-Intro-

An old man lights a candel, on the table in front of him and sits down, across from him on the other side of the table is a Stranger, not from this place, but from below, the old man coughs and speaks.

"AH, my dear boy, you came from Miratahs island right?"
"Yes i did" The Young man replys
"WELL then, you will not know of the happenings of use up here then, so let me tell you about our world"

The old man reaches under the table and pulls out an old cloth rolled up, and places it on the table, unrolling it, reveling a map.

"You see this map, this is of our known world" The old man points to a spot ont he map with a small little black line on it

"This is were you are from, this is the map of the world, our massive world, Its mostly ocean with a few scaterd islands on the surface, but in the skys, it is a wonderous place of exploration, the amazing magnetic fields we experiance on this world gives us the wandering islands, even someas large as a continent, rich with resources and amazing wonders"

The old man grabs another cloth from under the table and lays it over the other map, with pictures and delactly drawn maps of islands, connected by bridges, some of fortresses, and others with what appears to be sails or engines.

"This is some of the Islands we know off, some rulled by Dictarors others by the people, some are industrious, others scientific, some look for military glory, others commercial gain, all with thier own amazing wonders that have to be seen, All because of a Mineral Called the Anti-Magntite Or Float Stone, You will find Massive Flying Fleets, and or Citys, but were you end up is up to you because This is the World of the Wandering Islands"

-The Game-

This is a Nation RP, were you control your own little Island, you maintain its Resources, Industry, Government, Economy, Military, Research, and build wonders of glory.

You have the ability to Capture other Floating Islands, and conect them to yours, or buld them into Fortresses, your able to Anchor these Islands off fromt he planet to prevent thier Wandering, and gain from trade because of it.

You Develope your own research onto Flying machines, Either Giant Ballon Fortresses, or Floating Steam Machines, its of your own Design.and imagination, and much much more available.

all i need is at least up to 5 People Interested so i can get started, so if you liek the idea, say your interested and we will go from there, I'll even go as far to give updates of the games progress for launch if i have enough interests.

So i leave it to you.

it will be stat, but narrative is also aloud, you run your nation as you want, diplomacy can be huge narritive in discussions at times from other games i have done.

also to add i forgot to say you can move your island or islands around, and even use them as siege weapons and ram others :D but this is not somethign you want to do allt he time cause you'll destroy your islands :D

currently im waiting on a few more people that are interested, once thats done i'll get to setting up the game, i'll PM once i start and give updates on the game design progress, then we go from there. :)

UPDATE 1

basicly startign everything, ill just speil about the resources quickly.

there are only a few.

Iron - island and surface
Coal - Island and surface
Oil - Planetary Surface only
Gas - Planetary Surface only
wood - both
Float stone 0r anti-magnetite - Island only
gold - both
silver - both
gems - both

these are all the main resources i may add a few more luxury ones later, but for now these are the base.

NOW, the main part, EACH island can only possess 1 resource, so you have to choose WISELY, though you will start with 3 islands already, though you will have to choose what resource it is.

these, will relate for virtually everything, how you conduct R&D, manufacture fleets, build your floating island worlds.

i allow you the choice because it gives you the ability to craft your own ships, which is freely open to design, how this is governed will be discussed later.

Update 2

-ECONOMY-

there are a few things to this, population, Tax, Maintenance, industry, agriculture

-Poplation-

First off, you need Population to do anything, this grows once per year, by atleast 0.2% (still to be decided), and your population limits your military, and industry capabilitys, you also have to dedicate 30% to agriculture to feed your peoples (Still Finalizing)

-Tax + maintenance.-

this will work on a simple basis of setting your tax % for the poor, middle, and rich classes, that is added together, then you dedicate your income to certatin sectors, which i will provide a example.

Incomes:
Tax: 5% Poor, 15% Middle, 25% Rich.
Trade Income; 5% - 5% gained from Trade
Commercail Distribution: 5% - 5 Factorys producing Commercial goods
Total: 55%

Deductions: (Max of total Income %)
Building Expendature: 10% - 10 buildings available
Military Expendature: 20% - 20% of population can be mobilised as military personel, and allows 20 ships.
Trade Expendature: 0% - no % dedicated to Trade
R&D: 25% - 25% to dedicate to your Designs or research
Construction: 0% - % dedicated to completion of new Buildings
Debt: 0% - Paying off debt accumilated.

Tallied:
Income 55%
deductions 55%
Tressury: 0%
Debt: 0%

Dept and tressuary allow you to overdraft on incomes, if you have maxed out taxes accross your nation, EG: 100% on poor, middle, and rich classes, that is 300% income, to be used, IF you dont want to over tax, then you can overdraft this allows you to use more money then you have, how ever you have to pay it off other wise you will have negative random events hit your people that will cause problems.

This works into the happiness system, which i will post on in a later update.

-Industry-

Industry requires a number of things, population, resources, and the required buildings.

for a factory to work right it requires Iron, iron is the most valuable resource ingame, and will be the most common and requires a mine to be used, wood will be second to this as it will be required to build your ships early in the game and through out to mid game till a random event allows more heavier ships (explained later)

Your industry part of your post will look liek this:

Iron Mine > Factory > 100x Vehicles per (what ever time is set)

this is the standard for industry, and the only way to produce equipement, i will give a list later on on produceable items per (what ever time is set) this is a set feature.

You will also require a factory to supply shipyards, usualy on a 1 to 1 basis, still to be dicided yet, and will look liek this.

Iron Mine + wood > factory > Shipyard = % of completion let of said ship.

There will be different types of ships mainly the main 7 classes > Island Finder (explorer looks for islands), Patrol, Corvette, Frigate, Destroyer, Cruiser, Capitol Ships, each is a category, and your designs can be based of sub categorys of your choice, eg; battle cruiser, or dreadnaught etc.

other resources will be required to build certain ship classes, Eg: Float stone to help keep capitol ships up due to thier size and weight, ect.

this will be explained further later on.

-Agriculture-

Agriculture is a set 30% of population required, other wise you will be hit with negative random events, that will plague our nations people.

Update 3

Time

This will run on a basis of every 2 days is 4 months ingame.

means one week will be 1 year.

and flows easier, i choose this over turn system, because if someone dosnt post thier turn it slows the game, this way if someone is away the game continues, if you miss 3 posts then you just x3 all your stuff to suit or what ever, which works well.
