I was thinking a casual RP in the future...
How the war started;
Over time, United States became close allies with Brazil, France, and the United Kingdom. Also over time, Russia became close allies with Japan, Canada, China and Asia. Russia, since Modern times, grew very largely in power and became a very large threat. Due to power hungry leaders going to power in Russia, Russia began spreading. It did so by having a leader that was very Hitler-esq, and believed that Russia had the supplies to become the total-world dominators, with the only country/continent/major power being Russia. After Russia began spreading and eventually even turned on it's allies of Japan and Asia and conquering them, the other countries of the World realized the major threat that Russia was very much a large threat and powerhungry conquerer, so they allied together and most of the major countries that are left gathered together and declared war on Russia, causing WWIII. The only current Ally Russia has is China, and they now work together to conquer.
How There is a Protected Area:
In the north of America, a plain field was found by civilians. They then set-up, starting to build a town. This area was hidden, far from major cities. Throughout the building, the founder of this town was named "Diane Dick". She was sort-of a law breaker, and knew how to build guns and other types of weaponry. She sells them at the town hall. This is why hitmen started to rise in the town. It has no specific name, but most people call it "Fort Grey-wall". Other jobs exist, like the ones you'd find in a normal town. There are also builders that help make these futuristic improvements.
Improvements:
Automatic cars (cars that drive you places automatically, no need to touch a wheel!)
Robots that can well... do things for you. (not sapient)
Higher tec weaponry. (automatic shotguns w/ high accuracy, normal shotguns w/ high accuracy, etc. not all of it has to do with shotguns.
Robotic hands, basically mixed as a gun. (Activation causes half of the finger to split in half, showing the firing hole. Fires when the person thinks about firing, and where on his/her fingers.)
