Yolanda Grieg looked up at the house that was to be her home for who knew how long. Her parents stood nearby, chattering to one another, keeping only a minimal watch on how the movers were handling their furniture and breakable objects.

She slipped inside the house between two movers struggling with a couch. It was a big house, that much she could credit. Yolanda smiled a little at the thought of having a bigger bedroom; there may even be a spare room for her to put all her extra things in.

Walking up the stairs, she glanced up and down the hall, seeing three doors to her left and right. Six rooms? She was definitely getting a spare room. A grin formed but quickly faded when she saw a string hanging from the ceiling to her left.

Yolanda walked somewhat tentatively toward it; as she drew closer she saw that it was the drawstring to open the entrance to an attic. This discovery rekindled her grin and she eagerly reached up and pulled, jumping back slightly as a ladder appeared at alarming speed.

Coughing at the stale taste of dust, she peered up into the gloomy attic. It wasn't as dark as she had expected and she guessed that there was possibly an uncovered window up there. Glancing around for a few moments, she hastily ascended the ladder, stepping up into the attic.

The attic was gloomy and dark and nothing much up there then some old stuff of the house but something else was up there, a thick leather book she would see on a lone bookshelf reading, Spells of the Demons. An ancient witch of the house had used that book once to summon a demon that no human in their right mind would ever want touch, or even be near. this book summoned a powerful servant of death himself.

In the book the girl would find spells and more spells and strange words that wouldn't make much sense to her since they where very old spells. Only one spell she woukd be able to say and a spell to summon a personal demon.

Yolanda looked around the attic, taking in the sight of old furnishings and mothball ridden clothing. Frowning slightly as her eyes landed on a withered book, she slowly walked towards it and reached out a hand.

She drew back, unsure as to why before scolding herself internally. It was just some old book, after all. Besides, it did look valuable. Reaching out again, she picked up the book and opened it, squinting at the writing.

Yolanda was fluent in both English and Afrikaans but the writing within was neither. It appeared to be some kind of dead language, long forgotten. She flicked through the pages and stopped on one that she thought she could possibly pronounce.

Taking a moment to look it over, she began to read aloud, the words foreign on her tongue.

There was a great blast of cold that rushed past her. Standing near the door now stood a man his eyes narrowed "summons me?! He hissed through his teeth eyes glowing coldly in the shadows.

He wore a black cloak with firey designs on it all in writing his eyes deep golden blue color. He was very tall and scary giving off the feeling of death.

Yolanda dropped the book, stumbling backwards and tripping over her own feet. She landed with a heavy thud. Looking up at the creature before her, her mouth opened to formulate words but failed on her first attempt.

Composing herself as best she could, she tried again, this time succeeding. "Who are you?" Yolanda asked, annoyed that her question came out in a weaker voice than she would have hoped.
