the past few months, is capable of detachment and distrust to strangers whom he believes to be a threat to himself and others close to him. Though he is able to keep calm and collected in the face of latent panic, when the situation becomes frighteningly disastrous, Michael's state of mind is often seen to devolve into panic and - sometimes subconsciously - defer the decision-making to a more confident person. It could be that this is due to his relatively young age and consequential inexperience of handling dire situations of such extremes. Despite this, he is caring and protective when it comes to his friends. He can generally handle fear with a sense of duty and motivation rather than freezing up.

Bio: Michael was born to a relatively normal life in America. From a rather young age, he was interested in joining the medical profession, no doubt this was partly due to his father being insistent in doing so, having a career in medicine himself. The outbreak began while Michael was still a Medical Student, so obviously he never fully completed his medical training, though he is confident in the skills he has learned.

In the early days of the outbreak Michael spent a short amount of time with a small group of other students, the entire group were either killed by bandits for the few supplies they had or - like Michael - were chased off to survive on their own. Several days later, starved and tired, Michael came across a seemingly friendly survivor who gave him a small amount of food and a place to sleep. Michael awoke some hours later with the survivor about to bring down a hatchet on him, which lead into a violent struggle for it. Eventually Michael managed to get the upper hand and brutally hacked the attacker to death. Shortly after, Michael took the hatchet and whatever else the hostile survivor had on him and made his way in hopes of less murderous survivors. He's been travelling ever since.

Hatchet (Stolen by Michael during a violent struggle with a violent survivor over supplies, was later used to kill said survivor)

Personality: George is very intelligent and always had an amazing academic record but in terms of practical things he is the biggest idiot that pretty much ever roamed the earth. Before the breakout, he couldn't even make a cup of tea. But he has a will of iron and learns fast, and although is easily startled, once he has decided to do something he won't ever give up. He mood swings a lot, from hyper and cheerful to quiet and sullen. But one thing that always remains the same about him is that he's a massive dork, which he often gets teased about.
When he was 13 he made friends with Theo, and since then they've been very close. Although not his best friend, George chose Theo to come along to the States, and they were stranded there ever since. George, although knowing almost everything about Theo, isn't aware that he has crush on him.

Bio: He was born and lived in London all his life, but his family were originally from Hong Kong. His dad, being an important businessman, often went to the States, and one summer the whole Hui family flew over to the US for a holiday along with his friend Theo. With some stellar timing, the breakout happened, and George was stranded ever since. His sister and father were quickly infected, and his mother was kidnapped by a group of bandits. He's still searching for her.

Weapon of Choice: He's not really one for fighting, and generally leaves that to Theo. However he does have a knife that he can shank walkers at close quarters with.
