[OOC] Life as a Soldier: Life on base (OOC)

This is the OOC, from the interest check. I hope all those interested make it over here.

The basis of this roleplay, follows the life of a Soldier. The Setting will be Afghanistan, and a one of the biggest multi-national camp.

We'll follow the day to day lives of each of these soldiers. The good, bad and the ugly.

NAME Margaret (Maggie) Andrea Shepard

AGE 24

RANK O-1 Lieutenant

BIO Maggie was Born in Wetumpka Alabama 24 years ago. Her Father was a pilot employed by WSFA 12 News Montgomery, Alabama and her Mother a Thoracic Surgeon.
The youngest of three daughters Maggie was a precocious child loved by her family.
She would go aloft with her dad every chance she got and by the age of 16 could handle a chopper as good as any other pilot
At 17 Maggie attended Georgia Tech on an ROTC scholarship where she graduated 43 in her class. From there she was sent to the 110th Sqdn at Fort Rucker Alabama.
Trained to fly rotor aircraft Maggie now flies a OH-58D Kiowa Warrior,used to in an armed reconnaissance role in support of ground troops.

OTHER Maggie is a fitness buff who enjoys competing in Marathons. Her other physical hobbies also include Power lifting and practicing Krav maga

Bio:A second generation Russian-American Nathanael grew up in the Bronx in New York, his parents tried their hardest to give him a good life, but they were poor and broke, as Nathanael grew older his mother got sicker, when he was about twenty she got so sick that they took her into the hospital with no hope of paying, they diagnosed her with cancer. Nathanael didn't see many ways out except the military so he signed up so he could help pay his mother's medical bills, he signed a six year contract with the army and joined 3d Calvary as a Humvee operator. So far he has only served four of his six years.

Bio: James joined the U.S Army straight out of school. The Army wasn't his only option, he just wanted to do this. James didn't want to just join as an Officer, and have no experience in leading, after all, how can one expect others to follow his lead, if he was green. James joined from the bottom, working his way up the ranks, and eventually given charge of his own platoon, under his leadership, his men have made it home. So far, but he keeps a tight reign over stupidity, and any unnecessary heroism, is seen with punishment. Act stupid, and you're out. James has every other soldier to look after, not just one. It's his third tour of duty in Afghanistan. He's nearly used to the heat.

The Marines have no Marine Corpsmen in fact by her. Being called a Corpsman instead of a Pharmacist mate it indicates she's assigned to the Marines

Bio: Kevin's a good old Southern boy at heart, born in Lubbock, Texas. His first rifle he ever held was a Winchester .22 lever action, which is what he used when his dad took him dove hunting. From then on, he became a good shot with almost any gun. In high-school, he always won first prize in the skeet and target shooting competitions, and he was also a damn good deer hunter. It seemed really shooting was the only thing he was good at, so after he graduated high school, Kevin enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and joined the Scout Sniper Basic Course, where he passed a few ranks below the other recruits. Afterwards, he soon saw action in Iraq in 2006, where he gained his first kill on the battlefield, a child with an AK-47. The event haunted Kevin throughout his military career, but he stayed strong. Kevin never views his self as a hero or above others. For him, it isn't about politics or glory or whatever. He's just mainly looking out for his brothers in arms.
