Claws leapt down the mountain, away from the 3v1 battle happening to his right. He was looking for an ally, someone he could trust at least for a little while. Perhaps he could meet up with someone at the base of the mountain? He watched and waited for somebody, anybody to come.

Sol watched as a wild excitable creature lept down the mountain seemingly looking for someone. Sol simply watched to see if anyone else would come, if not then he might kill the creature himself.

It were a good place to start battle. Undisturbed and solemn in its noble silence, the mountains base had everything Ido would need for his skill to shine. Still air, through which he could feel air's most subtle fluctations in pressure and hear for miles across; dry, exhausted soil, littered with chunks of stone and an occasional huge boulder, the grim silhouettes of which stretched far into the distance; and a huge shadow, cast by the gigantic mountain towering above everything else in the arena. Here, nothing could be hidden from the wolf's keen senses, and to top it, he could be as generous with fire as he'd like.

His nose was first to tell him of the two other competitiors in this area, the one closest to Ido carrying the smell of cloth and human flesh, with a slight metal undertone. Stopping too sniff the air a bit more, he carried out his verdict about the second one: a mix of beast and man, just him - or, to be precise, his body. Inspecting them throughly before engaging in battle would be nice, but his own great hieght and the lack of cover gave no opportunity to do so. If they were going towards the mountain, he'd have the chance to trace them for a while, but they seemed to be heading towards the exact same forest Ido had just left, deciding that it were too dangerous to use Kzich there.

Sheathing his axes, he let out a small sigh, and headed towards the two fighters, the lack of the premeating smell of technology or exeedingly strong magical aura letting him safely assume they were a even match for his power. Aproaching them, Ido folded his arms on his chest and straighened his spine, showing off the intimidating posture of his. After holding out a superbly timed, tastefuly brief pause, he spoke, issuing the two a challenge:"Hey, shorties! Wanna tussle!?"

Sol frowned as another beast-creature had appeared, he did dislike arrogance, and if the other beast-creature decided to fight with him then it would be a good chance to take them both out. He pushed off the tree he was leaning on, and slowly started walking towards the challenging beast gathering energy as he did so. "My name is Sol; I would like to know yours, so I can brag about who I killed." Sol had no intention of bragging but if his opponent was angered he would be less likely to fight wisely in battle.

Claws watched the two spout their challenges to each other with growing interest. He instantly noticed the difference in size between the two, and he leaped forward a few feet to get a better look at the two. If they did not turn against him, he would for sure attack the rather intimidating one. After all, he reasoned, if he wants a fight, why not indulge him?

"Pheh. Wanna know my name, kid? It's 'Myself'. Try braggin' 'bout that, you ass!," - and thus was the answer of Ido's impeccable mind. Behind his blockheaded demeanor hid a truly cunning nature, and the less his opponent's knew about it, the better. One surely would expect less from a brutish Werewolf warrior than they would from a demonic savant.

Now that he was close enough, it was time for the human to properly introduce himself - and for Ido, that meant revealing all the information a fighter would rather keep to themselves. His gaze pierced right through the meager flesh-and-blood body, reaching to its magical esscence and capturing it within the demon's memory - if his opponent would attempt to attack with magic from afar, he would now be quick to react, detecing Sol's spells the moment they would be cast.

Moving onto the next step, Ido shortened the distance between them to 20 feet, and shifting into a battle stance, threw a succesion of 3 lightning fast palm strikes at Sol. This would look rather strange performed by any ordinary martial artist, but the demon's attacks had far more behind them than the eye could see. With each thrust, a high-pitched ringing could be heard, powerful sound waves sent pounding into Sol's body without giving him any time to react. However, not all would be absorbed, and the small fraction that were be reflected back to Ido would be enough for his keen senses to make a detailed picture of the opponent before him. Linking the auditory senses to the tactile, he would be able to feel percive bit of information the sound waves carried in form of pressure, as if it had been imprinted into his body - what would be hard to percive in sound, would be immediately turned into an easily understandable form.

Yet this was not the only advantage he would gain. At such a distance, the sound's power would be enough to cause a significant amount of pain, and if this caught Sol off guard, then it would provide a great opportuniny to strike.

Whipping out two huge blobs of Kzich from his hands, each holding at least 10 litres, Ido molded them into an ball and sent it hurling towards Sol at full speed, hoping to knock him down. At the same time, he let some of the liquid flow into his jetpack, and using his heating ability, he vaporized a handful of it. In gaseous state, it would react with air in a much more violent manner, providing enough heat to get the jetpack kicking without any buildup.

As Ido closed the distance Sol wasted no time using the magic he had stored and launched his wind drill at Ido just before the demon setteled into a strange stance and launched ranged attacks from his fists. Sol dashed behind his drill it trusting it to protect him from any attacks before Sol got into meele range.

As Sol was charging at Ido, Claws dashed behind Ido and swung his staff at him, hoping he would get hit by at least one of the attacks. If the attack hit Ido, it would likely leave Ido open to another attack, which was what Claws was hoping for.

Ido dashed a few feet closer, bringing both palms up to his chest; the familiar excitement he felt from battle kindled once more as he tensed up, preparing to strike - but the opponent first to make his move, warding off Ido with an attack of his own. His astral vision caught the the momentary discharge of magical energy, promting him to move, and a fraction of a second later, a huge, roaring mass of air swept by his side, tearing through what would be his own body if he hadn't dodged in time. However, it seemed that the second assilant, hoping to score a free hit, tried to sneak up on Ido from behind. Unfortunately for himself, Claws now stood in the way of Sol's wind drill, and it looked like the demon would have one opponent less to fight against so early in the fight.

However, this Beastman was the least of Ido's bothers right now, as Sol's wind soccery posed quite the threat to him, becoming an exceedingly unpleasant suprise. The sheer power of it disturbed the air enough to render both his smell and actue tactile senses useless, and if his opponent continued using it Ido would be forced to rely on just his hearing and greatly handicapped vision. Its superb senses being one of the strongest points of the Werewolf body, such an outcome would be very undesirable for him, especialy in close quaters combat where perception and reaction time played the most vital role; maintaining the lead when fighting against two enemies at once could prove impossible.

The solution came fast - as soon as he landed on his feet, the demon knew what to do. Fight fire with fire, they say? Sol had just sucessfuly cut into Ido's own attack, preventing it from happening, and now he would answer with just the same: acustomed to generous use of magic, he launched a sonic blast from one palm, and small glob of Kzich from another - weighing less than 10 pounds, it was generated in the blink of the eye, and would be a swift follow up attack to the sound waves.

If it would happen that either of his opponents were suddenly ready to retaliate, Ido could quickly guard himself, staying wary after Sol's unexpected attack - but otherwise, he would take his time to gather as much Kzich as he can and then break it down into several dozen of smaller projectiles. Throwing them up into the air, he would send them raining down at the wind wielding pest, covering the area in a 10 foot radius around him.

Sol watched disappointed as his drill narrowly missed Ido and continued hurtling towards Claw who had attempted to flank Ido. Sol had no desire to lose an apparent ally against a strong opponent however he had no particular attachment to his ally and didn't have the ability to stop his magic after he had used it anyway. Ignoring Claw's danger, Sol took advantage of the fact that he was nearly within striking range of Ido because he had followed the path of his drill until Ido had dodged, and rushed towards Ido. The beast-man launched a palm strike at Sol, and luckily enough, his sheath was position to block some of the sound waves as the rest of the, pounded through his body. Sol gritted his teeth as they wracked his body, he could've sworn that he heard tiny ripping sounds in his body as the pain finally left. Somewhat dazed Sol somehow managed to twist out of the way of the shot of goop that followed and retreated to a safe 25m distance while considering how to deal with this new theat.

It had been a long hike; nearly two dozen klicks had been covered since the nasty business involving the giant and the ensuing nonsense. JT grunted as he approached the foothills of the mountain range, his eyes scanning the horizon for any anything that might provide some form of exit from this really screwed up computer game.

Scampering along, scrambling up some rocks following a barely discernible trial, JT paused a moment, he thought he heard…something. Dropping behind a rock outcropping he glanced around trying to get an idea of what he heard and from where
.
There…it was voices, distant, but clearly voices and if that were the case it meant combatants. Sighing softly JT glanced skyward, the sun or whatever it was, appeared to be moving slowly westward. He had no idea how much time he had left but he sure as hell didn’t want to be caught outside when night fell.

Turning his attention to the voices he listened, straining to get a fix on where they were. If nothing else he might be able to move into the area where they were and hopefully they would have moved on. If not, well that would be decided then wouldn’t it.

Adjusting his grip on his rifle, and letting the ectoplasma loose, JT stood in a half-crouch and began moving along the trail again as the billowy mass of goo slowly flowed and clung to his body and weapons. Every sense straining as he tried to locate the owners of the voices when a shadow moved, he caught it out of the corner of his eye. It was ahead of him and it vanished beyond some boulders.

Licking his lips he moved quickly where the shadow had been and edged up slowly to get a glimpse of what he saw.

“Holy shit…”

Before him were two…well what else could they be called by beast men. The first and most noticeable stood nearly 9 feet tall, a bulky and heavily muscled creature to say the least. The second was much smaller, perhaps three feet smaller. But he, not sure why JT though that, but the impression was that it was a ‘he’, was carrying a translucent staff weapon.

The other one was…a human gladiator? After a second of examining the man, he judged the gladiator to be of similar height and build as himself. Then it was on, the large beast thingy moved closer to the man and did some kind of rather silly looking gung-fu like gesture with his hands, similar to bad Chinese movies.

“Oh hell brother, the minute you tried that shit, you’d be eating some rounds.” JT muttered as he watched in morbid fascination. Then not only did the beast do something with his hands he managed to do another action, avoiding the gladiators attack and performing a secondary attack from what JT saw as it, for anything that big had to be called an ‘it’ pulled some kinda muck and molded it into a ball and threw it at the human. Gawd damn that beast thingy is fast as hell.... he thought as he calculated the distance it covered in a fraction of a second..

“Jesus man do something; duck, dodge or drop to the ground do anything to break up his attacks…oh no… yeah don’t do that!” The man had done something, and was running at the larger beast man, except that there were no tactics, no movement other than a head long rush; “This could be bad…”

The catman that was ahead of JT took this opportunity to attack, and just rushed forward in a wild, uncoordinated action. The catman looked unfamiliar with combat, unfamiliar with attack or even defense. At this distance there was nothing JT could do to stop the cat from being hit, even if he managed to throw a ball of goo he doubted he could move the cat in time, he was too close.

Hefting his rifle he took a snap shot that targeted the left leg of the cat person, if he hit him there was a chance…slim but better than none that the cat would fall and the wind thingy would sail over him. Better a leg wound than dead. But that would give away his position, a scant 40 yards, 120 feet from where the gladiator and giant freaking, what the hell was it with this place and the oversized, steroid freaks anyway, beast man were at.

The shot, hopefully would work. If it didn’t, it didn’t matter as he swung rifle over to cover the two melee combats, one of them was the black hat, he’d have to watch to see which one that was.

Ido where about to carry on with their ranged slugfest, ready to tear the opponent apart with a barrage of attacks, when their fight was interrupted by the sound of gunfire. Without even skipping a single beat, he quickly diverted from the inital plan, and instead, tore the pin from one of his flashbangs, knocking it to the ground from his belt, with such force it sunk an inch into the soil before detonating, the massive Beastman's frame concealed within a blinding sphere of light.

A split second before, Ido had already blasted off towards the nearest cover, sending ripples through the debris they stood on. Nearing a large boulder, he jumped, slamming both his palms into it's top; the fabric of his jacket tightening around his biceps as the wolfly hulk pivoted towards the ground on his outstreched arms and crashed into the rubble beneath. The sudden appearance of a gunner left him vexed, and still overwhelmed by the heavy adrenaline surge, Ido sat down, grim and heavily breathing. This intrusion called for a change in tactics, and as he brainstormed the possible routes of advancment, the demon gathered his Kzich, forming one large sphere. Spellcasting soothed the mind and let the body relax, so Ido let himself indulge in this process for a while, while carefuly listening to his surroundings.

Sol twisted his head as a gunshot rang out and it whizzed past him shooting the smaller of the two beastman in the leg and causing it to fall to the ground as the wind drill roared over it's head. He identified the shooter, noted the large beastman knock something off his belt and began to move before a flash emitted from the object he had thrown on the ground. Frustrated with a foe that had vanished and a contestant who hadn't stated his intention Sol turned to face the gunman while gathering magic, "Who are you, and are you with me or against me?" he stated.

As JT swung the rifle to cover the other two, the ginormous beastie dropped something that erupted the way an M84 would, loud explosive sound with a dazzling light designed to confuse and disorientate someone with in close proximity of the grenade, usually an enclosed space as the effect is decreased greatly in an open area.

It was thus in this case, even as the rifle barrel moving, so too had the big ugly. A grin spread across JT’s face, “Ooohhh smart boy. Tricky-tricky, now where did the bad kitty go?” He was straining to see any movement among the far rocks, the only logical place for the beast to go, and by virtue of his speed, JT figured he could cover perhaps a hundred meters in the time it took that flash bang to dissipate, perhaps 2-3 seconds? More than enough time for something that big and fast.

Grunting JT rose to a knee, his rifle ready as he scanned the area, finger along the frame waiting for the kitty to show, when out of now where the gladiator ripped the air with a shout.

"Who are you, and are you with me or against me?"

In disgust JT cast a quick glance at him, he was standing there out in the open a clear target for anyone who had some form of ranged attack and more importantly he was facing JT giving up his back to the cat thing he was just fighting.

“Hey He-Man, if I wanted you dead you’d be dead. If I were you I’d find a place to hunker down because your back is exposed to the kitty you were just dancing with.”

Seriously, did these sword and board types think that muy macho crap worked? Christ almighty, he was standing in the open facing an unknown threat, while a known threat was no longer visible. That usually was a good indicator to duck and cover until things sorted themselves out.

JT slipped down along a depression in the rocks and scrambled about 20 feet to his left as quietly as possible, keeping an eye on the far rocks and scooting closer to the gladiator, if nothing else he would be able to see if the hulking cat thing tried to take a shot at him.

As he approached he hissed, “Get under some cover son, that kitty has some ordinance and if you don’t see it coming all that mumbo-jumbo you can do don’t mean squat if you’re dead. Unless of course you have eyes in the back of yer head, then never mind.”

Sliding to a halt behind a standing rocky pillar and low ridge, no more than four feet tall, it provided some cover and allowed JT a good field of fire across the almost empty battle field, the other kitty was there.

The slime that coated him made his clothing look wet and gave his rifle an odd sheen, almost as if someone had dumped a bucked of snot on it and rubbed it into it.

Ido chuckled as he heard the two converse, Sol's pafos met by JT's diehard pragmatism; however, in the Everlasting Arena, many a fighter could afford themselves to stand in line of fire of a gun, and it could be that the windmage was one of their sort. In that case, it might've been pure luck that his sonic blast even hit - though it sure did some damage, judging by his opponent's reaction.

Meanwhile, the sphere of Kzich he had been accumulating grew to 50 litres in volume - an amount of liquid which was both moderate, yet sufficient. Pushing himself to his feet, the beastman turned around and rolled his shoulders, his gaze wandering over the boulders surface. Gauging his power and comparing it to the chunk's size, Ido gave himself a reassuring nod, and then slammed it forwards with all his might, plowing his cover across the battlefield. With the aid of his arcane power, manifested in form of Kzich, Ido had propelled it far enough to cover all but 4 meters of the distance between him and Sol, giving him an opportunity to continue battling without the gunner's interference for a bit more.

Running up to the boulder, he would spill about 20 litres of the Kzich around himself, spreading the liquid in a 15 foot radius - he had't showed his full extent of control over it, and now the demon hoped to lure Sol into this trap, ready to immeditely ensnare the fool if he would come too close. Confident that he could continue evading Sol's ranged attacks as soon as they weren't any faster than the wind drill, Ido stayed light on his feet, in a stance most comfortable for dodging.

This close, he would be easily able to smell Sol, knowing his location even if he were to stay still and silent, and bombard him with the rest of the Kzich from above, should he stay behind the rock.

Sol swiftly turned back to face the rock the Beastman was hiding behind having confirmed that the gunner was no threat to him yet. He started back in surprise as the rock came flying towards him but it seemed it was merely a diversionary attempt. Sol ran his finger along the edge of his sword and released his wind magic along the edge increasing its length by a good meter and creating tiny whirling blades of wind on the edges. Sol then rushed forward to the rock and slashed horizontally ripping apart the rock he touched and hopefully hitting the beastman on the other side.

Grunting JT hefted his rifle as a large boulder flew across the field from the far side stopping short of the gladiator. The size and shape of the boulder was such that JT was unable to see effectively behind it, or for that matter around it in a manner that could be considered meaningful.

Well it had started then, and he was still unsure of who the black hat was. They could both be asses; it would be a matter of degrees at this point. Or they could both be shining examples of their respective people’s ideal warriors. That was the problem with free for all arena type combats, and how the hell did he get involved in this anyway? It didn’t really matter though, he was here and he had two combatants, well three but the other kitty was seemingly on the ground.

JT was in a good position, the pillar and low wall provided cover, but the problem is it gave him no accurate field of fire. Then the gladiator ran forward and cut the rock in half. “Holy moly…”

It was certainly impressive, which is why the best course of action would be to stay at range, while magic types like to believe themselves invulnerable, a couple of rounds to the chest ended that conversation easily. Lifting his rifle again he sighted it on the back of the human’s head,“Yeah bud if I wanted you dead you’d be dead. Fortunately for you I don’t” JT whispered as he moved the rifle a few millimeters past him and began seeking the large nasty cat thingy.

“Here kitty, kitty...!” JT murmured as he scanned the area where the large rock, now cut in twain was.

Holding the rifle with his right hand, the butt pressed tight against his shoulder, he used his left hand to fish for a grenade from his haversack. Grabbing one he pulled it smoothly out, laying it on the wall before him. It was best to be prepared for anything. Speaking of which he shifted his shoulders slightly allowing the sling the shotgun was attached to billow slightly so if he had to he could swing it around and into action smoothly.

The translucent ectoplasm encased JT as he waited to see who he was going to drop, one of these kids was gonna get spanked and depending on what happened then would dictate who JT shot.
