Shadow Network Comics
The Story So Far
Millennia ago, a creature from another reality somehow crossed over into our own. It’s mere presence shifted the balance of nature and created situations where men and women gained extra-ordinary abilities; today we know them as heroes and villains. A cadre of these people bound themselves together as one unit and cast the creature, whom they had simply named The Destroyer, into a world of forever and nothingness. Over the many centuries, The Destroyer has appeared once again into the world, intent on ending all life on our planet. With the minions he creates through Earth’s human’s. the Destroyer constantly tries to end all things and always his mere presence forces the people of Earth to rise from the ordinary and become the extraordinary.
The most recent of these events happened during the apex of WW2. The Destroyer and his army of altered humans became apparent in the midst of the Nazi war effort. It was up to a select few heroes from around the world to put an end to the horror and banish the monster back to where he came.
Now 100 years on, the Destroyer; now under the guise of business mogul Alan Morra, has been systematically releasing his new monsters (mostly created by modern technology) out into the world in his attempt to destroy mankind. Young government agent Diana Stahl, a descendant of one of the 20th century heroes, sees fit to use a secret government creation so called the Shadow Network to gather a handful of young meta-humans and recruit them to stop Morra and his evil. Each with their own unique origin, skill set and personality, the men and women of the Shadow Network aren’t exactly a team but when Earth is in peril, they will join together and save it from the horrific darkness…or at least they will try....
The Short of It
Maybe it was a science experiment gone wrong. Maybe you’re a god on Earth masquerading as a human? Or maybe your just some guy in a weird outfit looking to make a difference. Whatever the case, you’re either a meta or regular but talented human that has been recruited by the Shadow Network to fight the evil of Alan Morra aka The Destroyer.
Despite appearances this isn’t a superhero rp. Imagine if you will, Heroes, these are people with amazing abilities and responsibilities who are also trying to live a regular life. So you can take this rp as a slice of life more than a hero rp but there will be battles and the like.
Now the reason this is called Comics rather than team or whatever is because although all characters are part of the Shadow Network, they are not a team. We will each be telling our own individual stories whilst also interweaving them with the stories of the other characters. Relationships and friendships are encouraged but like I said, not everything is about punching or blowing stuff up. Characters will be or appear to be (depending on your character) in their early twenties and as stated above based in and around the fictional Empire State University in New York.

3. Of course, no over powered characters. Whatever your character is, they’re just starting out so they aren’t all complete badasses right now.
4. We're in the casual section, so no one-liners. At least one paragraph of detailed content per post.
5. Respect each other and treat each other as equals, any disagreements take to PM.
6. If there is a problem between players the GM's will help solve it so that we can do what we came to do - have fun and write something riveting.
6. Cussing, gore and romance is fine, but if you're getting into serious territory, please fade to black or move to pm.
7. If you don't post within a week we'll check in with you and if we don't get a response we'll remove your character from play in a fitting manner.
