**Name:** _Orion De'Laflour_
**Age:** _25_
**Gender:** _Male_
**Personality:** _True to his word, and not at all modest, Orion is a devoted and lighthearted young Mage. He has a habit of saying exactly what's on his mind, or how he feels, regardless of the consequence. His witty remarks are equally paired with intelect of years training under the circle of Magi._
**Role/Title:** _Mage_ | _Born in Analia, one of the most magical territories in the country of Gaea, Orion found himself living in the lap of noble luxury. Son to the King's advisor, Orion has been around tomes and the way of Magi for as long as he can recall._
**History:** _Quite the bumbling apprentice, Orion was constantly shadowing his father around Analia, eager to meet a new stranger and please them with his enchanting retelling's of dragons and men, clashing against the battlefield of lore. He would further excite and amaze the travelers visiting Analia by showcasing his magical abilities, first the flowers made of light, then with minor healing incantations, and finally, a show of him morphing into his spirit form. While those who watched him fawned over the young mage, he lapped up the attention like a puppy starving for a bone. Soon, his magical abilities provided him with more than just the opportunity to charm an audience. With training from his father, and other Magi from Analia and from afar, he learned how to truly become one with the magic that boiled in his blood._
_Years had been poured into his training before Orion had become a man of full respect in Analia's court. It was expected of him to follow in his father's footsteps. Expected to, at least. In the heat of summer, as the invisible waves of warmth blanketed his skin, the young mage decided to visit his steed, Neva, before the sun decided to rest and let night consume the sky. The bright flame of newly emerged dragon lilies sparkled against the cool aura of the townsfolk. The day had been long, with courtly struggles and the unbridled thirst for power from man. It was a relief, to say the least, to be out in the fresh summer air. Of course, this was before Orion found himself bloodied and ashamed, laying against the hard ground._
_Challenged to his claim as the next in line for advisor, Orion found himself unable to decline. He hadn't gotten much farther than the plaza when a power hungry, troll of a man, plodded over to him with his head held in confidence. In Analia, one could only have a hold in prestigious positions if they themselves hold power worthy of such position. Though it seemed odd, challenges never truly occurred in Analia anymore. If anyone wished to have a position out of their reach, they would contact someone with higher standings and make the move politically. Today was quite the day, indeed. Both mages had fought with the elements, fluctuating in power, each quickly becoming drained of their energy. They saw the exhaust in each other's eyes and only spurred on further with their relentless attacks. Orion using wards and ice magic. The dark haired warlock using flames the color of rage, firing it with passion. In the end, the whole plaza had evacuated the premises besides the Magister of the court - Orion's father. Beaten and worn, Orion knew only a way to stall the inevitable. He would lose this, he would lose himself._

_The bumbling young apprentice looked up to his father, wide smile threatening to spill off of his face. "Father, I have a surprise for you!" The dark haired boy laughed as his father knelt down beside him, hand going to stroke his beard in thought._
_"Why, I wonder what this surprise might be....Might you tell me, m'boy?" His father let loose a smile of his own, crooked at the edges._
_Letting loose a small giggle, the boy clamped his tiny hands over his father's cloaked shoulders. "I'll show you, pa!" The boy let his smile fade, a deeply focused expression dawning in it's absence. Closing his tender honey coloured eyes, he began to hum softly, the tune was low and melodic, barely audible over the breeze. When his eyes opened, they were aglow with a light similar to the moon. The healing incantation was novice, and one the boy chose to use most often, if not because of the light tune required. Though, something had been added to it, a nerve calming spell that had flowed directly in with the soft melody. The tiny hands that were covering broad shoulders held a faint green orb within them, now traveling between him, and the site of contact. Knowing his father worked tirelessly with staff in tow, he figured a soothing spell might be nice._
_When the healing incantation was done and over, the boy beamed up at his father, who in turn, ruffled his hair. "You're making out to be my little wizard, aren't you?" He laughed before scooping the boy up in his arms. "With this much power, you'll make a fine apprentice. Power, the only thing you can rely on here." He set the boy down gently, before heading back towards his chambers. Just as his fingertips brushed against the door, he glanced over his shoulder at the boy. "Don't let me down, Orion."_
---
_Standing with the moon at his back, and blood staining his white robe, he began to hum softly. His eyes flickering with a dance of both light and pain. Holding his side with one hand, and clinging to his staff with the other, Orion held fast. His opponent, with eyes as brown as his own, glanced over to the Magisters' presence. Perhaps it was a trick of the moonlight, but Orion thought he saw the ghost of a smile forming on those dark lips._
_Leaves clustered around them began to whirl in the air, circling around them, drawn in by the excess energy hanging in the air like the pale moon above. Drawing his staff closer to his chest, Orion prepared to cast a defensive ward around himself - his spell was interrupted by a sharp pain stabbing into his back. As Orion fell to the ground, knees catching against the pavement, he looked up at the smug victor in front of him. He co - wait... In front? That shot was a short burst spell, he should've been able to see it if it were cast from... Orion could feel his blood run cold. The only person that could've cast that was - _
_"You've let me down, son." The voice was riddled with age and filled to the brim with disdain. Orion could only blink through the haze that had swallowed him whole._
_"I've done more than what you've asked. Let me finish this, father."_
'**_Father?_**' _Orion could feel his world began to unravel itself like magical scrolls, revealing the things that would otherwise be left to the imagination. His stomach churned. He turned his disbelieving gaze to his father, his questioning stare met a cold calculating stare. With a wave of his hand, Orion's father muttered a simple worded sleep spell. Orion, too weak to resist, was easily lulled into shutting his eyes. Sleep whispered lovingly in his mind, slowing his heart to a rhythmic beat, his staff slipping out of his numb hand. Before slipping away into the abyss that called out to him, he heard brief shuffling, and a muffled voice saying: "No - It is finished. He has lost everything, why not let him live? He will be going far away from here. There is no way he will return."_
_It wasn't until he had groggily woken the next day, when Orion truly registered what had happened, and where he was being sent. As soon as he stood and gathered up his staff in his arms, it hit him like the waves hit the side of the small carrier ship. He had been beloved by all, betrayed by the one closest to him, stripped of everything. Now, he was standing on a carrier ship filled with grimy pirates and travelers, all headed to the same place; Waylock._
