Oh wow... This was definitely worth waiting for :) You have a very fluid writing style that I am fascinated with; this should be fun! You set the tone of the RP well and you painted a very nice initial picture of Curdle :) I'll respond tonight or sometime over the weekend. I still have to read through some of our brainstorm posts -- it's been so long that I've forgotten certain details *headdesk* Go me and my crappy memory, lol. But I'll do my best to make a worthy reply.

Wonderful. Glad you liked it. :) Lol, totally my fault, but I forgot a few too. heh Had to reread stuff. Good thing it's all still there. I think I like this new character tab thing. :D I'll add in destinations and stuff to the first post once we have them.

*whew!* That's a relief. She was actually pretty fun to write, once I got started :) My female characters can be very hit-and-miss, so I'm glad I started strong with Miria.

Well, I think you hit the nail on the head with this one. I may or may not have half a reply already in the works. >.> But now I have to do homework... I keep telling myself, just notes, Nem, that's all you're typing here, and then notes turn into rawrg look! a post! How'd that happen? I blame you lot.

Haha! Yes, we're evil that way :3 Terrible, horrible distraction! My post was written ridiculously late (or ridiculously early, depending on who you talk to) because I had to get nasty homework done first. Ugh. Looking forward to your reply :D

Homework, defeated! For the moment... >.> I made stuff up. Wheeeee! Also, messi is supposed to be the equivalent of miss or ma'am, but slightly more respectful, only used on strangers, and those above your station. Messer (yes, I know it's a weapon and germanic, shhhh I like the sound) would be the masculine form. So, jinn could really use it on anyone who is not jinn(excepting slaves) and for whom they don't have a more specific honorific. Extenuating circumstances aside, anyway. :P

It occurred to me, while reading your latest post, that I should have positioned Miria to be leaving the town, to be talking to a gatekeeper or a caravan leader from the get-go. *headdesk* Apologies for my oversight! But you made up for it well :)

Haha, no worries there, provided they get out before big trouble happens,it's all good. That, or big trouble must be escapable. :P heheheh

I'm not sure if it's too clear, but the cart he's in is supposed to be Miria's. He didn't have time to notice that Raha wasn't tied up, which he definitely would have thought was weird... :P And I wasn't sure if there'd be any identifying features other than that. Also, it is not necessary that Miria not give him up if she finds him(which I'm assuming she will at some point unless she's really bad at packing her cart :P). She just needs to dump out the urn somewhere, and then Curdle would be able to get away on his own, unless it took her too long to find the urn. :P But if she does turn him over, then she's probably out of the rp, since it would be terrible coincidence for them to meet up three times without already knowing each other.;) however, if you think that's her most likely course of action and would like to keep playing her, we can discuss other possibilities. Hi :) Just letting you know that I haven't forgotten about the RP (that's sorta impossible, haha). Finals for this term in school are around the corner, so I've been crazy-swamped. But I promise to get something out within a few days. Thanks so much for your patience!

Good luck on your finals! And don't sweat getting a reply out until you've got the time. Or just need a break, I suppose. ;)

Fiiiiiinalllyyyyyyyyyy! Soooo sorry for the delay! Finally done with school for a little while. I'll try my best not to let this lapse so long again; Miria was getting quite agitated with me for neglecting her. And Raha... oh man, a cranky, stubborn donkey is not a pleasant one :p Anyway, hope you enjoy!

Eeeheeeheehehehehehehehehehe! Fun times. Making stuff up is fun. It did occur to me, whilst writing that post, that a cart on sand dunes is an unlikely occurrence. Or, at the least, rather more a hindrance than a help, but this can probably be solved with wide wheels and maybe magic. Or something else... I've never actually tried carts on sand.

I assumed there would be cart-friendly roads through the desert, though that was probably a poorly-researched assumption on my part. I don't think I described the wheels in detail, though, so maybe it could be more like a sleigh. Or maybe, as you say, it can move over the sand by magic. OR perhaps to be part of a caravan you must pay the caravan leader, who has a jinni with the magical ability to harden sand just long enough for carts to travel on. I suspect it would be quite the profitable business.

I think there was mention of roads somewhere in our plotting, just not sure what for. Lol I like that idea of a caravan master with a jinni hardening the sand, that's a good jinn based business. :) lets go with that, it's fun. :P It keeps travel restricted to stars and counting dunes, but still allows for carts. Probably not too many, but I'm sure there's enough rich people who'd like to travel in style and in permanent shade, to merit it even if most merchants don't need it. Some would be bound to see the benefit of being able to carry more without having to feed as many animals.(me thinking aloud... typing out loud?)

*nod* Hiring a guide could be cheaper than the purchase and upkeep of multiple pack animals, especially if the cost is split among a larger party of merchants. Plus, a caravan leader, with his slave's power, can protect merchants from bandits, prevent them from getting lost in the desert, and keep them hydrated throughout the trip. I would imagine that unless one knows the desert, it would be very dangerous to travel without hiring someone who knows what they're doing. That, in turn, could give our characters a stronger element of urgency should we end up making them travel alone. I felt like I was grasping at straws a little to make this recent post plausible. I absolutely want to keep Miria in the story; now it's just weaving a believable way to do so :)

Brilliance! :)

Heh, we can figure out ways to keep her around if Curdle were to get captured. Or, if there's something he could do or say that might convince her to help him? I could possibly have him do that. He's also capable of more magic than he realises just now to accomplish his goal, so if there is the chance that he'd get caught in or near the cart, he might show that and then realise for himself and new options appear for getting him and that urn out of the city.

Options that don't require Miria and then he can just kinda, walk up all sheepish like once they're outside the city. lol

It's funny -- I was thinking that your last line would probably be what would end up happening -- Curdle would meet Miria again somewhere outside of the city. The only thing I know for sure is that she definitely will not have him leave the city with her. She's already taking enough risk as it is, she has nowhere to hide Curdle (the guards would check her tiny cart), and she barely knows the guy enough to go that much out of her way to help him. Right now, her idea of helping him is letting him go without alerting the guards.

I don't think there is much he could say that would convince her to help him escape. She may feel a little sorry for him if he tells the truth and if she believes him, but I think it's too soon for her to go the extra mile... unless we really kick ass with the dialogue and they form an instant connection. But I dunno...

Well, in any case, it seems like you've got a plan in place if Curdle is caught, otherwise we'll see how clever he is leaving town. We'll see how it goes! :D
