Name: Alexander Nero Age: 16 Appearance:  Bio: Alexander was captured into slavery from his northern village at the age if 5, and lived in-house for a bureaucrat as a working slave. When he became to old to serve his master, the master sold him into the Coliseum. Alexander was born in the northern town of Helmfirth, where he was the son of the leader of the town. His father was Nero, known as the Black Iron king. The town was on the top of A mountain, known as Ironthorn, and they were primarily known for their mighty fighting force. Ironthorn at large was occupied by the Empire to make use of its vast mineral wealth. Helmfirth got in the way, and so they were subjugated by the invading force and lost. In the escape, as he watched his father struck down by a team of 20 solders, Alexander was captured by a group of slavers. When he was brought back to the Anaxan capital, he drew the eye of an old and coldhearted master. He was sold for the sum of 20 gold peaces, and brought back to the master's house. It was quickly found out that he could fight, and during his years in the old man's service he had to serve as a body guard of sorts on several occasions. When he grew too old for it to be an effective disguise the master had gotten another service boy. When he found this out Alexander convinced the old master, a man for whom the Coliseum was a great entertainment, to have him work off his slavery in the Pitt. He trained back into his natural good shape over a few months and finally the master Set up the deal with the management. They set up a coin system for an easy way to get his attention, and his first fight was with a beast. Quickly he rose in the favored ranks and he easily best the lower ranking combatants when he was moved to humans. Strength: 0 Speed: 3 Dexterity: 1 Armor: None, level 1.

Name: Orun Age: 25 Appearance:  Bio: Orun hails from a desert civilization somewhere far to the South of Anaxus Prime. His people are known to periodically pass through Anaxan controlled territories, almost always traveling alone. It is understood in Anax that the desert dwellers travel as a rite of passage, and bring stories and treasures back to their communities. Orun was one such traveler, heading North to seek his fortune. When he came upon the Prime Coliseum, he was intrigued enough to spend what little money he had to watch a fight. From the stands, he watched a pair of slaves with spears cowering in a corner as a griffin, wings clipped, paced back and forth hungrily. He thought to himself that he could do better fighting such beasts, having hunted similar animals back home. He joined the arena to prove it, and has been fighting ever since. He's best known for fighting beasts, and(as he is a free man and can make the choice) rarely accepts fights with men and women. Strength: 2 Speed: 0 Dexterity: 1 Armor: Heavy, level 3. Equipment: Fights with a spear primarily, but always carries a short sword into fights as well. --- Name: Vran Age: Unknown Appearance: When not in the arena, she wears a brass mask that covers her entire face, leaving only the snakes that she has for hair free. The mask is locked securely, and will only be taken off before a fight. There's a hole for her nose and mouth so that she can eat drink and breath, but the mask is uncomfortable and leaves her with sores on her face. Bio: Vran is an interesting and special case in the Coliseum. She is from a lineage of creature-people that Anaxans say were cursed by the gods, for reasons that vary from story to story. To look directly into a gorgon's face up close causes immediate paralysis, and for this reason she is both an interesting show and a dangerous asset. She is handled very carefully, as most who are struck by her power die when their heart stops. Vran is not an ordinary fighter, and is only put in the ring with slaves and condemned criminals, and even then only when the fighter in question has lost favor with the crowd. Vran has been at the Coliseum for just under seven months, and yet she has never lost a match, and is hated by the slaves for it. She is held in the same harsh conditions as the other slaves, but they keep a distance from her as even with her face covered, her snakes have a dangerous bite. She doesn't speak the Anaxan language very well, and is unlikely to improve because no one talks to her. All she understands is that when she fights, her face can feel the free air. To her, the danger of the arena is worth the temporary relief. She is unique even among the slaves as she does not get paid for her victories. Strength: 0 Speed: 2 Dexterity: 1 Armor: None, level 1. Equipment: She is given a shield to block blows, but is expected to kill slaves with her visage alone.

Name: Garvus Strognir Age: 24 Appearance:  Bio: A fabled strongman of the far, frozen north of Anaxus Prime. Garvus was a simple goat farmer, however his selfless and kind-hearted nature had earned him fame across his village, but not further. Garvus's village is in the very north and arctic region that has been conquered by the Anaxan Empire. Unlike the self-centred and care about yourself attitude in the centre of the empire, the village pulls together to form one big community with many feasts in the village hall and celebrations shared throughout the village, even birthdays. The village thrives on farming and has little thought on having a lot of money. Many of the village would account tales, varying from the time Garvus had rescued the goats of his neighbour as they rushed down the hill. He uprooted a whole tree and used it as a blockade to stop the goats from swimming any further. Another, and one of the village's most accounted tales, is the time he used a large piece of wooden wall to stop fire from singing the backs of escaping villagers. Garvus is truly this strong and has done most of these tales. However, he seeked something bigger and so left the farm in the capable hands of his brother and his brother's wife, leaving for the centre of Anaxus Prime. It wasn't long before the tattooed muscleman was spotted, as he picked up two thieves by the collar of their clothes in the middle of a market, each ascended in the air by one arm each. Fortunately, the people who spotted Garvus had spread word of the new man in town, which quickly found it's way to the coliseum. An offer was given to Garvus, and he saw this opportunity to gain more fame. Garvus has never killed a man in the arena before and never plans too, against the crowd's will from time to time. He also puts himself in the way of danger when fighting with allies as much as possible. Old habits die hard. Armor: Medium, level 2. Name: Ogedai Age: 36 Appearance:  Bio: The plains to the East of Anax are ruled by a loosely knit group of clans who fight primarily on horseback. Their tactics and speed in battle have given the Legion a difficult time. Diplomats returning to the nomad clans have brought news of the Anaxus Prime Coliseum, and the Khan of Khans sent one of her greatest warriors to show his skill, so that all of Anax will fear them.
