[IC] Being Human

Liz hummed beneath her breath as she entered the clinics. The main room only held a few people. Liz approached a young mother with a sick child she kneeled before the mother and place her had on the child's head. Within minutes the child's caugh was for.

She's the messiah! Willis thought. Willis knew she had pores but the ability to cure a person is extraordinary!

Liz continued around the rooming touching those who were ill. Few thanked her, but many left without a word. By the time the clinic was empty Liz was pale.

[Vortex]

One by one Liz worked her magic like a god but by the end of it she was pale and sickly "my dear Liz you just cured more than Jesus did in a few minutes! But I have to recommend that you you rest for you look sickly"

"Healing isn't easy, but I have healed more then this. Rest hasn't always been an option. Besides we had a deal. Next we will go to the school." Liz argues. Taken the mans hand and leaves the clinic.

[Vortex]

"No my dear I insist you lay down for a minute or so! No good ever comes from haste." Willis did not know why but for some reason he had become likened to this lady. He could never be friends with someone like her thought, for they were polar opposites, what would all his rich friends think of him bringing a slummer into high society? They however did not know Willis's true intejtions.

"Alright but not here. Lets go to my house." Liz slowly led the way to the house she called home. It was a small Victorian house that was in need of repair. She unlocked the door and lead him inside. The inside was worn down but homey.

[Vortex]

To be blunt Liz's house was a shithole. The wallpaper was peeled, the walls themselves had holes in them, the carpet was a odd looking grey colour and the house smelt funny. Willis being Willis commented on the pitiful state *Scoff* "you call this place home!? My dear the last time I was in such a place it was my own home when I was seven! And that place was a never ending disaster!"

Liz looked around as she made herself comfortable on a small loveseat. She didn't see the holes or the peeling wallpaper. She saw the house the way it had nice been. "I bought it with my own money. It needs a little love but it keeps me warm. This house is better then the mansion I grew up in."

[Vortex]

Willis was shocked hat anyone could go from riches to squalor and be happy, Willis thought that she must have a disorder but decided not to inquire and instead said "When you grow up in a dum... Place like this you learn to appreciate luxury when you get it"

"When the you grow up in luxury you learn it is a lie." Liz closed her eyes. "Luxury means more not better."

[Vortex]

"More is better. And so what if it is a lie? At least it is a good lie, one better than the truth, one you choose to live"

[KatherinWinter]

"I would rather have honesty. The slums might not be pretty but they have given me something the upper class never did. Here I am welcomed and excepted. Here I am safe." Liz said sleepily.

[Vortex]

"You were not accepted. That Is exactly why I am creating a supernatural (rich place) so our kind is accepted and no longer have to walk in the shadows of the ordinary. As for being safe here? I think you are deluding yourself my dear for on the night we met I saw two muggings and a brawl. That is not safe"

[KatherinWinter]

"No one has hurt me since I moved in. The supernatural community walks in the shadows because the ordinary out number us. They would destroy us if we grew to the heights you invasion." Liz had no desire to return to the world of privilege. She liked the community here. With human and non-human living together.

[Vortex]

"May I sit?" Willis gestured to a chair

"Of course I'm sorry I forgot my manners."Liz sit up so she could study the man across from her. He was a mystery. She had always had a thing for mysteries. Eventually she would figure him out. "You can help yourself to the kitchen if you like."

[Vortex]

Despite having a indecent lunch Willis politely declined and took a seat. "You say you were born in luxury?"

[KatherinWinter]

"Yes. The best of the best and all the expectations that come with it." Liz replies.

[Vortex]

Willis laughed "I find this funny, that I raised I the slums became rich and happy trying to convince you my way is better while you raised in riches went down the social ladder, now lives in a slum but is happy and trying to convince me that your way is right"
