Themaster99 That sounds really solid actually. And you're right Kyle isn't going to trust you easily and I doubt much of anyone would.

Works for me! I think it would be best to have a post about Luther's set-up to the meeting before the actual meeting though, or immediately before the meeting in one big post. Either way we can collab on it to make it work if you'd like.

Mhm. Well the meeting's going to be one or two posts into the IC, so whoever's got the message about the owl coming would be able to say it as an urgent thing at the meeting (just before the coincidentally timed owl flying in) if you wanted.

I don't want to take too long to get to the action, after all. Do you think Luther could have information to doubly prove he's trustworthy (basically a place he's heard is going to be raided?)

I can most likely think of a random name of a Muggleborn (or maybe something more substantial like a terrorist attack similar to the Millennium/Brockdale Bridge, if you'd rather that) to offer to the Ashes, sure!

Tbh I don't really think rules are necessary. All the obvious rules are implied + briefly mentioned, and anyone who might break them probably isn't on a roleplaying forum to begin with :P

Mhm. It's just the one that's this RP specific about only killing/taking down two NPC Death Eaters max per post, just in case it's needed. I feel like I should word it more... accurately. (Yeah, I'm totes gonna be able to do that at midnight when I'm knackered.)

Hm. Reading over it I think some parts need to be trimmed down a little and are a little convoluted because I can't follow it either (shocking I know, I have failed you ;w;).

I think to save the effort of setting this up with so many people:
- An owl is sent by Luther to interrupt the meeting, asking us to meet at location X nearby the manor.
- We go, ask for proof he's genuine, he gives us a location (of his choice).
- Boom! Right into the action!

Is that alright with everyone?

Hopefully I don't get ninja'd. (EDIT: I was :( )

• Luther learns about an upcoming raid on a Muggleborn's house and he goes there before it happens and warns them, In exchange he asks them to call/text Jia and pass on a message informing the Ashes about an owl he will send at dusk that day.


• At the meeting that night, Jia mentions this to the group and immediately after the owl appears. Whatever actually happens is up to McHaggis I guess, but they end up deciding to meet Luther as detailed in the letter the owl brings.


• They go the next day to the arranged meeting location expecting it to be a trap and are ready to fight, and are surprised when Luther is there alone, disarmed. Since he is alone and unarmed they decide to hear him out, and he explains that he wants to become a spy for them. They don't trust him.


• He then tells them about an upcoming raid/attack/etc (not decided yet) which holds true, and he is trusted (at least by the leaders, if not necessarily everyone) enough to be allowed to join the Ashes


• Action unfolds from there

I think I've covered everything; if anyone has something to add that I forgot, then feel free.

What on earth is the reason for going?

We can lore-ify Luther's ability to contact the group by having him intercept a group owl (who has the secret and can therefore deliver the message). Dunno if somebody's suggested this, but if they have, well done, because it's a good idea. :P

Maybe only the stupid hot-headed members go? To the great concern and annoyance of the sensible ones?

@Jig, the reasoning behind it is that Luther had already saved one Muggleborn from a Death Eater raid, so he must have had a reason to take that risk, so its at least worth hearing out. Of course, if they get attacked they can just mass-Apparate back to the manor before anything bad happens, and if they don't they might just get a fairly high-ranking spy!

Also, your suggestion about only the hot-headed going would be both good and bad (I checked before I posted in case I got ninja'd again ;) ). Good because it makes sense, but bad because they would likely be much less fair to Luther than the others might be. Idk, that part isn't so much my concern so you guys can figure it out :P

Thing is though, if Luther waltzes in having already gotten the secret from an owl, it makes everything soooo much easier and we can get it done near the beginning so I'm tempted just to go for that option. Mostly because the longer the intro stages of a RP is, the more likely interest is to taper off :S

However I can see the hot-headed thing working, too.
