For Groups (Can Be made up):
Name: International Arms Manufacturers (IAM)
Number of Members: “Security” task force of about 100,000, plus another 10,000 or so employees worldwide.
Type of Group: Militant Insurgency posing as a legitimate business.
Cause: Seize as much political, economic, and territorial control by whatever means necessary.
Location: Housed in Iceland with bases of operations in the mediterranean and the middle east.
History: The IAM was the brain-child of three black market arms dealers at the end of WWII. Scavenging weapons from battlegrounds on the German/Soviet front, these men made a fortune selling these guns to revolutionaries all over the world during the cold war. In 1970, only one of these men had survived, the others being dead and in prison respectively. This man’s name was Jackson Hurtz. Try as they may, no law enforcement agencies could make any charges stick to him, there was no solid evidence. Investing the profits from the last thirty year and retiring to Iceland, he faded into obscurity.
Ten years later, Hurtz died, leaving his fortune to his son, Gregory Hurtz. In the footsteps of his father, Gregory founded the company we know today as IAM.
Gregory had much larger ambitions than his father, however. He saw the world as his own, and he intended to take it.
However, the IAM has covered its tracks very well. As far as anyone outside trusted executives within the company, the IAM is a perfectly legitimate small arms distributer. But it’s the turn of the millennium, now. Everything is about to change.
Leader’s Name: Gregory Hurtz.
