I am. I just don't like making double posts. Anyhow, while I understand some people want the OOC, I would like to have a bit of setting up beforehand. This is a NRP after all, which usually requires player involvement in the creation of the setting.

In which case...my WIP is going up... Name of Organisation: The Ordo Auream Equitum Emblem: The golden Helmet is the emblem and is engraved on every set of armor. The darker image is the tattoo that each member of the Ordo receives to his or her forearm. Leadership and Structure: The Ordo Auream Equitum is a single organisation that has federalized Chapters all across the Hegemony. The Ordo Auream Equitum bases itself off of the Coven of Jalilu Freemen. Using High Jali as it's base language each member takes a single High Jali name when they enlist. They use the Coven of Jalilu Freemen as their inspiration due to the history behind it. Brave Knights and innovative generals span it's history as well as it's emphasis on moral code, justice and peace. The pinnacle of the The Ordo Auream Equitum's leadership is the Holy Lord-General, currently Holy Lord-General Titus leads the Ordo. Below the Holy Lord-General is the Holy Lord-Protector, a protege to the Holy Lord-General and his right hand in the Hegemony, since the Holy Lord-General is normally preoccupied. The current Holy Lord-Protector is Flaminus. Then below the Holy Lord-Protector is 3 Holy Marshals, each Holy Marshal acts as an advisor to the Holy Lord-General and commands 1 unassigned battalion of Legionnaires. Below the Holy Marshals is the Chapter Masters, each Chapter Master leads 1 battalion and there is 1 Chapter per system. Finally each battalion has it's own set of ranking officers, with the lowest being the Legionnaires. A battalion is normally made up of about 100,000 soldiers, though it can range from 50,000 too 150,000 depending on the size of the system and the recruit pool available. Whilst High Jali is the dominant language officially, it was made more similar to Latin to aid in integrating humanity into the Hegemony. Alignment and Type: Good, Peacekeeping Force. The Ordo exists to seek out those who would disrupt the balance of the Hegemony and bring them to justice with fire and sword. They have close to absolute authority when treason is proven, and before it is, they have their own authority for investigation. Base of Operations: The Ordo operates out of an Asteroid Base. The Asteroid is coded Alpha-X1 and orbits the home world of the Jalilu, Laysari, and in common tongue the asteroid is known as The Bastion. A large complex of barracks, archives, space docks, laboratories, foundries, store rooms and defence platforms are built into Alpha-X1 with a large spine of administrative offices and a transmitter as well. It is the size of a small moon and capable of holding around half of the Ordo at once, though it never needs to do that. Whilst The Bastion is the central home of the Ordo, each Chapter has it's own, much smaller, base within the system it protects. Whilst the Bastion is built with a decor style of Ancient Jalilu culture other bases differ depending on the dominant species in the Chapter and many are not built into asteroids. Assets Available: The Armed Forces are well equipped and have a multitude of assault and heavy weaponry that can be rapidly deployed. Each Chapter also has it's own garage of of vehicles and transports. They also wear a basic flak armor that is servo-enhanced to allow each Legionnaire to fight at his enhanced best. Good funding (Though nothing like a fortune, enough to support itself and have some left over for research and rare circumstances e.g. A planet wide purge.) Advanced, but not leading, technology. The Bastion. The Ordo Fleet; A Capital Class Cruiser 'The Glowing Angel' - A hulking behemoth of fire power that bristles with weapons and can hold up too 3 battalions, 2 fighter squadrons, 2 bomber squadrons and 1 Planetary Cannon. A Bombard Class Cruiser 'The Burning Fury' - A hulking behemoth of fire power that bristles with weapons and replaces it's carrying capacity with extra shielding, armour and gun batteries. As well as 2 Planetary Cannon. 8 Support Class Frigates – Smaller craft that are slightly more manoeuvrable than Cruisers, with less armour and fire power. They do have space for either 1 squadron of bombers or 1 squadron fighters. 12 Escort Class Gunships – Very small vessels that can carry a strike force and have a few ship to ship gun batteries. Each Chapter also has it's own Escort Class Gunship specifically for keeping the system safe and transporting it's forces planet to planet. History of the Organisation: WIP (Will do this when I have other organisations to work with.) Extra: http://www.roleplayerguild.com/topics/75706/posts/ooc --- Name: The Coven of Jalilu Freemen Type: Ancient Culture Information: The Coven of Jalilu Freemen, an Empire that spanned one fifth of Laysari during it's peak. The Coven is haild as the 'Father of Classical Art' in Laysari and many ancient philosophers and inventors were born to the Coven. The Coven invented High Jali, an ancient dialect now, that was similar to Latin however it had some serious differences in enunciation an punctuation. This meant during th ages after the Coven that the language was lost as words became more phonetically spelled and so the language was made obsolete. The Coven left behind many temples and is the basis for the structure of most religious sects due to the theocratic system that the Coven used to rule. The Coven was ruled by Holy Elders, who were selected by the gods, and they ruled with complete authority. Knights of the Coven wore gold helms and bright silver armor. Whilst most historians agree that the Coven was a corrupt and oppressive period of history it has still been romanticized as heroic and noble. Putting justice and lawfulness above all else. APP, Criticism welcomed Organization //////Name of Organisation: Fel' Surveyor Company /////Emblem: ////Alignment and Type: Nuetrail, Pro-hegemony, Frontier Corporation ////Leadership and Structure: (the leader/leaders of the organization and its command structure) - Fel'Drak: Master Surveyor - Fel'Klin: Hunt-Master - Master Surveyor(Survey Branch Leader) --> Head Surveyor(Survey Ship Leader) --> Major Surveyor(Surveyor Squad Leader) --> Minor Surveyor - Hunt-Master(Hunter Branch Leader) --> Hunt-Lead(Hunting Ship Leader) --> Hunt-Major(Hunting Squad Leader) --> Hunt-Minor ///Base(s) of Operations: Fel' Mobile Survey Outpost, orbiting the recently setteled world of Eldrich IV. It serves as a refueling and briefing station for the Hunt Ships. //Assets: - 1 Re-purposed Research Station - 7 Re-purposed Heavy Cruisers(Large lumbering transports of the company. Each holds a Survey/Hunter Company, of which several atmospheric transport and cargo craft dock in. Each ship is largely self-sufficient and facilitates and trains its own crew.) - 500 G-V3200 Atmospheric Transports (Clunky Heavy Transports, fits 16 or so kK'Rash hunters with their equipment, or foregone seats to be used as dedicated LO-to-Surface Cargo Vessels. Won't outrun much, but thick exterior plating protect it from moderate flak. That said requires escort fighters if it expects any trouble) - 800 A-V0420 Light Intercepter Craft (Boxy escort fighters from a bygone era. Heavier armor and higher fire power than its more modern counterparts in exchange for maneuverability. Meant to stick close to cruisers and repel boarding parties and strafing runs) - 1200 zZ'Krat Land Scouts (The cooperation a main ground transport. These hardy half-trucks quickly transverse harsh terrain while seating 8 w/ equipment. These are typically used as the primary squad transport vehicles. - 3200 zZ'Srax Light Speeder (Personal scouting vehicle, the original Hegemony gravity bike design was redesigned into this sleek speed demon, weight was cut down in exchange for some safety features. Additionally some extra storage compartments were added for extended survey and scout missions.) - 800 B-V2134 Mobile Lodge (Serves as surface-side outposts to refit and communicate with Hunter/Survey teams. These outposts sport lodgings for 32 inhabitants as well as small kitchen, messhall and common area. Of course Hunters and Surveyors are not expected to stay long. - 4500 Surveyors - 8000 Hunters - 63000 Misc. Personal (Engineers, Captains, Janitors, transport personel, Pilots etc.) - 4500 "Ship Guard" (Personal equipped to defend the Cruisers and outpost from pirates and other opportunists on their way to a trade station.) Technology consists of past-generation tech: military hand-me-downs, re-built ships, junk-yard projects, antique weaponry(family heirlooms). Nothing state of the art just rugged, tried and tested technology that is known to get the job done. Computers and communications are basic, same as the ships and weaponry. /History of the Organisation: Created by 2 Kk'rahsi brothers over 75 years ago to map out and exploit the feral worlds of the outer-colonies. Their roots began when brothers arrived on the Feral World, Eldrich IV. They hunted local super-fauna and sold the carcasses to a nearby trade outposts. Their exploits reached others, and many hunters and settlers begun converging on Eldrich IV. The brothers created the company as it is now to organize hunts on the larger animal species as well as provide maps and information to newcomers(at a price of course.) Their company gained renown as hardy pioneers and expert hunters. The guild recieved contracts [from other organizations] to work other worlds. These contracts varied from simple survey missions, trapping gigs, pioneer consultants or guards, and on rare occasion, mass-extinction projects. In time their wealth grew and their contracts spanned many worlds, culminating into what they are now. Extra: "None so keen at the hunting of wolves as the dog with wolf blood." AKA The people you hire to make a world safe for habitation without having to glass the shit. --------- Species //////Name of Species: Kk'rashsi /////Home Planet/System: Kk'rash (Isidon III), Jol'rash System (Isidon System) ////Appearance of Species: Species is reptilian in nature as depicted, stands on average between 6 to 7 feet, slightly taller than the average human, but their physiology isn't curtailed to brute strength. They are predominantly slender and dexterous with enough strength to get the job done, they are a hunters not warriors; you kill a lot more beasts if you outsmart and outmaneuver them rather getting injured dueling one. Stamina and perception is the trademark of the species, not ruthless ferocity. ///Cultures/civilizations: Kk'rash consists of multiple large "tribes"(City-States), under the Jol'Rashma, a perceived avatar of the sun god, and leader of its people. The tribes are mostly independent, the god-king acting as a guiding and unifying force. While the species has made recent technological advances, hunting is still a revered and sacred pastime to the point that much of the planet is considered "holy-sites" left pristine and feral to be hunted. //Native Ecosystem: Much of the world consists of tropical or temperate woodlands, but distinct mountains, tundras, and deserts exist with their own native fauna and flora. The super-fauna, considered holy and a great honor to hunt and kill, have adapted to their respected ecosystems and reach an upwards of 20 to 30 feet. /History of Species: For much of their history the cities remained in pre-industrial tech levels. It wasn't until a Rashma came down from the heavens proclaiming the will of the Jol. He united his people under a confederacy, enacting technological advancements such as agriculture, industry and research. While hunting is no longer the primary form of sustenance, it is still revered and practiced vehemently. While tribe cultures vary, one thing is consistent throughout, the importance of the hunt. Designated "holy-sites" around the world remain pristine and feral, where the individual cultures send their boys to become men. These "holy-sites" differ in climate and terrain, and each city-state have developed to hunt the creatures near them. Just under a century ago, Hegemony ships made first contact in what was seen as the golden-age of the kK'Rashi. The god-king said to have prophesied their coming and saw the newcomers as Messengers of the Great One (an updated version of the archaic Sun God). The kK'Rashi welcomed the ships with open arms taking the new tech and gifts in stride; when word of other un-colonized feral worlds reached the youth of Kk'rash, many left for the honor, prestige and wealth that new hunting grounds will contain. Extra: Despite appearances the KK'Rash are omnivores, the reason the introduction of agriculture was important to their ascension. Scales provide a modicum of protection from scratches and bruises from small to medium prey animals. Their claws are able weapons, capable of ripping and rending unprotected flesh. ----- Character(WIP)(Actually what do i put here? Erebus succeeded in that goal rather well by expanding into the asteroid belt faster than even Jalilu corporations could gain rights to sections of it. This remarkable feat however was made possible by the corporations rotten underside that came about just after its founding. Knowing that official channels were slow Erebus sought the new technologies of the Jalilu through other means. Allying itself with several organized crime syndicates Erebus was able to get technology faster and sabotage its competitors, propelling itself to the lead of early Human space development companies. Erebus would continue to be a major name in Human industry even after the Jalilu markets opened up and its competitors staked their claim by using these underworld connections and monopolizing a large share of the asteroid belts richest objects due to its early start. Organization Name of Organisation: The Solar Brotherhood Alignment and Type: Terrorist, Anti-Hegemony, Corporation Affiliated Leadership and Structure:
  • The Solar Council- 50 members
  • Regional Strategists- 1000 personnel
  • Cell leaders- ~10,000
  • Cell operatives- ~289,000
Base(s) of Operations: The operation bases of Freedom Solar are as numerous as there are planets. Wherever there are humans to be found there is almost always a Freedom operations cell. Whether this be a back-room in a space station, an abandoned factory in the slums of a city, or the meeting room of a wealth trading company, Solar members operate from whatever is needed at the time. A central location is built into an asteroid in the Solar System's asteroid belt, hidden among the other many millions of rock so as to avoid detection. Assets: The assets available to the Solar Brotherhood varies from day to day depending on events. Some cells can find themselves with surplus military weapons and advanced electronics while other cells could be reduced to nothing but communicators and personal data pads. On average, though, the Brotherhood remains well-funded for an organization of its type due to connections with corporations. The Asteroid Belt Station Combination of out-dated and state-of-the-art weaponry and vehicles, most leaning towards the former.
  • 4 Patrol Cruisers- heavily modified for stealth and cargo capacity
  • 15 Mining Vessels- Loaned by various corporations with human supremacist ties, most are older models
  • 22 small cargo ships- Same as the mining vessels above.
  • ~300,000 members
  • One stolen Frigate-class vessel- Armed with various extra weapons, this is the only true combat-capable vessel owned by the Brotherhood

> Yes, mainly since humans were among the first species integrated to the hegemony a three of four centuries back; the timeline is still highly subject to change. However, humans have been part of the hegemony for more than half of the time the hegemony as a political entity existed (which has been around 500 years by now- earth and the solar system being integrated 300-400 years ago) Alright, I'm planning on playing as a fleet or other military unit that recruits primarily from human worlds and while its commander is loyal to a fault to the Hegemony, some of the subordinate harbor some supremacist sympathies

Since we are in interest check (OOC will be this weekend) I'll voice my current general concerns about the applications on the whole. What's with the lack of detail on the assets? I find numbers meaningless in a and am unsure on what kind of tech is being used. I was more or less thinking of personnel/ship types and their lore with assets when I saw it. I'll lead by example and post my own app this week to show what I mean. Is it due to uncertainty of tech level? Should I define some baseline hegemony technology?
