Ops, my mistake. Bing is no longer in the role-play, so you don't have anyone in your timezone as of yet, Reaper =<

It's good to know each other's timezones, so we can plan future events. =3
While we wait for the GM post, why don't we strike up a conversation here? The OOC isn't only for role-play orientated discussions, you know.
How have you all been? Anything interesting you're currently watching or reading? I haven't gotten into anything from anime fall season 2014, but I did watch summer 2014's most intriguing anime, Zankyou no Terror. At first, I thought it would be a hit, but once the anime ended and I had a bigger view of the picture, it appears that it had a wonderful starts, a downfall in the middle and a crash at the end, all because of how "very Japanese" the writers were.

I would love to talk in depth about my thoughts on anime of this year (and it's subsequent seasons) as well as 2013, but I really should be going to bed! I was convinced by my household to stay up watching movies and such so I am rather beat. I will post this as a discussion point if you want to use it as a springboard when I log back on! I keep my log fairly up-to-date for my third favorite hobby. (Writing is number uno, and Music is the first runner up for conversations sake)

Also, I recall you guys mentioning a skype group once but I might be too tired and thinking of a completely different RP...

I usually stick to manga rather than anime myself, but I've found a few series this year that I really like. Chief among them is (warning, butchering of the Japanese language ahead) Nanatsu no Taizan, but Assassination Classroom is also a good one.

I think there WAS one anime that I was going to track down and watch, but by thunder can I not remember the name or anything about it now that I'm on the spot...

My favorite anime of the year includes Haikyuu!!, No Game No Life, Noragami, and Mikakunin de Shinkoukei (which imo had the best OP of its season and maybe the entire year. I’m still in the process of catching up with a bit of the year, but I think I’ve been current a lot more than some of my friends who are into the medium.

1. This question has already been thoroughly discussed several pages back. I suggest you go ahead and read it. The short version is: so long as the attack is direct, the Guardian won't be damaged.

2. Thus far we have only two Blackwaters. I think a third will be alright, but a fourth would be a bit too much. Make sure to give a detailed description on what the character's place is in the family tree.

3. The first description I gave to the Archmage of Ferros was the following:
"The man with the tall hat had turned out to be the Archmage himself. A stoic strong man he was, as big as the mountains he was raised in, with blond hair, short beard and sharp icy eyes, which scanned the perimeter coldly, but seemed to have a different spark when looking at his wife and new son. "
Brand never made any suggestions to change that and took the appearance on to their post. Thus I imagine a mage has plenty of possibilities when it comes to appearance, but of course it depends on genetics and the time they have spent training their body.
Depending on what kind of magic you wield, I imagine the caster's body changes accordingly. For instance, if a magician was a pyromancer, they would have a tan. If they were a geomancer, they would definitely have a strong musculature. Skye is an aeromancer, who loves to use his magic to fly and perform aerial attacks. This makes him flexible and agile, but also a bit thinner, since weight still counts when in the air.

4. They were most likely common during the war, but they are now less. However, since we do not have a possessed character at the moment, you're free to make one.

5. The explanation is on the very first page. You can pick a maximum of two types of magics from the two categories, restos and destros.

All of this is pretty correct. For number three especially, whatever kind of magic you weild doesn't really affect how you look, but how you use it does. For example a Airomancer who uses magic to do crazy stunts would probably be flexible, a geomancer who uses his magic to build stuff would probably be a bit bigger... etc.
For number four, Demonic possessions correlate directly to the number of Necromancers roaming the realm and passing back and forth through the 'Gates of Death' seen in 'How Necromancy Works'. So yes, during Malfear's war Demonic possessions were happening (although it was still a VERY rare occurrence). So currently there is next to no demonic influence in the world.

I have another question: Would it be possible to have nobles hire mages to train their son who has shown magic abilities? Like house mages and stuff? Basically, my character was not killed because he was off somewhere else being secretly trained to control his magical abilities, and the mages found out about the treachery and kept him hidden as he was trained over the years.

Yes, it's possible. Pretty much the better you write something in your Bio, or the more believable you make it, the more inclined I will be to accept it.

Also, The Mad Hatter may be joining us, as she expressed interest back when I closed the Interest Check off, and I asked her to come aboard back when Bing and Phantom left the RP. I'm fine with Nerendier joining the cast as well, as it seems like people have taken a liking to him, but the RP is absolutely closed to any more players. We're already juggling quiet a handful and while I think we can manage it I don't want us to take on any more.

I've gone back and read the OC and PMs I've missed, but if you still have any questions or concerns PM me and Headphones, or bring it up in the OOC. Haha, now that I've caught up on all the OOC and PM stuff I can start reading through the ICs again haha.

~It's cold up here~

I don't suggest starting a Skype group, since I've done that in the past and, while Skype is very useful, you lose the sense that you are supposed to role-play, because your attention is directed towards Skype and not to the guild. I believe it's best to stay focused here for the time being.

Animes I watched this year were:
1.Noragami [amazing anime] [followed as it aired]
2. Zankyou no Terror [ good beginning-meh middle-er ending] [followed as it aired]
3. Kuroshitsuji: Book of Circus [ Finally, they fixed the story] [followed as it aired]
4. Free: Eternal Summer [I know, I know, it's ridiculous, but I had to see just how more ridiculous it gets] [followed as it aired]
5. Pupa [ NEVER AGAIN. DON'T WATCH IT. JUST DON'T.] [regrets about completing it]
6. Nagi no Asukara [ sweet story] [followed as it aired]
7. Glasslip [dropped so I can't comment about it] [wasn't interested enough to see it through, but will watch it later]
8. Mekaku City Actors [Total letdown. The story overall wasn't interesting to me (I like the songs, but not the story), but that doesn't change the fact it was awfully made] [followed barely as it aired]
9. Tokyo Ghoul [on hold, because I'm not in the mood]
10. Donten ni Warau [ I suddenly remember this is supposed to be airing right now...*runs off to watch*]

There's probably something I'm forgetting, but oh well. The list is long anyways XD

Well I've just been watching random anime that I've been wanting to catch for a while now but never really had the time to.

I finished Akuma no Riddle, last week along with PsychoPass. No Game No Life was fun to watch. I'm catching up on Book 3 of Legend of Korra right now, and I'm thinking of either Akame ga Kill or Symphogear next. Or maybe I'll go back and watch Saiyuki.

Also, I'm all for you guys adding me on Skype, I'm rarely online though.

Animes... I wish I understood most of those you are talking about, but I don't xD. (Mind you, I know what animes are, but I don't watch a lot of them.)
