> Okay, so, I am interested, and if you are at all interested as well, there's a place where you can play YuGiOh online and build your own deck by looking up cards.
You mean Dueling Network/ devPro/ YGOPro? A lot of people use them and it's pretty easy to set up duels there, so I'd be all for any of those. I'd prefer that to staged duels, mainly because dueling people is fun (and I mean it's a show about selling trading cards- if the players don't play, then it's a self-defeating marketing strategy).
I'm usually up to date with things on the OCG, but seeing as how TCG is getting former-OCG exclusives like Noden, Nyarla, Datenshi, Nebra Disk and all that new Star Seraph support (Star Seraph Satellas inbound hoooo boy) I don't know how necessary this is.
The OCG metagame is like... An entirely different place. While the TCG has Burning Abyss, Shaddolls and Qlis to worry about the OCG has Nekroz kicking the ol' Dolls out. A few of their big players (like Manju, Senju and Unicore) were hit to one but the deck remains relevant. It hits the TCG mid-February, which I'm actually looking forward to. As with the TCG, the current metagame revolves around removal (and the anti-Djinn Lock, which makes enough sense).
ANYHOW. Uh. Feather Duster is Limited in the OCG, along with a lot of other errata'd cards (Chaos Emperor Dragon, Crush Card Virus, Temple of the kings, Sinister Serpent, etc;). Qlis are, as always, beating the everloving crap out of almost every other deck other than the mirror match.
Uh... Change of Heart is like... Really abusive. It's worse than Brain Control, mainly because it's a free plus. It's a pretty OP card in a ton of scenarios, so I wouldn't recommend that card of all things lol. Giving people free pluses is not fun for the side who's getting their big boss taken from them. At all.
Supervision in any of the 3 is pretty easy, as each of them have a spectate function. Alternatively, designate a co-GM or have another member spectate the match if necessary. Like a judge of sorts.
Er... I dunno, I'd probably still prefer a more conventional YGO RP- that VR game was a bit weird, and given what decks people have available not compared to back then... Er, yeah.
(Not to mention people can just run 3 D Pris, Raigeki, spot removal, etc;...)
Edit: Wow that was an essay on YGO lol. I can teach pretty quickly if you need someone for that.
