Confused about the title? Let me explain. I have some ideas for post-apocalyptic roleplays. However many "♢"s are behind an idea are the number of supporters. First idea to five will be used.
1- Some time in the future (say, in the 2060's or so), genetically engineered organisms have become the standard when it comes to war; soldiers are assisted by genetically engineered animals bred and modified for combat. But when the Genetically Modified Combat Organisms (GMCO) suddenly turn on humanity, they wipe out the majority of the population. ♢♢♢
2- A bit closer to modern times, a terrorist organization releases a genetically engineered fungus on cities all over the world. The fungus turns hosts into mindless zombies intent on spreading spores. These zombies would be a bit different, in that instead of biting a victim to spread the infection, they breath the spores into a human or animal's mouth or nose. ♢♢♢♢
3- Somewhat similar to the second one, these zombies are actually the result of parasitic worms. When the worm eggs or larvae are accidentally ingested by a human or animal, the strongest larvae makes its way through the body to the host's brainstem. Once there, the worm matures by merging with the brainstem and siphoning nutrients. This causes the process of zombification, leaving the host as a shell controlled by the worm. Once the parasite matures it produces eggs, which are then transferred through bites. Like most zombies, these actively seek hosts, be they human or animal. ♢♢
