I find myself continuously bored and searching for a warm atmosphere and friendly conversation, so I decided to create a place for just that. I'm an avid coffee drinker, but I invite people of all favored beverages to join me here. Whether your drink of choice is tea, cocoa, or Red Bull or some other non-caffeinated liquid you're quite welcome here.

Now sit down with your favorite drinkable fluid and make yourself comfortable. Talk about yourself, talk about other people, talk about the newest season of Doctor Who, talk about your deep thoughts, talk about your role-plays. Any topic of conversation is fine, friendly debate too but if you find yourself getting worked up over something please take it to PM with the person-in-question so as not to disrupt the mood for the rest of us.

If you're like me you suck at starting a conversation, so I'll step out of my comfort zone for once and start off with: Hi, I'm Clirkus, I'm a college student who enjoys coffee and chill conversation with chill people. I laugh at my own jokes 'cause I'm so darned hilarious and I'm terrified of spiders. If I grow up I want to be a published author because I love writing stories and I want other people to enjoy the creations of my imagination. I aim to entertain and my friends would all tell you I'm the class clown. I like meeting new people and being spontaneous, and at the moment I have a lot of homework that I'm pointedly not doing.

Hello, I'm Teri otherwise known as Balthazar. High school student in sunny Southern Africa. I enjoy coffee, but I don not enjoy caffeine. I don't fact check, and I enjoy socialising in all - slash that - most social classes. I am currently sitting in my english class bored out my mind and typing this up instead of working on my practise exam paper. I have horizontal scars on my neck from when a horse I rode 2 years ago took me into a tree cutting open my vulnerable skin. Currently listening to Girls Just want to have fun by Cyndi Lauper. I think that's how you spell it. I'm a lover far more than a party go-er. I'll happily spend more time with my beloveds having fun, compared to getting sweaty in any kind of crowd.

In terms of Doctor who - Moffat has disappointed me and I got really exited to hear Clara's leaving only to see she's still here.
Exams start in 3 weeks, and it's 49 days until school breaks up then on the 13th I'm going cosplaying! Whoop!

So, eh, hey I guess. I'm Desk Lamp, but you can just call me...uh, I don't have a nickname actually. I'm a highschooler in Asia, though I have spent a majority of my life in America. (WOO USA! USA! USA!) In fact, this is my first time coming home to Asia in, what, ten years?

I'm a reader of odd and obscure books provided cheaply by the trusty local secondhand bookstore, the speaker of two and a half languages, and an obsessor over the supernatural and strange (even if it scares the living oompaloompas outta me). Admittedly, I ain't a Social Sally. I'm pretty reserved when I'm not in my element, but can be pretty chatty around close friends and family.
I like to draw, and hope to become a cartoonist or videogame designer one day. If that doesn't work, my Plan B is to become a chef. If that doesn't work, Plan C is to take over the world and open up a portal to the dark world of Tirgoszonia to enslave all of humanity. :)
Right now, I'm writng this on my glitchy phone while pretending to be asleep even though my curfew is still a good chunk away...yeah..

I have not caught up to Dr. Who X_X Just on the second season, gah.

Moffat is a brilliant writer but I don't like what he's done with a lot of the characters. Though I did like Clara she was a bit too perfect. Also Balthazar for some reason I thought you were from the UK, but South Africa huh? That's cool.

And who doesn't like cosplaying? I seize any opportunity to wear a costume. I've been working on an Assassin's Creed outfit but progress is slow since my sewing machine is broken.

The beauty is that you can talk about both. I'm a fan of any northern dark roast, usually have at least one cup every morning with 1 cream and 2 sugars, though I will drink it black if that's not available to me and I'm also not opposed to going to a coffee shop somewhere ans getting one of those frufru "whit girl" lattes or cappuccinos with lots of whipped cream and other stuff that's not goor for you.

I am a Whoovian, but have not been watching much of the newest season yet simply because when I watch Doctor Who I like to Marathon it.
But first and foremost I am a Gamer, favourite titles being Walking Dead, Mass Effect, Wolf Among (I'm a sucker for Story > Gameplay), but also enjoy games such as Civ 5, Planetside 2, XCOM, FTL etc.
I also watch some anime, favourites being Death Note, Usagi Drop, Clannad and Fate Zero.

Ace, Lazy Asian, community college Freshman who also is a tea junkie. My SO buys me big jugs of the stuff to keep at his house for when I'm over. Use to drink the fresh stuff but have reverted to the bottled kind, hence the lazy. Spiders aren't my thing. If they are on the ceiling or the walls I will grab the vacuum and make it go away. I enjoy long walks at the park and many hours of videogames and binge Netflixing. I like cats.

Just watched "Flatline" earlier today and I got to say...I was both proud and furious at Clara. I'm all for her and Danny and would be crushed if she messed that up. I have this one

I wish I could cosplay man. But I lack the money and occasion XD though I guess you don't really need an occasion...the only "cosplay" I guess I've made are Squirtle (I'm proud of the shell) Sophomore year in HS and a Chell outfit I made a few days ago consisting of only two tank tops and sweats.

Fandoms aside, I'm also a devoted gamer. If not for school and sanity, I would be a full-time gamer...

I completely get from a design perspective how important gameplay is, it should not at all be neglected.
It's just that for me personally, gameplay will always take a backseat to story (especially Story that provides choice) for me. Largely for those emotion roller coasters it can give you.
Plus those that provide choice their ability to have you make tough and hard moral decisions is amazing,

Mass Effect does it well by giving you all the time you need to think, you are really able to sit and think about it. Learning more about yourself in the process.
Walking Dead and Wolf Among us do it well by doing the total opposite, giving you a brief timer to react so you're forced to make snap decisions and live with the consequences just like it would be in real life.

Cosplaying get's a lot cheaper if you improvise with materials from home and/or shopping at discount and used clothing stores.

And yes I've played To The Moon, that was such an incredible game too. Definitely in my Top 5 games in terms of effective storytelling.

Hey! Well, I wasn't planning on posting here until I saw that Desk is from the Philippines, and it's always good to find a fellow.. whatever you call a person that's in the same country as you... Countryman? Nationmate? Whatever.

Anyway, call me Spencer. I'm a college student from the Philippines and an avid lover of coffee (I have about three cups on an average day). I see that there's a bunch of gamers here. I've often found that I prefer watching people play rather than playing myself. I have no idea why, but their expressions when playing are hilarious. Plus, I get to see the story line and still be surprised at stuff. It's like watching a movie or my favourite tv show.

Speaking of TV shows, how badass is the Walking Dead? Carol is obviously my queen.

*settles into chair* Ah, been pretty hectic y'know. I'm also a tad undecided. My current roleplay is taking up a lot of my time to GM, but there are a lot more others that catch me eye. Medieval fantasy, ta say the least. I've also been contemplating setting up a CHERUB rp, but I don't think that would be fair to my players, y'know, and all that.

I feel ya man, I'm just so busy all the time, my poor players :( (Rax I know you're reading this and you know this is as close as I'm going to get to apologising) at least I just quit my job so I will shortly be having alot more time on my hands
