So for Sakura's part in this next post, I, personally, say nah on dodging. I can't really see her piecing it together. He placed emphasis on the clone a lot to mislead her so she didn't consider him as an 'opponent' either in this segment, and while she's intelligent I personally think it would serve her better if she just ended up taking the bruise and having her own feelings on the lesson: He didn't say he was going to stay out of it, he just kept her focused on the one she was meant to. So, she leaves with a lesson learned.

For your next post just have her interact with him a bit about what she's learned, maybe ask questions if she has them? I mean we can totally skip to 'later that night' if you'd like, I think that's all I can get away with for now without her being too exhausted for the mission. Hope you enjoyed ^^'' or we can discuss Sakura narrowly avoiding his attack or having it nick her. Whatever you think is best. She's no moron but she's gotta take these bruises because later she'll be so strong she won't have them anymore! xD

I'll probably have her take the hit, it's been a long morning after all. If it were sooner in the day, I may have been able to come up with a very narrow dodge but right now, it doesn't seem so likely. i'll also probably end up skipping to when they arrive at their overnight stop?

Well this was a much-needed training segment where I go in depth. Not much sense being a teacher if I don't teach her things, I just don't wanna sound dumb ^^'.

I think you did mention their stopping point would be that town and then the next later afternoon, they'd be at Tanzaku. Then on the way back, they could camp out as opposed to stay at an Inn. Would they have separate rooms? If it's small, I doubt it but I also don't see a lot happening either way since they'd eat and rest up for the next day's travel.

Yeah two rooms seems excessive money to spend when they're going going to be there overnight. I think they should get one room and Sakura can get the bed, he'll get the floor beneath. So did you want to get us there while they're getting something to eat and talking while the sun starts setting?

I will probably take them up to them getting to the room and setting their crap down before they go eat, seems like a simple stopping point. That way it could give us a few posts for chit chat if needed and maybe to talk to anyone who has any info to give them for the mission.

Sounds good. I don't think anyone would have information, but Kakashi may ask if they've seen anyone suspicious passing through here recently. I can always have the man say he saw Taro and a hooded figure talking, which will be Kabuto.

I just figure a small town with not much going on, has its means of information gathering and holding onto any gossip/news. I don't see anything being a break in the case but just a mention would be promise enough for Kakashi and Sakura I think. But again, I assume it'd be a very minor thing mentioned. Kabuto and Taro sneaking around can't be a good sign though hahaha.

Well they don't know for suuuuure. We do know, but Kakashi can only suspect that Taro met with someone big like Orochimaru or Kabuto. Until he sees the Sound Ninja himself he won't be sure they're behind this but EVERYTHING points to Orochimaru really. He's the only one other than the Raikage who'd kidnap a child to get what he wants. Assholes, man.

Orochimaru...after what's happened I don't blame Kakashi for being pretty alert. Sakura, on the other hand wouldn't be sure if the Sound Nin would have anything to do with this incident but then again, seeing them later on will make things more clear in terms of the bigger picture still remaining unclear (and needing more investigation as well). At any rate, I don't see it taking us too long to get to Tanzaku where the action is and then of course gives us more room for some fun combat.
