“The patient is flat-lining!”

The nurses’ panicked cry rang through the room and Echo jumped into action. She appeared by the women on the table and began chest compression's to get the blood flowing to the heart. Doctors and nurses were hurrying to and fro trying to figure what was the cause for the stopping of the heart.

Echo keep a keen ear on the men in coats conversing in loud voices next to her but she mainly focused on trying to keep the woman’s heart going.

“Her blood pressures’ dropping too much!” Another nurse called. Echo keep doing the compression's however the patient suddenly began jerking and thrashing around. Echo was forced to back up or else be hit by flailing limbs.

The doctors started shouted and some tried to hold the woman down as she continued to spasm. A cracking sound filled the air and Echo looked at the woman on the table. Her shirt had been removed and the girl could only watch in horror as the skin on her chest bulged until a great rip filled the air. Blood splattered the men and a…a…thing leaped from the table and disappeared down the halls. There were shrieks as it passed people while the medical personnel started after it in shock, the dead woman now cooling on the table.

~Le time skip- three hours later~

Echo was curled up in one of the rooms in the medical bay. She had retreated back there after seeing how everything went to Hell outside. Her clothes were soaked in blood and ripped in places from a few close call. Three hours. Three hours was all it took for chaos to break out and everybody to start dying. Echo was say it was all a nightmare but she didn’t have nightmares, or dreams for that matter and so wouldn’t be able to make an accurate comparison. It was horrible, death everyone; people being ripped apart and their faces being torn off or being stabbed through the heart.

What few people survived were salvaging anything they could and playing tag with the alien and the Working Joes who seemed to have malfunctioned when the station went offline and were now killing anything that moved. All except the alien. It was a curious thing. Echo had witnessed an android spot the alien and simply said it was curious. And vice versa, the alien didn’t seem interested in killing the androids. Maybe it could sense they weren’t alive. Hmmmm.

A sudden noise drew her from her inner musings and she tensed, listening intently. Soft booted footsteps seemed to be making their way down the hall. She had over-rid the door, forcing it to stay locked but it was very easy to hack it if one had the right equipment. The girl sprang to her feet, eyes darting around looking for a weapon. She then snatched up a scalpel. Hmmm, not the best instrument of defense but she could at least take an eye out with it.

The lights in the room had been destroyed and not even the emergency lights came on but that was just as well. She liked and functioned better in the dark, it was to her advantage. She quietly tucked her googles around her neck and took up a position right beside the door. Maybe she could manage to slip around whoever was out there without them noticing. She crouched there tense, scalpel clenched in a tight hand.

Jason, meanwhile, was walking through the abandoned station wondering what the hell had happened aboard Sevastapol. The boy was here because he had been attached to a squad of Weyland-Yuntani employees to retrieve the flight recorder for the Nostromo. The ship that one of his best friends, and his mother figure in his life, Amanda Ripley's own mother had been a board when it self destructed out here. As he approached the door, it did not open. Which was strange, so the boy pulled out the hacking tool that he had taken from a dead body. (Did all stations look abandoned and have dead bodies everywhere?). He sat there and messed with the controls until he unlocked the door. Jason stepped inside and looked around. "Anybody in here?"

Echo heard the footsteps stop right outside the door and she tensed even more. She heard fumbling, some beeps and a hiss as the door slid open. Hmmmm, so they had a hacking tool. Might be a useful thing to nick if she got the chance. Then again she was able to open any door in Sevastopol, locked or no so she really didn’t need it. But if this person didn’t have it then she had a better chance of getting away should they prove to be unfriendly.

Echo stayed crouched right next to the door as the person stepped inside. The girl tilted her head as she studied the figure. He was roughly her age, or rather, the age she looked seeing as she didn’t age the way humans did. She was unable to see what his hair or skin color was since without her goggles on she only saw in shades of blue, purple and sometimes silver. Suddenly Echo mentally slapped herself, reminding herself that she was supposed to be slipping out the door as the boy examined the room. She slowly began inching towards the opening, eyes fixed on the boy.

Jason looked around. "Hello? I'm looking for the Colonial Government here. They have a package to pick up... and you have a dead body in the hall? Are y'all aware of that?" The boy says loudly. Trying to get somebody's attention. Unfortunately, he attracted the attention of something else. The Alien slowly lowered itself from the vent to the floor.

Oh dear, this boy was going to get himself killed with all his hollering. Her too if she stayed there any longer. It was definitely time to leave. She felt a small pang of guilt at leaving him to get killed but frankly he wasn’t her problem. It was every man for himself and Echo had her own skin to worry about. He was a big boy, he could take of himself. Probably. Maybe. The girl turned and scurried out of the room, freezing at what greeted her in the hall. The black beast hissed at her and she bared her teeth back, staying in her crouch as she brandished her scalpel like a sword.

“Bring it on you bastard.” She hissed, thankful that the hall was dark and didn’t impede on her sight. The Xenomorph screeched and rushed her. She managed to dodge around it, thankful she was as fast if not faster than it. However she had forgotten about the tail and it slammed into her, sending her crashing against the wall. She recovered quickly and saw it advancing on her. Her hand scrambled for a weapon and her fingers found a piece of pipe laying broken on the ground.

She hurled it at the creature, getting a scream that almost made her eardrums rupture. Hmmmm, seems the beastie didn’t like things being thrown at it. The alien picked her up and she glared at it. Maybe when its little mouth came out to bite her she might be able to stab it with the scalpel. However, instead it readied its tail to stab her. Echo didn’t flinch, staring death in the face as she waited.

Jason heard the sounds of a scuffle in the hallway and ran towards it. Upon seeing the beast holding up a girl who seemed to be about his age, the boy rushed the Xenomorph and sent the bastard sprawling backwards. He looked around for the nearest object to use against and found himself hefting the pipe that the girl had thrown. As the monster rushed him again, Jason slammed the pipe sideways against it. Throwing it against the wall hard enough to make it shriek and run off, jumping up into the air vent.

Echo was promptly dropped as the xenomorph screamed as it was hit then disappeared into the vents. The girl slowly got to her feet, holding a hand up to shield her eyes from the harsh glare of his flashlight. She slowly backed away from him, eyes glowing at him eerily as she regarded him warily. She didn’t like the sight of that pipe in his hands. She just hoped she would be able to escape him should he chase her. “Want to get that flashlight out of my face?” She finally hissed. Even though she was doing her best to shade her eyes from the light it still hurt for it to be directed at her.

She took a few more steps back, body tensed to run. She didn’t want him anywhere near her and she planned to run as far away as she could before that creature came back looking for revenge. Luckily the hall was dark save for the beam shining from his flashlight. Before he could react she darted into the shadows, taking off down the hall so fast she was blur. She made no sound as she ran, her feet so silent it was like her feet weren’t even hitting the ground. Her long hair flared out behind her like a cape. She didn’t know if he was friendly or not and she didn’t plan on sticking around to find out.

Jason turned off his flashlight and rolled his eyes, what this girl didn't understand is that while the boy was bred for combat and enhanced to be the perfect soldier, he was actually a nice guy. If you didn't irritate him like she was doing. He took off down the hall after her, his footsteps made nearly zero noise as well, he brought the pipe with him simple out of need for something in case that creature showed. Jason effortlessly caught up to the girl and grabbed her arm, spinning her around. "You are going to explain to me what the fuck that thing is, what the hell is going on here, and then just maybe I'll consider giving the open spot on my ship, and don't worry. I'm not about to attack you unless I'm provoked. This is in case that thing comes back.

Though his footsteps where silent Echo’s advanced hearing was able to detect the whispering of his clothing as he moved, notifying her as he gave chase. She was mildly surprised that he caught up with her and grabbed her arm. She glared up at him, illuminating eyes boring into his head. “Let. Go. Of. My. Arm.” She snarled, ripping the limb from his grasp and taking a few steps back. “I don’t have to tell you anything.” She hissed, resisting the urge to sock his across his mouth. She continued to glare holes in his head before she spun on her heel and continued down the hall.

“I’m not leaving without Ellen.” She tossed over her shoulder. Ellen being a little girl of one of the doctors. Children normally weren’t found on stations but Ellen’s mother was a single mother and couldn’t find anyone to watch her daughter. Ellen’s mother, Amy, was like a mother to Echo as well. She was the only person on this station to treat Echo like an actual person. Sadly however Echo had been forced to watch Amy get torn to shreds by the alien. Echo had vowed to protect Ellen and would be damned before she left without her.

"I'll help you find her. Then we can all get out of this hellhole." Jason says, his face plain as he looks at her. He still did not dare let go of the girl's arm. "And you won't outrun me, I was bred for war. Hate to point it out but you might actually be safer keeping me around." The boy says simply.

Safe?” She spit out, glare intensifying. “I was doing perfectly okay before you showed up and started shouting the whole place down! Now I will tell you again, let go of my arm before you find yours missing!” Even in the midst of her rage Echo kept her voice down to a whisper so to not attract any unwanted attention. Suddenly a scream ran out and Echo slipped out of the boys grasp and took off down the hall. She skidded around a corner and froze. A small figure hung limply, impaled through the stomach by a sharp black tail.

Echo let out a wordless cry and snatched up the first thing she could. Ironically a flame thrower was lying next to a dead body and Echo grabbed it. She advanced on the alien, fire billowing out of the nozzle of the gun. The alien screamed, the small figure flying against the wall as the alien escaped into the vents. Echo threw herself down by the little girl. “E-Echo…” The weak utterance of her name had tears filling her eyes. “E-Ellen, j-just h-hold…hold on. I’m going t-to f-fix you.” She tore a strip of her shirt to tie the wound though she knew that wouldn’t be enough. Her mind whirled around in circles before it clicked on something. There had to be a medkit somewhere in one of these rooms!

She quickly scooped the girl up and took off down the hall with the flame thrower hanging on her back. She arrived at a room and almost howled out in pain at the light that greeted her eyes. She stumbled forward and gently laid Ellen on the table as she frantically began searching the room once she had placed her goggles over her eyes in order to see. She found a medkit in a cabinet but it was locked. In her desperation Echo drew her fist back and smashed it into the lock. She pulled the door open and yanked the kit out, turning back to the little girl. Her panic kicked into over drive as she saw how pale the girl was becoming. She hurried over and assessed the damage. It didn’t look good. She ignored the medical side of her that said that the girl had already lost too much blood and probably wouldn’t make it as she focused on cleaning the wound. Ellen weakly struggled and Echo soothed her as she pushed the tiny girls hair off her forehead. “Y-You’re g-going to be o-ok.” Echo didn’t know who she was trying to convince and she pushed it to the back of her mind. She had to get the wound closed. She fumbled through the kit looking for a needle but a choking, sputtering noise stopped her.

She turned back to Ellen to see the girl coughing up blood. “Ellen!” She quickly propped her head up so the girl wouldn’t drown in her own blood. When she could finally breathe again Echo lowered her back to the table. The girl was taking short, stilted breaths before finally, after a soft rattling noise her chest stopped moving. “Ellen? Ellen no! Stay with me!” Echo placed her hands on her chest and started doing chest compressions. It was all in vain though, Ellen was gone. But Echo was too distraught to stop and so she keep working even though the girls’ body started to cool, muttering to herself as tears ran down her face.

A loud banging noise outside of the room was soon joined by the steady, monotone voice that said "let me tell you about Sevastapol's safety protocols." And other lines that the broken Working Joe's were famous for saying. Along with the sound of Jason grunting as if in combat. Soon enough, a loud choking sound could be hear as if the boy had lost his fight, then two Working Joe's fell through the door with their heads torn off, and Jason came through. This time sporting a shotgun he had found on a dead body. "She's dead. Now let's move before you end up like that." He stated. His innocence in believing that the girl wanted to be saved was easy to identify. And along with that it was easy to identify the fact that he had never seen social interaction before.

Echo bit back sobs as she gazed down at the small figure. She gently closed Ellen’s eyes before straightening, turning to face the boy. Her face was expressionless behind her goggles and after gathering anything she would need from the room she strode over to the door. After the boy had returned to the hall she kicked the android bodies out of the doorway and punched in a code on the door, watching it hiss shut. There, now no one would even be able to hack their way in the room where Ellen’s body lay. Thankfully there were no vents in the room for the alien to get into either.

She shoved her goggles off her face and looked at him with her eerie eyes. “If you’re looking for the flight recorder you’ll want to find Marlow. He’s the captain of the Anesidora, the ship that brought it aboard. If he isn’t dead that is.” She said in a monotone voice as she brought up a hologram map projected from the watch on her arm. She then began heading down the hall without even asking if he was ready or even looking behind her to make sure he was following after her.

However before they could get very far an android came down the hall towards them. Echo snarled and launched herself at it, hitting it in the head repeatedly with a long heavy wrench-like object. Once her angry was slightly alleviated she stepped back and continued down the hall as if nothing had every happened.

Jason nodded and followed behind the girl, wondering where the hell she was going. But he didn't say anything as she walked ahead of him with her giant weapon in hand. He decided it would be better than to question the very angry girl.

Echo paused as she came to a junction in the hallway. She knew they needed to go left but the faint sounds of footsteps sounding from the left coming towards them made Echo hastily back away and flattened herself against the wall. She tightened her grip on her wrench, holding it tightly as she prepared to swing at anyone that came around the corner. However, a small voice drifted quietly down the hall towards her. Upon recognizing her name and the voice that had voiced it, Echo darted around the corner and scooped the small girl into her arms, hugging her tightly. “Autumn! Oh thank god you’re alright.” Echo placed the child back onto her feet and began running her hands over her, checking her for wounds. Autumn squirmed but allowed the examination, knowing Echo would feel better because of it. Aside from the bandages wrapped around her arms, legs, neck and on her face that hid the scars caused by the experiments from her past. Autumn was fine. Aiden had kept her from running into anybody that would cause her harm as well as alert her to when the monster was coming. Once Echo was assured that the girl was unhurt, she hugged her again, relief flowing through her. Once they parted, Autumn caught the sight of a boy standing behind Echo. The child shrunk back in fear, eyes wide. Echo caught sight of what Autumn was staring at and gave the girl a reassuring smile. “It’s alright. He won’t hurt you. He came in on the ship a few hours ago.” Autumn cautiously inched around Echo to get a better look at the boy. She blinked in disbelief. No….It couldn’t be…He was left behind when they escaped…It couldn’t be… “J-Jason?” Autumn questioned timidly, staring up at him.

Jason stepped forward and got to a knee as he always had when dealing with Autumn. He was aware that Aiden resented him, but didn't care. Autumn had become a little sister to him. "Hey kiddo, been a long time. But we need to get moving, something bad is around here and I'd rather not have to see its ugly face again." He says softly, instantly turning into a boy who knew how to deal with little kids.

Autumn felt tears fill her eyes and she threw her arms around his neck, burying her face into his shoulder. She had missed him so much. Out of all the people in that horrible place, Jason and Mike, the man that had gotten her out, were the only people Autumn trusted besides Echo and Aiden. Jason was like an older brother to her, even though Aiden didn’t really like him. At Jason’s words, Autumn stepped back and wiped at her eyes, tilting her head slightly as she listened to Aiden. “Aiden said the monster isn’t near us.” She replied, happy that they had the advantage of Aiden being able to go through walls and solid objects considering he was a spirit. That’s how she had known Echo had been around the corner, she saw them through Aiden’s eyes. She looked at Echo and gently took Jason’s hand as the android began to lead them down the hall once again, Autumn’s bare-feet not making a sound against the ground.

Jason felt on to Autumn's hand as they walked. He was not about to let the beast get the jump on them and take her, even if they had Aiden as support. He had zero desire to let anything go to chance, so he kept the little girl by his side as they walked. "We've got a lot to catch up on once we are safe, little one" Jason says to Autumn with a soft smile on his lips.

Autumn nodded at his statement. She had so much to tell him! And she had many questions for him as well such as what happened after she left and why he was on Sevastopol. **I still don’t like him. He’s _touching_ you.** Aiden grumbled in her mind. Autumn sighed, glancing into air next to her. _Jason is our friend Aiden, you can’t dislike everyone we came across._ **Yes I can.** Autumn sighed at her twins’ stubbornness. Because of the experiments, her body had stopped aging and even though Aiden and her were supposed to be eighteen years-old, they sometimes still showed a child-like state of mind. _Can't you at least **try** to be befriend him?_ **No.** "Stop being so stubborn Aiden!" She was now scowling at the air a little above her head, having spoken aloud in her annoyance with her brother. She received silence as an answer and Autumn huffed. Echo glanced back briefly at the little girl, used to when Autumn sometimes seemed to be talking to herself when she was speaking with Aiden. Soon the trio arrived at the trams and Echo pressed the call button. A few minutes passed and suddenly Echo froze before she grabbed Jason and Autumn, shoving them both into lockers and barely making it into one herself before four people rounded the corner into the room. Echo stayed stilled, silently praying they left and not look around.
