Appearance: Marie is, in a word, stunning. She possesses a great classically beautiful face highlighted by green eyes that forever seem to have a cool distant, almost enigmatic look. She keeps her auburn hair long, shiny, and often carefully curled or styled. She is 5’7” tall, enough height to be attractive…not so much as to be considered too tall. Her figure is very generous, with curves and features she works very hard to maintain. Her appearance and bearing are her livelihood, or at least they are a very major part of it, and she takes very good care of herself.

Personality: Marie is cold and aloof most of the time. It is not from any arrogant or selfish personality but from the fact that her particular line of work requires her to keep anything personal hidden away. It is simply easier if she keeps emotion out of her business. It helps that most of her work is within members of the upper class, the wealthiest of wealthy. They view her withdrawn and aloof manner as good breeding, expected really. She has cultivated her skills in this manner; the result is a very regal bearing, perfect speech, and in general the absolute image of the perfect socialite.
History: Marie was born in French Louisiana, right in the heart of new Orleans. Her mother was a worker at a bar, her father the owner. At least that is what she was always told as he father died before she was two years old. Her mother didn’t make near enough money to support them both while working at the bar, and therefore turned to less savory occupations on the side. She did whatever she could to make some extra money. Taking in washing, thieving, even turning tricks when she had to. It was hard to make enough to keep both her and her daughter fed and cared for; and because she had to be gone so much Marie was mostly raised by neighbors, mainly a voodoo priestess (so she claimed) named Belle. Belle had a very strong interest in proper grooming, fashion, and many of the other details that come with high society. She passed on that interest to Marie.
Marie grew up studying the proper behavior, clothing, and attitudes one must display among the quality. She privately thought Belle probably had once been a part of such society, but had suffered some setback such as a ruined reputation or similar. But Marie wasn’t one to judge such things. As Marie grew older she discovered that such behavior made things easier, people made assumptions about you. And that made life much easier. She soon began supplementing her mother’s income with her own, though she never revealed how she acquired it.
Thieving came naturally to her, and with her own classy bearing and demeanor it was easy enough to ingratiate herself with assorted wealthy peoples. The first time she worked as a high quality whore she had been a virgin, and charged the man for the privilege. That experience had showed her how vulnerable men were when engaged in such activities. It was her biggest haul to date, and she thought it was wise to cultivate such skills. And she went to work getting proper schooling in such arts, which was no mean feat when it came down to it.
Her mother passed away when she was seventeen. From that time on she was on her own, and she took what few valuables she had and decided it was time to leave. She moved regularly, mainly to keep ahead of any lawmen who might be on her tail. She often found herself attached to very wealth men, and occasionally a few women, whom she worked for then tended to rob blind, steal their plane, hawk it, and move on. Most of the time no one ever pegged her; generally those who hired her didn’t want it bandied about that they had purchased the services of a courtesan.
And she didn’t always rob her mark blind, sometimes just a little, and sometimes not at all. It depended on wether she was ready to move onward. Some places she stayed for a long time, enjoying the delights of the cities. Others she could hardly wait to leave. She was a decent pilot, her strength was a great familiarity with a variety of aircraft. One never knew just what sort of private plane her mark had, she was very adaptable though and could pilot whatever the situation threw at her, as much as she needed to anyway
Skills: Marie speaks English, French, and Cajun extremely fluently. Her bearing and deportment is what one would expect from the highest of class. She has a very regal bearing and persuasive manner. She is stunningly beautiful and adept at using that beauty to get what she wants. She is a very skilled prostitute and an excellent thief but has no experience with any sort of combat. An average pilot she can fly a variety of planes as long as the situation does not involve combat. She can, if forced to, dredge up her life as a poor folk of N'awlins and fit herself into that role (appearance, speech, attitude, etc), but she lothes doing so, it is strictly an emergency measure.
