No one knows who pulled the first trigger, nor is there anyone left to care. In hindsight, it was perhaps a poor decision to hold a combined NATO exercise simulating a nuclear war right when relations between the Western and Eastern blocs were deteriorating. All it took was one plane to fly too far; one gun to go off in the wrong direction; one soldier to step over a line he should not have and a simulated nuclear war became a real one. Thankfully, cooler heads prevailed before all of Europe burned, but the damage had been done. Germany, Austria and most of the Central European states have effectively ceased to exist. While the surviving nations do their best to pick up the pieces and rebuild, the military forces that had been fighting within the Central European region have been all but forgotten. Some try to reestablish communications with a headquarters that no longer exists, others attempt to reach friendly lines. Some even flourish in the new wasteland, cutting out large chunks of territory for themselves with the remnants of whatever division they once was, but all have the same goal in mind: Survival. --- So...Yeah. This would be a sort of post-apocalyptic RP, where we'd RP as civilian or military survivors trying to fight our way out of the Central European Wasteland. I'm open to people RP-ing as ex-officers-turned-warlords to just spice up the world, but I wouldn't want too many of those to prevent this from becoming a nation vs. nation sort of thing. I want to keep it somewhat small scale, focusing on a group of survivors. We wouldn't have to start off together, of course. Anyway, I'm still open to ideas, so please, if you're interested but you want to see something in this RP, don't hesitate to bring it up!

There'll be a few, aside from character conflicts. Namely: 1) Between military units who are still continuing the war based on their last orders. 2) Between military units who have decided to strike out on their own and are competing for territory. 3) Between individuals fighting over supplies/safe locations/etc, etc Basically your standard conflicts in a post-apocalyptic scenario with the addition of the 1st scenario.
