(Edit: Missed some things, and another for details.)
Name: Roas Drasle
Age: 29
Height: 6' 2"
Weight: 240 lbs (No armor)
Physical Description: Standing taller than an average human, his dark cyan hair is cut short and unkempt. Scars cover nearly all of his body, telling tales of past battles both won and lost. Three particularly deep scars run down the left side of his face, partially hidden behind a white cloth eye patch. Farther down, one could see the heavy steel plate mail he wore nearly at all times. It was crafted of Steel and Mythril. Forged by a master smith, it had survived countless battles, shrugging off sword blows and arrowheads with relative ease.
Psychological Description: While he is not the smartest person, Roas has courage and tenacity to make up for it. He keeps a calm demeanor at nearly all times, but can speak with a commanding voice. He will always try to talk his way out of a fight first, as he has made many allies this way. However, he is also eager to fight, so failing a first attempt at diplomacy will most certainly lead to combat. Oddly, he has also made just as many allies with the second method. Roas sees combat as as a test of skill and likes to keep the playing field as fair as possible, tending to look down upon despicable tactics.
Tier: With Dragonslayer: 4. Without Dragonslayer: 2
Powers/Abilities/Skills: On his own, Roas ranks among the strongest swordsmen that have ever lived, able to swing a great sword with the speed and precision that Knights could only dream about, but he was still only just above the greatest that a human could achieve. However, with The Dragonslayer in his hands, he rose even above that. The sword increases his human strength and his skin hardens like thick leather. So long as he is near the weapon, he has the strength to lift nearly 1 ton. With or without his blade, Roas has put little training into running or sprinting, and can only run up to 20 mph on level ground.
He is a skilled swordsman and relies on heavy swings and quick wits to keep his opponent within striking distance of his blade. He has access to powerful fire magic, but tends to prefer his steel unless attacked at a range.
His dragon blood grants another passive skill, resistance to extreme weather. While The Dragonslayer is near him, his blood runs much warmer than a normal human. This keeps his body warm in sub-zero temperatures. In the presence of extreme heat, his blood helps to even out and distribute it, causing Roas' body to feel unaffected up to 200° F.
The spells he has at his disposal, while limited in number, are made of pure Dragon fire. Unlike normal flames, Dragon fire cannot be extinguished by water or lack of oxygen and burns twice as hot, though dissipates rather quickly. It reaches temperatures up to 3500° F.
SpellsIxen Bluthel - 1 tick. Fires a small bolt of Dragon fire, exploding on contact with no lingering flames. Only effects target.
Ixen Dos - 2 ticks. Creates a five foot square wall of dragon fire directly in front of him. Pressure from the flames forces objects upward, should they try to pass through it. Lasts 2 ticks and leaves lingering flames on the ground.
Ixen Fethos - 3 ticks. Creates a dome of dragon fire in a five foot radius around Roas' fist, forcing him to be crouched to use it. Lasts 2 ticks and must be focused during that time. Leaves lingering flames at the edge of the dome.
Ixen Garmth - 4 ticks. Forms and fires a large ball of explosive dragon fire that arcs towards the target before erupting in a twenty five foot diameter blast. Cannot charge any dragon fire for three ticks after use. Leaves lingering flames on the ground in the blast radius.
Addition: Lingering Flames - Any non-liquid substance in direct contact with dragon fire becomes afflicted with lingering flames unless otherwise stated. Lingering Flames cause severe burns and dissipate on their own after 2 ticks.
Equipment:The Dragonslayer - The Legendary blade forged by Bahamut and gifted to a brave Dragon Knight in the Battle with Tiamat. Passed down through the centuries until it reached Roas' hands. The Blade can take a number of different forms, each one increasing its power by a small margin. The Blade also serves as the source of Roas' Draconic magic. Without the blade, the warrior would become much weaker. Each form of the blade takes 1 tick to complete, and they must be done in order.
The Dragonslayer's first and default form is that of a wide bladed great sword, six feet in length.
The second form takes the name
Dragonbuster. The blade shortens down to five feet and increase in width as the blade shapes itself like a flame. This form increases the strength of Roas' fire magic by fifty percent.
The third form,
Raserei, yields a much wider blade. As its weight is increased, so is its striking power, increasing Roas' max force by fifty percent.
Einlanzer, the fourth form, takes the shape of an exquisite flamberge. Decreasing its weight considerably from its previous form, and increasing Roas' speed by fifty percent.
The final form,
Ragnarok, is the most powerful form that Roas can wield. While it takes the greatest toll on him to unleash, it increases his power, strength, and speed by one hundred percent. However, he cannot keep the weapon summoned for long, and it can only be done in dire circumstances. The form can only be sustained for a max of 5 ticks. When it is dispelled, the sword returns to its default and Roas' abilities are diminished by 50% for 3 ticks.
Knight's Plate: Forged by a master blacksmith, this armor covers all of Roas' body with the exception of his head. Lightweight and durable, it does not hinder his precise movement. Through years of training while wearing the armor, he can jump and roll without penalty or injury. It is custom built to fit his body, and would not be as effective if worn by another.
Loot ItemsRilirki - A small hand crossbow built onto a bracer. Worn on the forearm, it is loaded by hand and has a simple trigger mechanism. A string tied to the trigger release, with a small ring on the opposite end. Can be fired with a finger gesture when the ring is worn.
Draconic Tome - An ancient book written entirely in an ancient Draconic language. Should one be able to read such a language, it would recount the tale of a Great War against a vicious Dracolich and state the names and abilities of a number of Draconic artifacts and weapons of great power.
Emblem of the Hawk - A small steel badge with a curious symbol on it. It matches some of the finer details of Roas' armor.
History:
Born as the son of a simple lumberjack, Roas was not meant for any greatness. His Grandfather, however, was a powerful Wizard. He was the descendant of a Great Silver Dragon who fought in an ancient war between Bahamut and Tiamat. However, countless generations had diluted his Dragon blood, and though he was powerful, his powers could only be used with the blessings of Bahamut. These blessings came in the form of The Dragonslayer, a mystic sword that could alter its shape to suit its wielder. The Wizard Douel Drasle sought to overthrow the rule of an evil Dragon Tyrant named Keela, and with The Dragonslayer's power, Douel trapped Keela in a painting, hoping to end the tyranny for good.
Peace lasted for eighty years. Douel married a young woman named Liela, and they lived happily together for the rest of their years. Their oldest son, Xemn, had no taste for the city life, and eventually made a name for himself in a small forest village as a lumberjack. There, he met a young elf woman named Meyna, and they later married and had two children. Roas, the elder son; and Lyll, the younger daughter. By this time, Douel and Jiela had grown old and moved out of the city themselves, to help take care of their grandchildren.
Over time, however, it became clear that Keela was not fully defeated. Monsters began to swarm the decrepit castle of the Dragon King, and the seal that was placed on the painting was sure to fail. The world's only hero, Douel, was far too old to fight against the upcoming threat, and the diluted bloodline of the Dragon meant his powers were not passed on to his son, Xemn. However, the powers were passed to his grandchildren.
From an early age, Roas was taught how to fight. Learning everything he needed from his parents and grandparents. His father taught him how to wield a blade and maneuver in combat, as well as how to command and rally allies and soldiers. His mother taught him how to use nearly forgotten elven techniques to restore the wounds of himself and his allies, all using the draconic magic that rested within him. His grandfather taught him powerful fire magic and spells to aid him in battle. His grandmother taught him the language of the Dragons, to converse with and persuade dragons into powerful allies. Though most of what he learned was intended to defeat Keela once and for all, he learned many other useful skills. Carpentry and honor from his father, Music and song from his mother, the legends and tales of ages long past from his grandfather, and kindness and compassion from his grandmother.
Lyll was nearly two years younger than Roas, so by the time she became old enough to train, it was clear she would not be ready in time. The burden fell onto Roas at ten years old to defeat the Dragon King, and while he was not alone in his fight, he was the only one who could wield The Dragonslayer.
During the battle with Keela, Roas was beaten to near death, but managed to defeat the Dragon Wizard. However, with his last breath, Keel opened a dimensional rift and Roas was banished from his home world. He awoke in a peaceful village on a world far different from his own. A would that was plunged into war shortly after, forcing Roas to give up on searching for a way back home. He spent years fighting and training, eventually starting and leading a Mercenary group that became known for their combat prowess and tactics. He honed his sword skills and draconic spells, becoming a powerful warrior until the day he fought and defeated an Ancient Black Dragon that had plagued the world for centuries.
He was at his peak strength, and it seemed someone wanted to test that in the arena.
