Sin City. A Gambler's Paradise. All of them are names to the large city in the deserts of Nevada: Las Vegas. Las Vegas was at first a Mormon fort, and then it was founded as a city in the 1900s. It grew from a small population of construction workers, working on the Hoover Dam, to a tourism capital in the 50s. Now millions of people flood Las Vegas to have the fun of a life time or to get a second chance at life. After all, it is also called the "Capital of Second Chances"...
Jacob Calbert opened up the window curtains in his hotel room and he breathes it in as he saw the city's lights. It was night time in Vegas and time to go outside of the hotel. He then walked towards the suitcases and grabbed one of them and opened them up, he grabbed his night clothes to changed into them.
He hasn't been to Las Vegas ever since his twenty-first birthday, where he got drunk from his first time. It was a time in his life, where he didn't care about the world and just wanted to party all day and all night long. Now that he has graduated from college, his life has changed from a crazy one to a calm lifestyle.
He got done getting his clothes on and picked up his wallet and cellphone as he rushed towards the door and opened as he set off outside of his room. He closed once he got out of the room and walked towards the elevator, where he met a couple of other people. The people were in their thirty or forties, most likely gamblers that are looking from quick cash to spend. Jacob stool in the elevator as he listened towards the people talking about their day, what food they wanted to eat, whatever they were talking about. Jacob didn't care about the people and as soon as the elevator stopped and the people began to leave it, he sighed in happiness. He then stepped out of the elevator and saw the people walking on the 'boulevard'.
He had almost forgotten about the crowd of people staying or just looking at the Paris Hotel. He kept walking to find a way out of the hotel lobby and couldn't see anything due to the people and the decorations blocking his sight. Oh how Jacob missed that feeling. The crowds of people were going somewhere and they were all different from each other: from a couple with their two kids to two young adults, hoping to have the best time of their lives. He heard echoes of voices; it felt like that he could hear everyone in the world talking at once.
He kept walking until he saw the replica of the famous Eiffel Tower and walked outside, where the night light bright the city. He smiled again at the sight of the lights from the building across the busy avenues. Jacob was hungry and he looked around from somewhere to eat and began to walk again from the place to eat.
