I had thanksgiving dinner Saturday because I'll be outbof town.

Also, fun fact: Canadian Thanksgiving predates American Thanksgiving by like 40 years.

Canadian Thanksgiving also makes a whole lot more sense, datewise, as a celebration of the year's harvest than American Turkey/Football Day.

People are more likely to work Sunday than Monday. Monday is a statutory holiday.

Guess it depends on the line of work.
My parents work often don't account for holidays, so often times things have to be rescheduled for weekends, exception being Christmas.
