Would the tar-like stuff be what kidnaps/kills some of the members? I'm fine with that, but I'm just wondering where we are plot wise, haha. Edit: Avani could get hurt in some way, since she's been at an advantage and powerful before while fighting. It could be sweet and lead to some interesting "My saviour/damsel in distress" XD. To be honest, I had thought of suggesting this idea for a while, but then I didn't have any suggestions for who would be the one hurt. I can see why it would be good if Avani was the one now. Unless you want Kasai to be the one. Assuming this is the battle where they're the only ones left. Thoughts?

It could be part of it, I figured the whole thing in general might start spitting out dark spirits, combined with the slimy stuff taking over some people or at least getting them stuck like a tar pit would. As far as who the hero is and who the victim is does not matter to me, but I can also see how it might be more appropriate if Avani is the one, given prior situations and such. Do we want thing fight to result in no survivors other than Avani and Kasai or do we want to leave at least one or two stragglers? Personally I think no other survivors offers more for the 1x1 character development (having no one else to blame/no one else who experienced the same thing/savior-saved complex), while on the other hand one companion could also provide "background noise" after the fact. However, I would choose the former.

I was thinking it could kill most of them, but take one or two prisoners so they have to go find them at whatever place it took them. The prisoners could be killed off as well later on then. I agree that killing everyone else except those two would be the most appealing with that reasoning, but we don't need to kill them all at the same time right now.

Hahaha, yeah... well I plan on losing a team member on my next post. Still deciding which one but I'll leave it a surprise. How do we want the other two to get taken? I don't really have any ideas other than either spirits come out of the "thing" and overwhelm them or they get taken over by the goo. If we want to get past the goo though, they could be taken by other spirits away from that site.

They must be some awful quality coats if they break like that just by pulling. I imagined like a hole or rip, but don't get me wrong, I really don't want it edited, hahahaha. I'm sure Avani would enjoy it immensely if she wasn't grief stricken after Ryuu dies. I was thinking some flying spirits could carry them off? I do like the idea that the goo maybe possesses them, but I'm not sure how that would work in the long run. I kind of want Ryuu to deal some serious damage to the goo monster too before he succumbs to his wounds.

Yeah looking back I didn't word that portion properly, haha. I imagined it as a hole, but a little bigger than the size of her hand since the goo acted like superglue. Ah well, small potatoes. And that could work, as they try to escape the bulb in the middle spits out flying spirits and they come after them, sweeping them away. Maybe Ryuu could deal that sufficient damage and then that is the monster's response to it.
